Thank you for inviting me to Judge the Keeshonds. Congratulations to the SCCA for a well-designed show ground plan. I would also take this opportunity to give credit to all the keeshond exhibitors for their presentation within various classes after a long absents 13 months away from the dog show hobby. Appreciation to my 2 stewards, sadly did not have time to note their names, but you know who you are. Thank you for the splendid running of the show ring number 10. I did find improvement since l last judge quite impressive for our breed. The height for the leg and reach for the arch neck, good bone, good condition for the coats. Generally, over all I had a super choice on the day.

Mrs V & Mr S Marshall, ARABESQUE AT DEVONIA (IMP RUS).

3 years old, well define clear head markings as wolf expression. Muzzle length to stop equal in length for the flat skull, seen above for the wedge. Almond shape dark eyes, ivy shape ears well set for the head balance. Good reach of neck to form arch towards the depth of the brisket, shoulders slightly sloped, good straight front, nice length of the leg, good bone, cat like padded feet. Top line, short back, as equal balance in height from the withers, with nice tuck up as seen on the stand with high set tail. Hindquarters strong well tone muscles, hocks good pressure angulation same for the pasterns in correct pose position. Coat condition excellent, All markings impressive for a keeshond. Good movement, drive, clean and sharp.

Miss T A Church, SHELDERON STEMMIG SAGE WITH TYKEES

4 years old another impressive male. Head moderate stop for the muzzle to the flat skull equal in length. Good almond shape dark eye, spectacles delicately pencil slanting from the corner of the eye to lower corner of the ear, clearly outline the brows. Ears correctly set, good jaw line with correct upper teeth closely overlapping lower teeth, black lips. Nice reach of the neck for arch, adding towards depth brisket. Shoulder blade correct position, nice spring of the rib cage, nice length of the leg with cat like padded feet. Hindquarters strong with good muscle tone. Pasterns and hocks good to the eye for the stand. Good movement and clean turns for the triangle. Coat good condition, markings slightly lighter than one.

Mr G R & Mrs S Rose, ROSSVALE ENDEAVOUR TO ESORKEES.

Very compatible generally in every sense for a Keeshond. Head well define markings for fox- like impression. Both muzzle and flat skull wedge equal in lengths. ivy small dark ears well set. Dark eye well almond shape, head markings impressive especially for the brows. Correct teeth bite, black lips. Well impressive head altogether with good jaw line. Strong reach of the neck forming nice arch to show off slightly slope shoulders. Well form depth of the brisket. Hindquarters powerful, good tone muscles, excellent bone throughout. Top line, short back, high set tail. Well comparable structure. Pasterns and hocks both correct stand position as required. Coat in full bloom with ruff and trousers good texture and well outline body markings. Movement sound with full coverage of the ground, straight drive, clean corners. Nice finish square.

Mr C & Miss N L Hickson. CH KICHIGAL’S ONLY THE LONLEY. DCC, BOS. Came 4th in the Champion Stakes. Eye catching keeshond in all respect. Head fox-like impressive, muzzle length to the stop equal in length to his flat skill clearly outstanding wedge seen from above, small dark ivy ears well set position. dark almond eye, all face markings impressive, good jaw line, teeth bite corrects. nose and lips true black. Good reach to form arch neck, deep brisket, slope shoulders, nice length of leg, good bone, neat padded cat like feet, nails black. Beautiful ruff. Body, short back, true square balance, length from withers to tail, equal withers for the height. Good spring rib cage. Hindquarters strong muscled, hind legs straight viewed from behind, hocks slight angulation. Movement sound outward and on the return sure had the impression of excellent, nice finish on the square. Coat markings mixture grey and deep black true colour, cream undercoat, profuse light trousers, full bloom curl tail over back with black tip. Good tuck up to complete over all. Well-pleasing to the eye on presentation given.

Mr D Peck. KWAJONGEN HE’S A DANDY BYQUY. RDCC. Another quality Keeshond throughout slightly larger than one. Well-deserved RDCC. Distinctive fox-like impression colouring outlines. Head, muzzle and skill equal in lengths, ears well placed viewed above for the impression outline wedge, strong law line, good teeth bite, black lips and nose, almond shape dark eye, well thinly pencil markings to corner of the eye to corner of the outer ear as spectacles, clear light brows. Deep brisket, impressive arch neck. Shoulders well placed, Front straight, cat like feet. Excellent bone throughout. Very well tone mature body, strong hindquarters, hind legs straight viewed from behind, hocks angulation excellent. Good tuck up. Coat harsh in full bloom, high set curl tail over back lovely light plumage carried well at all times. Movement sound with drive determination, sharp, impressive stand for the square.

Veteran Dog/Bitch. Entries (1). Plus came 4th in the Veteran group Mrs J A, Dr K, Mrs S, Mrs S & Mr S Miles, Cullen.

CH ROSSVALES’S LEGACY FOR LEKKERBEK. Veteran Group 3rd place. Quality on going. Head, really dark almond shape eye, dark velvet dark ivy ears correctly set. Muzzle and skill equal in lengths, stop showed this off well. Good strong jaw line, correct teeth bite, black lips and nose. Define spectacles and brows well visible in colouring. Well distinctive arch neck, shoulders well in position. impressive deep brisket, good spring of the rib cage, nice length of the leg, cat-like feet, pasterns well in place, good straight front. Body well-toned, top line short back, equity in length from high set tail to weathers, the same for the height. Hindquarters strong and toned. Good bone, hocks well placed angulation. Straight hind legs viewed from behind, compact balance all together with good tuck up. Coat was harsh, his ruff in full bloom as well as his profuse trousers. Movement sound, sharp turns, good coverage of the ground, nice square finish.

Puppy Bitch. Entries: (4) Absent (2).

 Ms D Gregory. AMIKIRS LOVELALICIOUS. Short listed in the puppy stakes. 9 months old very pretty feminine puppy. Head beautiful, dark and light markings with dark eye. Her overall general appearance so well in tune and impressive proportion balance just perfect expected at her young age, super bone, her body frame, spring of rib and mussel toning developing nicely. Her coat nice condition, overall rich black plus grey, off-white cream, colouring all distinctive seen throughout forming were markings need to be clearly noted, high set tail for her developing frame. On movement covered all the ground as required with a runner standing by. The presentation impressive, beautiful finish she showed with great confidence and has quality. I can see she has a bright future ahead, one to watch.

 Mrs C Bell. ALLFORUS ENTERNAL FLAME. This puppy only 6 months old. What a delight to see too. She was not feminine at this stage but what magnificent over all complete balance appearance really took my breath away. Beautiful head very fox like rich black muzzle, dark eye, character head colouring developing nicely. general body tone impressive, nice length of leg, well spring rib, quite delightful to see even so young, she sure has a super outstand appearance for the leg, arch neck, to go with her developing well in portion for the body frame. I have seen this type of Keeshond breed in the past that came from well-known breeders, sadly no longer with us. Really delightful. Her puppy coat naturally very tight and light, markings coming through in time be more distinctive. Movement, first time in the ring, very playful excited enjoying herself generally but that in time and practice easy be controlled. I think the owner was more excited showing her off today. Another puppy bitch with a bright future, one to watch indeed. Both puppies were slightly different with high quality, exciting for their futures.

Ms D Gregory, MIKIRS LOVELALICIOUS.

Mrs V & Mr S Marshall: DEVONIA BLACK PEARL. Truly pleasing fox- like expression face beautiful clear markings tones. Distinctive head shape for the muzzle with stop clearly identify the skill equal in length with require wedge seen from above in line with correct ivy ears setting as true. Good reach of neck forming arch, well deep brisket, nice slight sloped shoulder blades, good straight front, good leg length, hindquarters good bone and toning strong impression and as seen for the hind legs straight on the movement. Top line short back well in line with the required in measurements from tail to weathers length again as for weathers for the depth. Nice tuck up. The position for the pasterns and hocks perfect this showed on good movement as seen. High set tail in full bloom, coat excellent condition, clear identified body markings. Movement sound sharp and good corners for the square and finish presentation.

Post Grad Bitch. Entries: (2}

Miss T A Church; LEAZEHOND AMBER STEPPES FOR TYKEES. Well portion head balance. Muzzle with skill, both equality in lengths, almond shape dark eye, Ears sure ivy shape not small, slightly larger. Set correct to suit skill balance over all. But to be fair her main fur was slightly out of fullness and to me this was not to her advantage, I would say also her main coat possible had a bath and took the volume out being slightly soft. On a good note, Face markings outline the fox-like impression very well distinguishing her spectacles and brows beautiful blending colours and with the rest of her head. Correct teeth bite, black lips and nose. Good arch neck, well define shoulder place position, good length of leg, well tone hindquarters along with her body tone as well. Good front and rear all correct straight and true, pasterns and hocks well placed, cat like padded feet. Movement with drive performance covering ground, nice square finish.

Mrs L & Mr S Axford & Sherwood. KWAJONGEN SHES A MODEL. Head for the muzzle and skill both equal in length. Well-define skill wedge with correct ear setting. Dark almond eye, all head markings well out lined. Good reach neck to form arch leading to good brisket, well spring of rib, leg length good, cat like padded feet. Shoulder blade position slightly sloped as required. Hindquarters good and generally toned up throughout. Good bone. nice tuck up to complete picture with straight front same for the back as viewed, high set tail. Movement OK. Her coat was not at its best which was a shame.

  Mrs J Sharpe-Bale. NERADMIK BERRY’S SWANSONG. Head impressive so to like. Both muzzle and skill equal in length good stop to show this, correct small ivy velvet ears correctly set on wedge shape skill seen as from above. Deep dark almond shaped eye, very delicate pencil dark line from outer corner of the eye to lower corner of the ear. Really showed the eyebrows light colouring. Teeth correct for the bite, black lip excellent jaw line. Beautiful balance head, rich dark colour, distinctive light grey, off white cream as appropriate express for general wolf expression. Good reach of neck form arched, shoulders slightly sloped, well define depth brisket, good bone with nice length of the leg, pasterns correct position leading to cat like padded feet. Good straight front. Good spring for the rib cage. Hind quarters firm and toned. Hind legs good length and bone, hocks show slight angulation as required. Good straight back viewed. top line short back. High set tail to weathers same length as for the height measurements, good tuck up. Body well compacted impressive outline. Coat excellent condition, harsh, profuse trousers, beautiful ruff, nice bloom tail curled over back. Clear body markings outline the general statistics appearance. Movement sound, straight sharp, good corners and nice finish square.

Lady K S & Mr C Hickson. KICHIGAI’S UPTOWN GIRL.JW Another Impressive bitch similar to one but a bit smaller in size generally. Head well portion in length both for the muzzle and skill. Small ears correctly set on wedge shape skill, rich dark toning for the muzzle a long with the outline character colouring for the wolf like impression to go with, correct teeth bite, good jaw line, dark eye well outlined for the spectacles. Shoulder correct position leading to depth brisket. Good bone, nice leg length, hindquarters well-toned good bone, straight position on the back view, same for the front on the standing. Both pasterns and hock stood as required. Good top line, well balance outline square high set tail carried over back. Good tuck up to complete the picture. Coat nice condition, nice full ruff along with the profuse trousers. Movement well in tune, clean sharp with nice finish.

Open Bitch. Entries:(5} Absent (1) Mrs S E Lindsey. CH COSMIC DREAM’S DAMN YOU LOOK GOOD FOR MEZANDA (IMP NOR) JW. BCC. BOB. Very attractive feminine bitch Impressive all together. Head as follows, dark rich colouring for the muzzle with stop equal for the length flat skill, wedge shaped as seen above, perfect set for the small ivy pointed black ears. Dark almond shaped eyes well define pencil thin line markings from the outer corner of the eye to outer corner of the ear forming impressive spectacles along with the lightness outline for the brows. Beautiful shading for the rest of the head all together adding fox-like impression. Teeth bite correct upper to slightly over lapping lower. Black lip and nose. Good jaw line. well slopped shoulders to form good reach of the neck to allow good arch to allow depth brisket. Nice length of the leg, good pasterns positioned, round padded cat like feet. Nice straight front viewed, good full bloom ruff. Very impressive compact body. Hind quarters so well-toned good length for the hind legs with excellent bone, hocks nicely in position. Again, padded round cat like feet, black nails. Real square outline measurements balance, Start from high set tail to the weather’s length wise same weathers for the height. Excellent coat condition, well define feathered trousers. Movement pleasing covered ground with sharp straight lines, clean turns good 4 points for the square. Attractive bitch throughout.

T & C Rogers. CAN GR/AM CH CEDARHILLS-SHAMROCK FOREIGN EXCHANGE AT KEEZ (IMP CAN). RBCC. Another impressive bitch. Slightly larger overall balance than with one. But well impressive quality as well. Super head, muzzle and flat skill wedge shape head equality in length, correct balance for the ears setting, dark eye, head markings well visible for the spectacles and brows given off the fox-like impression, good teeth bite, top slightly over lap bottom teeth. black lip and for the nose. Correct sloped shoulders to allow good reach of the neck to form nice arch, good spring of rib cage. Plus-correct width for the front. Good length of the leg and excellent bone, pasterns correctly in position, nice round tight cat like feet. Nice straight front. Hind quarters well-tone muscles with good bone, hind legs length, hocks well fitting, trousers in full bloom. Top line good measure in length and height from weathers, balance for the body frame with nice tuck up to show this. Coat excellent condition, all required body markings visible, high set tail carried over back with full light plume. Movement impressive brisk, straight sharp. Nice square finish.
