Many thanks to the secretary and committee of the club for the invitation to judge their well-run show, with a very friendly atmosphere. Thank you for your hospitality and wonderful gifts- a lovely day indeed. I was pleased with the quality of exhibits entered, with some close decisions and great sportsmanship.

Bearded Collie

Puppy: (1 entry, 0 absent)

1st Rigler Back To Bob At Barbudo 11 month dark slate. Feminine head with dark eyes to show an affectionate expression, correct bite and dentition. She has good angulation both front and rear, with nice length and depth of rib. Steady, balanced picture on the move, taking everything in her stride. Would like to see her move out more positively which will come in time. Nicely presented and sympathetically handled-a new team, who I’m sure will develop together as their show career progresses. Post Gradaute (6 entries, 1 absent)

1st Boddington Kitesover Passchendale Boy JW 5 year old slate. Strong masculine head with an expression which simply demanded attention. Strong jaw and muzzle with excellent dentition. Nicely arched neck, deep chest and good lay of shoulder with good angulation both in front and rear. Correct length and shape of rib coupled with a strong loin allowed him to maintain a solid topline. Well-presented and handled to get the best out of him today. RBOB

2nd Griggs Malandex Xpressly French for Emazenridge JW 2.5 year old slate. A tough decision between these two boys. Another with good strength of head, with a lovely dark eye and pigmentation. Deep chest, good lay of shoulder and correct rib. Well-constructed with good angulation in both front and rear. Beautifully presented in fit condition, just did not have the drive and animation he normally displays today in a small ring.

Open (5 entries, 2 absent)

1st Salter Irisaddition Effie Trinket JW. 4 year old slate. Feminine, elegant bitch. Correct head with dark eye and pigmentation, arched neck flowed into well laid shoulders. Good forechest and depth of chest. Excellent length of rib, good front and rear angulation, combined with a well-muscled rear and correct hocks. She came into her own on the move, dropping down into herself moving with reach and drive covering the ground effortlessly. An impressive showgirl, immaculately presented in fit condition. BOB Thrilled to see her go Grp 2.

2nd Boddington Braddabrook Voyager at Kitseover JW 10.5 year old slate. This lad totally belies his age and stepped into his showing shoes with ease. Good head with the darkest of eye, good angulation in both front and rear, combined with correct length of rib and short loin, allowed him to show smooth balance on the move, holding a strong topline.
