Premier Open Show

Saturday 1st February 2020

I was honoured to be invited to judge Best In Show and thoroughly enjoyed my day. Thank you to the extremely hard working Officers and volunteers for making it all happen.

BIS

Hunt’s Glynsam White Dream at Artsam, Samoyed. This mature boy was on top form in a very evenly balanced BIS line up. He is beautifully structured. Excellent for head shape and pigment. Good depth of chest. Straight, sturdy front legs with super feet. Coat beautifully presented. Well angulated hindquarters. Exemplary showman he was foot perfect on the move and attentive to his handler at all times.

Reserve BIS

Morley & Hitchcock’s Mezrab Red To talk To Lizlanmor, Pekingese. Have seen him progressing as he matures. Impressive shallow head, expressive dark eyes and a black mask to set it off. Sturdy front assembly well slung; compact in body and defined waist. He wasn’t on his best form today demonstrating that typical stubborn character of the breed but on the final go around redeemed himself.

BPIS

Dowdy’s Denzilly Sweet Cariad, SCWT. A very promising youngster whose profile when standing looks so well balanced. Super body proportions, topline and well set tail. Coat already of a lovely colour and texture for age. Moved really well and handled to perfection.

Reserve BPIS

Bott, Allen & Morgan’s Quensha Just Like Fire, Irish Setter. This super young dog is really impressive for head shape and expression. Showing great promise he already has balanced bone, super neck length and shoulder placement. Enthusiastic mover if not a little over exuberant at times!

Best Import Register In Show

Allen’s Prince Snow Allmark Du Bois Des terns (Imp France), White Swiss Shepherd. Another very promising youngster that pressed hard in the BPIS challenge. Presented to perfection and handled superbly, this young dog has great head proportions, a well arched neck and good lay of shoulders. Ample depth to chest and well ribbed. Hindquarters are correctly angulated producing strong rear drive. Held a secure topline at all times.

Lhasa Apso

1. Gee’s Watercroft Stolen Moment, Bitch, 9 months old. A really promising youngster with a good outline both in stance and on the move. She is very feminine but well made. Lively at all times, she is well angulated throughout with a secure top-line. She covered the ground with ease. Definitely one to watch! BP & RBOB

2. Stevenson’s Brickin Tell Me All, Bitch 6 months. An absolute baby but so appealing! I loved her head and expression. Already square and solid with super spring of rib and short strong loins. Super mover. Giving a lot away in maturity but another very nice one.
