Clackmannanshire Canine Club Open Show 14th March 2020

Many thanks to the committee for inviting me to judge this show. All the dogs were presented in clean condition, no bad mouths presented, I was pleased with the general condition of the dogs.

Golden Retriever

Junior, (5 Entries 1 Abs)

1st Beck Miss & Mrs K & S, Denmarella Everyday The Sun, 11mth old boy of medium size, lovely head with kind expression, good front with correct feet and ample bone, clean neck into well laid back shoulders, good depth of chest with ample room, short coupled with level topline and correct tail set used well on the move, good rear angulation, moved lovely with handler showing good drive, so steady for a youngster. Coat in lovely condition, presented well, a promising future if he continues to develop. Best of Breed  

2nd Barron & Jenkins Mr & Ms J & C, Rannaleroch Cotton Spinney 9 mth old pale boy larger frame that 1 masculine head with good pigmentation, clean neck into well laid back shoulders, front construction straight with good bone tidy correct feet, level topline with tail coming correctly off and held well on the move, lovely rear angulation, moved well but still looked very much a youngster.

1st O’Neil Mrs J, Lewisglen Fantasy 17mth pale bitch very feminine head with good pigmentation excellent reach of clean neck into correct shoulder placement, good front with lovely feet, level topline with correct tail set, good depth of chest and correct rear angulation, moved well with handler, she presented a lovely picture in profile although today she was missing that sparkle.

2nd Beck Miss & Mrs K & S, Happier De Ria Vela (Imp Esp) 2 year old mid gold boy in lovely condition, good head with nice chiselling, lovely front construction with excellent bone and correct feet, clean neck into correct shoulders, level topline, correct well-muscled rear quarters moved steady although tail was slightly high today.

2nd Warden Mrs AR, Noblemoon Tak The High Road to Glentochty, 2 and a bit year old mid gold boy of good size, correct head with good chiselling, clean neck into well laid back shoulders, good front with adequate bone, correct feet, level topline held on the move, rear quarters of good angulation and muscled, tail set correct and carried well on the move, steady with handler.

1st Warden Mrs AR, Eyevalley Macallan of Glentochty ShCM Vw 9 year old boy in lovely condition for age, good head with kind expression, lovely pigmentation, front is still good with correct feet, good clean neck, correct shoulders, level topline with good depth of chest, deep through the heart, correct rear angulation with tail held correctly off the top and used well on the move.
