Standard Long-Haired Dachshund

Class 1 Puppy: (6 1A)

1 Paskin’s KINDEACE TEXAS RANGER. What a super young man he is. Superb breed type, well off for bone, deep chest and strong throughout. Masculine headpiece with kind eye and expression, excellent pigmentation, dentition. Good length of neck, well-angled fore and aft level topline. Covers the ground with ease true out and back, showing excellent reach and driving from behind. Tight well-knuckled feet. One I will watch with interest BP, so pleased to see this young man achieve Reserve Best Puppy in Show.

2 Fossett’s BRYSDAX MAMMA MIA. Another promising youngster feminine head with lovely expression, good dentition, has good type and outline. Moved soundly coming and going covering the ground well

Class 3 Post Graduate: (2)

1 Paskin’s BRONIA FINAL KISS AT KINDEACE Well-made youngster nice head and kind eye. Lovely length of neck, nice front and rear and angulation level topline with good depth. Stands four square and moves soundly out and back covers the ground well.

2 Vincent’s TAN SOCKS AT GAINSCROFT from a smaller mould but another sound youngster has everything in the right place and balanced. Moves freely out and back

Class 4 Limit: (2)

1 Wedge’s DANTON FIRE DANCER AT DOLANS Feminine head pleasing expression and dark eye. Neck of good length. Shoulders and rear well-angled topline level. Extends fore and aft covers the ground well nice feet.

2 Paskin’s KINDEACE SCARLETT O’HARA Very similar to 1 nicely put together with many of the same attributes, moves out with purpose, I just preferred the front of 1

Class 5 Open Dog: (2)

1 Rodrigues DARSOMS ZYDEXTA Quality male of substance, Masculine head with most appealing dark eye, neck of good length correct forward angulation showing excellent reach topline level with good depth and strong throughout. Super rear angulation giving a superb drive from behind. Moves soundly out and back covers the ground effortlessly. Stands on well-knuckled feet BOB

2 Paskin’s CEDAVOCH ITS TABOO AT KINDEACE Smaller mould than 1. Pleasing head and good eye, well-arched neck good angles fore and aft, covers the ground out and back with ease, has a lot to like.

Class 6 Open Bitch (3) A lovely class!!

1 Paskin’s CH. ABYDACHS SUMMER DREAM AT KINDEACE Sh CM Super type with lots to like about her. Feminine with lovely head piece eye and colour, soft expression, dentition good. Strong neck leading to well-laid shoulders with good angles. Topline level, excellent rear angles Covers the ground out and back with ease free-flowing movement with tightly knuckled feet. I was amazed to learn she’s almost 10 years old.

2 Fossett’s BALTIC LEGACY VIA AMBERTECKEL Unlucky to meet 1 today. Has many of the same attributes and movement is sound and purposeful. Covers the ground easily with good angulation and depth. Topline level with good feet.

1: Delany’s BENSARKS CLODAGH Beautiful rich red showing excellent breed type having both quality balance throughout and stunning in profile. Head feminine with lovely eye and expression. Strong neck with super forechest and front angulation. Level topline held on the move super-strong hindquarters with lovely tight feet. Moves cleanly out and back BP

Class 8 Junior (2)

1: Armstrong’s OWLANDER FIRST EDITION More compact than the winner of previous class but balanced and of good length overall and strong topline. Pleasing head and expression good shoulders and topline. Well angled rear stands square on lovely tight feet. Covers the ground easily BP

2: Chance & Moses DOTLUN PINK GIN Finer in bone than 1 but lots to like feminine head, expression and dark eye. Well angulated fore and aft topline softer than that of 1, covers the ground. Sound out and back

Class 9 Post Graduate (2)

1: Borrelli’s PPHILABAR THE ORIGINAL Well-made and showing nice balance throughout. Nice head and expression. Correct forechest and front angles topline strong rear. Moves soundly out and back on well-knuckled feet. RBB

2: Clark’s TIESAL DEBUTANTE Nicely made with many of the attributes of 1, good angles, topline and movement, but sadly carrying just a bit too much weight for me on the day.

Class 10 Limit (No Entries)

Class 11 Open Dog (2 1A)

1: Kerry’s KIRETON BEAU DIDLEY Well off for bone and hard to fault. Strong and balanced throughout, well developed keel good shoulders and angulation. Topline level and held on the move. Has good ground clearance and super rear end. Covers the ground with ease parallel out and back lovely tight feet. BOB

1: Smith’s WINDFALLS COCO NOIRE (Imp USA) What a little sweetie, I fell in love with her as she walked into the ring super breed type. Lovely head and expression balanced frame and good angulation fore and aft, topline strong and level. Moves out with drive true both coming and going standing square on good feet. Full of character and not phased BP

2: Howe’s LUNA ECLIPSE AT BRAMALODGE Another nice puppy with good breed type Lovely head and expression good front and shoulders strong topline, quarters with tight feet. Moves true out and back unlucky to meet 1 today.

Class 14 Junior (3)

1: Eldred’s DERDLEDASH MOON BEAM Nice bone throughout with pleasing head and expression. Shoulder and front well-constructed good topline and quarters movement true covering the ground with ease both out and back.

2: Howe’s BRAMALODGE BILLIE JEAN Well balanced nice head and expression. Well-constructed front with level topline quarters used to advantage on the move just a little closer behind that 1

Class 15 Post Graduate (3)

1: Eldred’s BRAMALODGE AMIETY AT DERBLEDASH Nice head and expression with well-proportioned body well angled with good topline held on the move strong rear with good feet. Covers the ground although moves slightly uneven in front

2: Eldred’s BRAMALODGE BIDDY BOO From a slightly smaller mould than 1 but with as much to like. Head expression and front well made as is the rear lovely feet moves out elbows not as clean as 1

Class 16 Limit (2)

1: Adams TECKLEGARTH GATLING JW Well-proportioned with a lovely profile showing both balance and breed type. Lovely to go over and nothing to fault! Masculine head and expression strong neck with excellent shoulders and angulation and pronounced keel. Topline strong and level kept on the move rear quarters well-muscled and fully developed. Movement sound going out and coming back showing both drive and purpose. Stand square on super tight feet. Just fell in love with this young man BOB. So, so pleased to see him go Best in Show.

2: Howe’s KISSDACHS BILBAO AT BRAMALODGE Nicely made good head and expression well angled front and read level topline moves out well covering the ground but not as cleanly as 1.

Class 17 Open Dog (3 2A)

1: Smith’s SALIXIAN EAU ROUGE Mature and from a smaller mould, beautifully balanced and good in profile. Masculine head and nice expression strong throughout with good angulation fore and aft, level topline held on the move, good feet. RBB

1: Hudson’s TECKELTOWN RAINDROPS What a lovely puppy! Is balanced and very well made has everything in the right place and a pleasure to go over. Beautiful head and expression good angles front and back with strong level topline. Moves out cleanly covering the ground with ease with lovely feet, nothing to dislike.

2: Paskin’s KINDEACE TEXAS RANGER

1: Herald’s MONTONE OUR LADY FAITH AT WINTERFIELD Stood alone but worthy of her place. Lovely feminine head and pleasing expression. Strong topline kept on the move with correct angles front and rear moves cleanly and with determination on good feet.
