Dachshund (Min Smooth Haired) Puppy (3,0 abs)

1st. Bell’s – Tolberg Jelly Tot. Stunning B/T girl of 11 months, she has a beautiful head, eye & expression, level topline, excellent fore & hindquarters & is well ribbed back. She was shown in gleaming condition & she is a sound & true mover. She fitted the standard totally being moderately long & low with no exaggeration. I just loved her, BPIB, BOB, Hound Group 3 & Puppy Hound Group 2.

2nd. Hudson’s – Teckeltown Raindrops. Shapely girl of 6 months, she has a pleasing head, excellent front, forehand & a super topline. She moved out well but was a little too leggy & top size for my preference.

3rd. Phillipson’s – Tolberg Tuttie Fruity TAF.

Dachshund (Min Smooth Haired) Post Graduate (3,1 abs)

1st. Mason’s – Teckeltown You’re The One JW. Pretty girl with a good forehand, excellent topline & quarters. She moved out well, but was carrying just a shade too much condition.

2nd. Cumberland’s – Mumysami Here We Go Again. Pleasing head & forehand, super topline & quarters. Nice outline which he held on the move.

Dachshund (Min Smooth Haired) Open (4,1 abs)

1st. Mason’s – Teckeltown Something Magic. Bigger boy with a super head & eye, pleasing forehand, topline & quarters & good underline. Moved out well.

2nd. Bell’s – Tolberg Liquorice Torpedo. Lovely type boy who has it all in the right place. Lovely head & eye, good forehand, he was a little loaded in shoulder & this made him appear a little stuffy in neck. Excellent topline & quarters, he moved soundly but I felt he could possibly do a little more on the move.

3rd. Cumberland’s – Mumysami Clicalicious for Yorami.

Dachshund (Min Long Haired) Puppy (1,0 abs)

1st. Bell’s – Tolberg Songbird. 10 month old baby with the most gorgeous head & expression. She has the darkest eye, good earset, crested neck into clean shoulder, good front & feet. Super topline into good quarters, she has a good underline & is well ribbed back. She moved fluidly around the ring, carrying herself with that typical Dachshund importance. BPIB & Hound Puppy group 3.

Dachshund (Min Long Haired) Post Graduate (1,0 abs)

1st. Bell’s – Tolberg La Di Da. Pretty B/T with a lovely eye & intelligent expression. She has a super forehand, excellent topline & quarters & is well ribbed back. Sound as a pound out & back, she moved soundly with style. BOB.

Dachshund (Min Long Haired) Open (2,0 abs)

1st. Bell’s – Tolberg Amber Alert. Pretty head, eye & expression. Pleasing forehand, excellent topline & quarters with good muscletone. Moved out well & was shown in good coat & conditioning.

2nd. Mason’s – Tolberg Beez Kneez at Teckeltown. Pretty girl with a good forehand & quarters. She has super bone & feet, is well ribbed back & moved soundly fore & aft. Just tended to lose her topline on the move.

Basenji Post Graduate (1,0 abs)

1st. Eliot’s – Orange Moon Mysterious Talisman (Imp Blr). 15 month R/W bitch with a pleasing head & a little wrinkle. Reachy neck into fair shoulder, adequate bone, I would prefer neater feet. Good topline, tailset & quarters. She moved out with a good stride but needs to tighten all round.

Basenji Open (2,1 abs)

1st. Casentieri’s – Adebank’s King Kole (Imp Rus). B/W boy who I judged recently & still like. He has a lovely outline, good head & expression but I would prefer a little more wrinkle. Super forehand, level topline, good underline, depth & ribbing. He moves freely with a good stride from his well-muscled hindquarters.

Saluki Puppy (1,0 abs)

1st. Peirson’s – Classicus Omarion. Very raw baby boy of 6½ months, he has a beautiful head & expression, super neck, shoulder, front & feet. Excellent quarters & good through the body, he is a little “bum high” at present but as he grows on this should correct. He is very wings & feathers as you would expect at this age, but he has that air of quality & his footfall is light & true. I was not surprised when I saw the catalogue as to where this promising young man has heralded from, just super, BPIB.

Saluki Open (2,1 abs)

1st. Bloomfield’s – Glenoak Laquan. Lovely head & eye, good topline & length of loin & very well-muscled quarters, he moved well in profile but was a little untidy coming towards me, shown in excellent condition, BOB.

Irish Wolfhound Open (1,0 abs)

1st. Tatlor’s – Amarillo Rose. Pleasing outline on this youngster, she has a kind dark eye, excellent neck, shoulder & topline, good depth of chest & well-muscled quarters. Moved well. BOB.

Deerhound Post Graduate (1,0 abs)

1st. Constantine’s – Cotherstone Serenade. Beautiful head, eye & expression on this 2½ year old madam. She has an excellent neck & shoulder, straight well boned front & good feet. Good depth of chest & correct underline, she is well ribbed back to strong loin & she carried her topline well. Her excellent quarters were well muscled & she used them to full advantage on the move. Reaching stride, she was true out & back & moved with grace. I thought she was lovely, her kennel mate pushed her hard, but for me she just had the edge. BOB, Hound Group 1 & I was delighted to hear she ended the day with RBIS under Rob Sansom.

Deerhound Open (1,0 abs)

1st. Constantine’s – Kaleginy Steelbrig. Another classy lady, she has a lovely dark eye which was full of mischief, excellent forehand, topline, body & quarters. Like her kennel mate she was shown in hard condition & her coat texture was good. She moved well & pushed hard for BOB.

AVNSC Hound Puppy (1,0 abs)

1st. Wood’s – Marada The Cheviot (Basset Hound). Tri boy of 11 months, he has a pleasing head & expression, excellent neck & shoulder, good front & feet, level topline, good underline & is well ribbed. His quarters were well made & well-muscled & he moved out purposefully, BP AVNSC Hound.

AVNSC Hound Post Graduate (1,0 abs)

1st. Revens & Hyde’s – Blevwil World Class at Beabass (BFdB). Pleasing head & expression with a mischievous eye, he is good through the neck & shoulder & he has good ribbing. He has an excellent topline, tailset & hindquarters & he moves freely in profile & powers from behind, just needs to be a little tidier in front.

AVNSC Hound Post Open (2,0 abs)

1st. Revens & Hyde’s – Naya Do Cal Da Paderna at Beabass(Imp Esp) (BFdB). Lovely outline on this young lady, she has a super head & expression from her kind dark eye. Excellent neck & shoulder into good front & feet. Excellent topline, quarters & ribbing. Crisp well cared for jacket, she moved soundly with drive. BAVNSC Hound.

2nd. Clark’s – Magida Sabiih Al Sahra at Thiefside (Imp) (Sloughi). Beautiful expression from dark eye, excellent forehand with good forechest, almost level topline with short loin. Well made & muscled hindquarters which allowed her to move effortlessly. Very close decision between 2 lovely girls.

Hound Group

1st. Cotherstone Serenade (Deerhound).

2nd. Johnston & Wilson’s – Aarminias Dragon Lord of Danluke (Whippet). Beautiful 6 month old baby boy with a superb head & expression. He is very good through the forehand, has a good depth of chest, lovely underline & scopey quarters. Even at this age he is all of a piece & he flows from nose to tail, superb on the go around & very neat in front, just needs to strengthen a little in hind action.

3rd. Tolberg Jelly Tot (Min SH Dach).

4th. Jones’ – Clairdale Evelyn (Beagle). Honest girl of 13 months, she has a lovely outline on the stack & she holds this well on the move too. Pretty head & mischievous expression, good forehand, level topline, good set on of stern & very well-muscled quarters. Sound out & back & moving with verve, a very nice girl.

1st. Aarminias Dragon Lord of Danluke (Whippet).

2nd. Tolberg Jelly Tot (Min SH Dach).

3rd. Tolberg Songbird (Min LH Dach).

4th. Marada The Cheviot (Basset Hound).

AV Hound Puppy (6,4 abs)

1st. Marada The Cheviot (Basset Hound).

2nd. Metcalfe’s - Aarminias Dance Like A Dafty (Whippet). Beautiful head with dark expressive eye, super neck & shoulder, straight well boned front, excellent topline & quarters. Moved well.

AV Hound Junior (5,3 abs)

1st. Hall’s – Msingi All About Me of Cynami (Rhodesian Ridgeback). Very dark girl with a pleasing head & eye, ok forehand with straight front & neat feet. Good through the body, she holds her topline well both stacked & on the move using her quarters well.

2nd. Bowers’ – Celtic Lore’s Golden Archer at Lyonglen (Imp USA) (Rhodesian Ridgeback). Pleasing head & eye, ok neck & shoulder, good bone & straight forelegs. Good topline, body & quarters, just needs to body up to fill his frame & tighten up all through.

AV Hound Post Graduate (5,2 abs)

1st. Scanlon’s – Kinabula’s All About The Bass (Rhodesian Ridgeback). Classy & typey girl with a super head, expression & keen eye. She has a super forehand, straight well boned front & good feet. She holds her topline well, is well ribbed & has a correct underline. Strong through the loin, her quarters a very well made & she has cracking muscletone. Sound as a pound out & back, with a good footfall in profile, I thought she was a very lovely girl.

2nd. Amarillo Rose (Irish Wolfhound).

3rd. Hall’s – Matsushona Fire Opal of Cynami (Rhodesian Ridgeback).

1st. Kinabula’s All About The Bass (Rhodesian Ridgeback).

AV Hound Veteran (5,1 abs)

1st. Cumberland’s – Whirlygig Wottatodoo at Mumysami (Dachshund Min Smooth Haired). Super little B/T girl of almost 8 years, she has a lovely eye & expression, super forehand, topline & quarters. She moved out soundly & with style & was shown in gleaming condition.

2nd. Johnston & Wilson’s – Danluke Luck Be A Lady (Whippet). Classy lady of just 7 years, she has a beautiful head shape & dark expressive eyes. Excellent neck into clean shoulder & straight well boned front & neat feet. Her topline is good & she has curvy quarters, which powered her around the ring.

3rd. Drady’s – Larkhund Russian Kween (Dachshund Min Long Haired).
