Judge Mrs Sandy Lipman (Lisvane)

Thank you to the committee for inviting me to judge the working group. I arrived early and enjoyed watching the other breeds, many of which were excellent representatives of their breed, and was pleased to see the BIS judge Mr Simon Luxmoore awarding BIS to the very smart & well put together Min WH Dachshund. Wales really has some of the best quality dogs.

Class 109 Newfoundland Open D or B (3/2) 1. Newtons Stelamah Quiang at Shlarra JW ShCM, 4 yr old gleaming black coated boy, having a pleasing head, short muzzle and neat ears set close. Kind dark eyes and alert expression set off by a powerful crested neck. Great strength throughout with straight bone and good broad chest, level topline, kept on the move, and muscular hindquarters. Powered around the ring in a smooth steady gait reflecting his correct conformation. BOB

Class 111 Rottweiler Open (3) 1. Jones Jeseve Love Rival to Welshmoor, a strapping 7 yr old dog with shape and movement that belies his age. Keen and alert in the greatest condition, having a full front and hard toned muscle throughout. Very pleasing to go over, his broad head having a correct bite and dark eyes, neat stop and wide nostrils. Nice lay of shoulder, ample depth and breadth of chest, good bone on straight legs with a well turned stifle and firm topline. He moved out with power generated by his strong hindquarters, producing a ground covering easy stride that would keep going all day. BOB BAV Veteran & WG2 2. Lewis & Greens Minaelea’s Astrild pretty 3 yr old bitch having a neat head, good ear set, dark eyes and correct head proportions. Filled front, sprung ribs, good bone and the tightest feet. Good slightly sloping topline giving a balanced picture in the stand while smooth and strong on the move. 3. Sweets St Lythans Ice on the Moon

Class 112 Bernese Mountain Dog Open dog or bitch (7/1) 1. Westlakes Jesterbrook Lovestruck 3 yr old bitch turned out in the best condition, her bright silky coat adding to her appearance. Super head framed by well-used ears, correct scissor bite and strong jaw. Good feathering on legs with a nicely furnished tail of good length. Lovely outline having a broad strong back and keeping her topline as she moved out well. BOB & WG3 2. Westlakes Roseaaurora Monlight for Jesterbrook 6 month old boy full of confidence for such a youngster. Plenty to come on this well put together lad having a smart head waiting to break, clear shiny hazel eyes and the whitest scissor bite. Tight feet and good length of tail covering the ground with energy. One to watch for sure BPIB &PG1 3.Williams Tinland Pink sapphire

Class 113 Siberian Huskey Graduate (1) 1. Morris Cwnhapus Innoko JW 15 month silver boy with the darkest eyes, nose and lips, complimented by the patterned fur on his head. Correct dentition and perky alert ears presenting a keen personality, his body light and elegant with an effortless gait. His coat throughout even and touchable, with darker shading accentuating his shoulder and loin. Neat feet, correct height and weight, his well furred tail reaching out behind as he appeared almost floating on the move BOB & WG1

Class 114 Siberian Huskey Open dog (1) 1.Stimpsons Cwnhapus Takhini litter brother to the previous class winner. Taller and stockier than his brother but with many similar attributes. Not as smooth on the move but having a good scissor bite and well used alert ears. Pleasing in the stand, just lacking the finish of his brother.

Class 115 Siberian Huskey Open bith (1) 1. Morris Arcticskies Ruby Tuesday for Cwnhapus a very pretty chocolate red 2 yr old bitch show in perfect condition. Having hazel eyes and the softest expression with beautiful hood markings accentuating her features. Balanced and feminine while retaining strength and muscle tone. Quite lovely from nose to tip of fox like tail, and moved smoothly.

Class 116 AVNSC Working Graduate (2) 1. Goodwins Supetas Perfect Rose a well grown 6 month rich brown Doberman bitch. Lovely length of foreface, which just needs to break, hazel eyes and correct mouth and ears set high. Filled front, deep chest, good bone and the tightest feet. Lovely topline and a great mover. BP & WPG2 2. Maddys Lady Red Dream. Pretty expression, dark eyes and good stop on this year old boxer bitch. Could have more forechest but lovely crested powerful neck, nicely laid shoulders and good rear angulation. Showy on the stand and moved well.

Class 117 AVNSC Working Open dog or bitch (2/1) 1. Popps Kenquartz Berryliscious of Penychen ShCM five year old fawn Bullmastiff boy with even underbite and neatly folded ears setting off his broad square head. Shiny hazel eyes and good stop, square foreface, short muzzle and wide nostrils. Strong muscular neck, deep and broad chest having pleasing lay of shoulders equally matched by his rear angulation. Broad straight tail tapering to his hock. A powerfully built boy who can move. BOB

Class 118 AV Working Puppy dog or bitch (4/2) 1. Sweets St Lythans Sweet Brian, at just 7 months this handsome confident Rottweiler pup presented himself very well. An interested expression on a smart head, held high by a strong neck. Good bone, body and angles. A super square outline on the stand and strode out on the move.
