Thank you to the committee for inviting me to judge Dalmatians at their well run show, to my stewards who kept things running smoothly and to all the exhibitors for bringing their beautiful dogs for me to judge.

Puppy 4/1

1st Richards’ Hafwenna Bonfire. 6 month old pretty puppy bitch with dense black spotting. Feminine head, dark eye, correct bite and soft expression. Good length of neck into well laid shoulders. Balanced outline with moderate angles and a level topline leading to a well set tail. Nice straight front down to tight feet. Moved well for a baby and shows promise.

2nd O’Conner’s Doodledally Nancy Drew Am Dalseren. 7 month old black spotted puppy bitch. Nice coat with eye catching decoration. Feminine head, dark eye and correct bite. Good length of neck. Tight feet. Moved ok. Preferred the topline and tailset of 1.

Graduate (8/3)

1st David & Saunders’ Dallydyl The Loving Spirit. 15 month old liver spotted Male with a masculine head, rich amber eye and correct bite. Good length of neck into well defined withers, level topline and good tailset and carriage. Lovely straight front down to tight feet. Well off for bone. Balanced angulation front and rear and presented in firm condition which gave him the tools to move effortlessly around the ring. RBOB

2nd Williams’ Tolkain Storm King From Phadante JW. 18 month old black spotted Male. Nice head with well placed and held ears, dark eye and correct bite. Fair length of neck into level topline and good tailset. Adequate angles front and rear. Needed more room to really get into his stride today so not as fluid as 1.

1st Edens’ Dalens Bethany Char. 3 year old pretty liver spotted bitch. Nice feminine head, good amber eye and correct bite. Good length of neck into well laid shoulders and level topline. Moderately angled front and rear, good depth of chest, nice straight front down to good feet. Moved steadily.

2nd Howard-Riddle’s Shydallys Annie Power. 5 year old pretty black spotted bitch. Nice head, dark eye and correct bite. Good length of neck into well laid shoulders leading to a level topline and good tailset. Well angled front and rear which gave her a lovely balanced outline. Well off for bone and a nice straight front sat on tight cat feet. Moved well. She was carrying a bit of extra weight due to a phantom which spoiled her underline today.

1st Edens’ Dalens A Spot Of Trouble JW ShCM. 3 year old substantial black spotted bitch but still retained her femininity. Nice head, dark eye and correct bite. Ears well placed and held to frame her face which gave her a soft expression. Lovely length and arch to neck, well defined wither, firm level topline and correct tailset. Moderately angled front and back which gives her a balanced outline. Good depth to her chest with a nice spring of rib. Well off for bone, lovely straight front that stood on tight feet and nice straight hocks. Presented in firm condition and in good coat. Her movement was effortless, long rhythmic strides with good reach and drive. BOB and pleased to hear she later went Group 1

2nd Thorner’s CH Tolutim Drambuie ShCM. 11 year old elegant black spotted bitch. Lovely head with a pretty spotty face, dark eye and correct bite. Well placed and held ears framed her alert expression. Good length of neck into well laid shoulders and level topline. Moderately angled front and rear with balanced feminine outline. Nice straight front and well toned throughout. Not as settled on the move as 1 today.
