Matlock & District Canine Society

Rhodesian Ridgebacks

Thank you to the Committee of Matlock & District Canine Society for inviting me to judge at their lovely Open Show in February 2020

I would also like to thank the exhibitors for braving the weather and bringing their lovely hounds under me, all of which had good ridges, temperaments and bites.

Puppy

1. Parson’s Priorpark Pinch of Salt, a lovely 11 month old feminine bitch, balanced really nicely throughout. Good angulation front and rear. Moved out well with good reach on nice feet, held good topline. Confident and happy in the ring.

2. Borodajko’s Tarrtoppin Vienna, another lovely 11 month old feminine bitch, super head onto good length of a nice clean neck. Nice front with good depth and length of body. Moved really well with a super outline

Junior

1. Parson’s Priorpark Pot Kettle Black, litter sister to puppy 1 with same qualities. An eye catching 11 month old bitch with good bone and angulation. All in proportion with a super profile and topline held well on the move, good reach.  Nice feet. She presented better in the line-up. BP. Pleased to see her go PG2

2. Seen Puppy 2

Post Graduate

1. Barnes’ Diamondridge Di Caprio, masculine 14 month old liver male, well developed with a super profile. Nice depth and length of body, strong neck and great angulation front and rear. Moved well with power, covering the ground with ease, once he had steadied himself. RBOB

2. Hemstock & Sanjesh’ Patemeliann Wicked Lady Jolihem, a nearly 2yr old pretty bitch with lots going for her. Super head and nice moderate angulation front and rear, well balanced throughout. Good on the move, holding a nice topline, close call for 1st but preferred the profile of 1

Open

1. Ashman’s Patemeliann Red Tarka At Kitaarka JW, a nearly 2 year old handsome male with a fantastic head onto a strong yet elegant neck. Everything in proportion with lovely profile,  he moved out easily with good reach and balance, holding a good topline, tail held just a tad high on the move. BOB

2. Deacon & Wilding’s Ch Kiromol Kindred Spirit Sh.CM, a substantial and powerful looking male, well developed with good bone and muscle. Lovely length and depth of body, nice angulation. Easy mover and striking male,  just preferred head and eye of 1st
