Judge – Louise Harrison (Lourisma)

Many thanks to the committee for inviting me to judge at this well-run popular show. I had a very enjoyable day judging some good quality dogs. Thank you to my steward for keeping everything in order and finally thank you to the exhibitors who entered their dogs.

Puppy (1)

1. Fawcett’s ANNILANN MISTER DICKENS Stood alone in his class but a very worthy winner. This puppy is really starting to come together and is maturing well. Pleasing head and expression, well defined stop, square muzzle, good return of upper arm, good width and depth of chest, well ribbed, short coupled. Lovely to watch him move so freely around the ring, could watch him all day, very confident happy puppy. BP. Sadly his owner was unable to stay for the group.

Junior (1)

1. Fajardo’s GLOWHILL SPICKS AND SPECKS AT SAN MATAYO Top quality blue dog with lots to like. Lovely profile would just prefer a touch more width to him and a more well-developed chest, but he has time on his side. Thickly padded feet. Good reach of neck and fine sloping shoulders. His well angulated hindquarters drove him around the ring.

Post Graduate (9)

1. Young’s CANYONN COULD IT BE MAGIC Loved everything about this black bitch, she is so well balanced from any angle. Feminine head and expression, well defined stop, good width of skull, well set ears, good reach of neck into fine sloping shoulders, good return of upper arm, good width and depth of chest, straight front, well ribbed and short coupled, good width of hindquarters and well let down hocks. Moved with drive from her well angulated hindquarters. Should have a very promising future. Delighted to award her BOB.

2. Fawcett’s HELENWOOD COOL BREEZE Masculine head and expression, straight front, well boned legs, good width of chest, well ribbed and short coupled, moved well.

3. Maris-Bray’s HELENWOOD ILLUSION JW

Open (5)

1. McShane’s OBSIDIAN SPRING MARVEL This masculine black dog took my eye as soon as he entered the ring, very happy outgoing temperament. Lovely head and expression, square muzzle, tight dark eye, good reach of neck and lay of shoulder, good return of upper arm, well developed chest, well angulated hindquarters, best mover of this class RBOB.

2. Maris-Bray’s HELENWOOD ISLANDER Lots to like about this 3 year old golden dog. Legs well boned, good reach of neck and lay of shoulder, ribs well sprung, good bend of stifle, good coat and condition.

3. Fawcett’s JAYZANDER LETS TAN AGAIN
