 BORZOI    Thank you to the officers and committee of Lichfield Canine Society for inviting me to judge Borzoi, also thanks to my two stewards. 

J D/B. (2,1) 1. Dawson’s Metel Avgusta Ala Azul At Stubbylee (Imp). Feminine self black bitch, refined head, beautiful dark eyes, and neat high set ears, correct topline and fallaway, light and free flowing movement.  Overall well balanced for her age. RBOB  

PG D/B (2,2). 1.  Dawson's Metel Avgusta Ala Azul At Stubbylee (Imp). 2. Raczka’s Jamarqui Alchemy Argent. Attractive fawn and white male of good substance for age. Lovely head with visible veining, and dark pigment. Good front and depth of brisket. Super silky coat without being overdone. Not the consistency of movement of 1, rather tense today and this caused him to tuck up his hind quarters, tending to crab when moving. 

O D/B 1. Dawson’s Steppdance Pintel at Stubbylee (Imp). 2 yr old red sable dog of quality. Masculine head of good proportions, decent length of neck set well into the shoulder, graceful topline and long fallaway. Great depth of brisket. Best movement of the day, absolutely straight, powerful and effortless.  Pleased to award him BOB. 2. Smith’s Ryazan Joshua. 5 yr old red and white substantial male I have always admired from the ringside. Strong head with a good depth of underjaw. Decent shoulder, a little flat in topline now. Movement steady though pinning in on the LF, would benefit from a larger ring to flow into his stride and extend his reach forward.
