Border Collies

Many thanks to the Society for the invitation, to the Southern Border Collie Club for supporting the classes and to the exhibitors for such a wonderful entry.

P (7) Lovely class full of quality pups. 1, Moshanta May Contain Nuts JW, impressive 11 month old b/w of immense promise; clean well balanced head with well shaped dark eye, very good shoulder and return with plenty of fill for his age, ample substance, good body proportions and topline, well ribbed up, on the move he is clean out and back with light free stride in profile and correct head carriage; striking ring presence and a ‘look at me’ attitude. BP & BOB, delighted to see him take G2 and PG1. 2, Tambuzi Over the Top, b/w bitch also 11 months, really nice head and expression with plenty of underjaw, dark eye and well-placed ears, good front assembly, matching rear angles, moving very well all round, not as forward as 1 but a quality puppy; 3, Jupavia Midnyte Dreams at Elystari.

Y (0)

PG (5, 1 abs) 1, Vitalia Chapter and Verse, nearly 3yo b/w with a very pleasing outline, good proportions and feminine outlook, very typy head, good topline, strong rear. Profile movement good with correct head and tail carriage but rather loose in front; 2, Falconmoor Love Me Do, 2yo tri bitch, more substantial than 1, well-balanced head, good shoulder, kept topline well, again somewhat untidy in front; 3, Sunnydean Chasing Rainbows.

O (8) 1, RBOB, Story Rex Irreplaceable (Imp It), 6yo classy mature b/w bitch with a lovely head, good underjaw and flat skull, dark eye, excellent front assembly, well balanced outline and moved very well in all directions with breed typical gait and head carriage. 2, Locheil Secret Surprise at Elystari, 2yo b/w male, pleasing masculine head, well-balanced angulation, good topline and strong rear, moved very well, just looks a bit of a teenager still; 3, Birkcross Gracie at Lefevre, I really liked this very typy and balanced feminine bitch but alas she was not happy in the wind and insisted on tucking herself up.
