Cocker Spaniels

A lovely class of very promising pups at differing stages of maturity

1st Gladman’s Chativore Just William: Mature 11.5 month old steel blue dog, up to size. Loved his masculinity from top to toe, he oozed power. Cracking head, correct bite, front assembly’s angles just right leading to a deep chest. Moved with purpose and drive showing his exuberant personality off to advantage. In my notes I have “What a bum!” deep and well rounded. Loved him and I’m sure has a great future. BP

2nd Gilmour’s Chavez Royal Saffron: 8 month very feminine gold baby. Gently sloping neck leading to a fabulous lay back of shoulder and well angulated upper arm and return. She didn’t like the ground today but could see enough of a naughty personality to gauge her movement. A hair splitting decision between her and 3rd, that melting expression and preferred her neck and shoulder just swung it. A class of 3 promising puppies.

3rd Fawcett’s Annilan Mr Dickens

Junior D/B 1

1st Buchan’s Razzle Dazzle at Rocky Point: Dark blue 14.5 month bitch. Lovely well proportioned

head. Tight, well filled dark eyes, correct bite. Would have preferred more depth of body. Moved a bit close behind today.

SYD/B 2

1st Buchan’s Razzle Dazzle at Rocky Point

2nd Wilanorah Daquiri: Blue bitch of different type to 1st. Shorter coupled but narrower throughout. Moved too close behind for me on the day.

Post Graduate D/B 4

1st Marris Bray’s Helenwood Illusion: Quality throughout this gorgeous black bitch. A lot of cocker in her cobby, short coupled body. Feminine throughout with a beautiful head and melting well filled eye and expression that stole my heart. Correct angulation throughout front and rear. This girl was not overdone no artifice or illusion needed here. Movement did not disappoint covering the ground with a purpose that implied “I have a mission!”, keeping her topline level and tail ever wagging. A pleasure to go over and make my hands tingle. BOB

2nd Gilmour’s Chavez Over the Moon: Quality Blue Roan bitch in full coat that caught my attention as soon as she entered the ring. Beautiful head, neck and shoulder. Feminine, well ribbed and deep chest. Great bone and substance, covered the ground well with her bustling action. Preferred the movement of 1. RBOB

3rd Brothwell’s Wilanorah Soul Sister At Wissant

Limit D/B 1

1st Wilanorah Candy Pop at Wissant: Dark blue bitch, lovely reach of neck and beautiful tight feet . Short coupled, would have preferred more body. Moved well.

Open D/B 1

1st Fawcett’s Jayzander Lets Tan Again: Br/tan 7 year old boy in tip top condition. Strong head and correct, deep chest and brisket. Great bone and lovely tight feet. Short coupled and well bent stifles leading to beautiful straight hocks. Moved out with great driving action, a very happy boy, loving life. Pushed hard for RBOB.
