The Home Counties American Cocker Breed 40th Ruby Anniversary show held back to back shows with both Championship & Open Show held. Many thanks to the society for the kind invitation to judge the Myra Kimber Memorial Sweepstake Classes.

Minor Puppy Dog/Bitch (6,1abs):

A super class of puppies to judge

1st Price & Kirkham’s JACLEE WHEN CALLS THE HEART – 6mth old c/w bitch who took my attention on entering the ring. The sweetest of heads, excellent work in her head and melting expression with correct eye shape. Lovely clean neck into well proportioned front. Neat legs and stood on good bone. Lovely spring of ribbing beginning to develop. Short well coupled body. Excellent well-rounded rear angulation and turn of stifle. Adequate muscle tone. Presented in super coat & condition. Moved soundly and with rear drive around the ring, holding her topline well. Should have a bright future.

2nd Kirkham & Ayto TRULY MINE POETRY N MOTION an 8mth old buff dog and lots to like about him. A super masculine head full of quality with dark eyes and correct ear set. Clean flowing neck into well-proportioned front. Good depth of chest. Nice bone. Well-developed body with a good spring of ribs. Correct muscular & short couplings, with a sloping topline into well-muscled hindquarters. Moving soundly with correct action. Turned out in top coat & condition.

3rd Cook & Hickie JACLEE WE WILL ROCK YOU

Puppy Dog/Bitch (4,2):

1st Murray’s JACLEE DREAM THE IMPOSSIBLE – 9mth old B/T dog, great masculinity to his head and correct eye colouring. Lovely chiselling below the eyes. Clean neck leading into a well-placed shoulder. Good depth of chest, which many.in the breed are sadly lacking. Good strong front with correct bone and feet. Well-developed body for his age and a firm sloping topline. Correct tailset. Correctly proportioned rear and decent width of thigh. Moving with drive soundly. Turned out in excellent coat & condition.

2nd Clay’s TRICAJON MISS DIOR OF CUTIEPOOCH – 11mth old parti colour bitch who was giving her patient handler a very hard time today! A kind expression her head needs more work and plushing below the eyes. Decent neck into a well-placed shoulder. Stood on decent bone and straight front. Sloping topline into moderately angulated rear. Would benefit from more muscle tone to strengthen her up behind. Turned out in nice coat. Moving soundly.

Junior Dog/Bitch (3):

1st Murray’s ZEFIR OT CHICARNOJ KOMPANII (Imp BLR) A 16mth old buff dog who really appealed for overall type and balance. A lovely outline on the stack. Plenty of depth of chest and heart room as they should be. Straight front, good bone and feet. Lovely spring of ribs and short coupled loin. Well let down quarters with good muscle tone. Firm sloping topline which he held beautifully on the move. Moving with drive and purpose around the ring. Turned out in the best of coats.

2nd Hume’s ECCLESIASTES COPPELIA 15mth old B/T bitch with feminine head and soft expression. Decent clean neck and correct shoulder placement. Lacking in forechest. Straight front.
