Bon Accord Kennel Association 4.1.2020 

I would like to thank Kayleigh and the Committee for the honour of being invited to judge at this super well organised show. It was long drive, but you can’t beat the scenery. Thank you for looking after me so well and providing my stewards which made my job so much easier and finally, thank you to the exhibitors for their lovely entry. 

Best In Show 

My BIS caught my eye the moment he entered the ring with effortless flowing movement. Alcorn, Stafford & Claytons GWENDARIFFS RED LIGHT SHOW FARNFIELD Irish Setter. A masculine head with good parallel planes, dark eye with soft expression. Overall superb balance giving an air of elegance and dignity. A well-presented coat covered a nicely constructed toned body suitable for his job. It was my pleasure to go over him. 

RBIS: Christie’s TANNAHILL BERGEN AT DECALLEIGH. Dachshund (Wire-Haired) Again another boy with that presence of the big ring about him. Superb movement and strength of body, together with a lovely bright expression, handled to perfection. 

I had 7 super dogs in my final line up. They include Sellars’ MYBEARDS HYLOS Polish lowland, Todd’s HOLYHELL’S HARY’S BOY FOR TOFFARBACH (Imp SERBIA) JW Dobermann, Mackay’s LOCHEIL DIZZY RASCAL Jack Russell Terrier, Webster’s LOUISTON LEGALLY BLONDS SHCM Eurasier, Mandelson’s MARIDOVA VICTORIAS DREAM IN HORUKAI (IKC) JW ShCM RL.Ex2 Papillon.  

Best Puppy In Show: Kings, BERNERSHAW IT MUST BE LOVE. Bernese Mountain Dog. I’ve always had a soft spot for this breed. I liked the attitude of this young boy. He has good substance and put together nicely. I will follow his progress with interest. 

RBPIS: Thompsons RAKEFOOT CHARAZARD Basset Hound. A lovely bitch with good substance and bone. Super attitude.  Moved Very Well. 

Best Veteran: Forbes’ WELLNEUK DANCING WATERS JW ShCM Vw. Shetland Sheepdog. A very pretty little lady, who was turned out in top condition. Excelled in movement. A credit to you. 

RBV: Websters LOUISTON LEGALLY BLONDE SHCM. Eurasier. A lovely bitch in full coat and super type. Her movement couldn’t be faulted. 

A.V. Vintage (10+ Yrs) (8,3) 

1st. Best-Rawlings’ Ch.Ir.CH.TRIXWOOD ADDICTED TO LOVE. VW, IR VET,CH. CVW19. Jap Shiba Inu. This 10 yr old bitch was shone for her age. Lovely dark eye obliquely set. Clean mouth. Feminine head with short cobby body, well-muscled and good bone. Good coat of correct texture. Straight coming and going. Moved very well. 

2nd. Richie’s CHEOLVIEW FAITHFUL. Lhasa Apso. 10 yr old B&W girl. Lovely head of good proportion with dark eye and good pigment. Nice well ribbed body, lovely top line and tail set good. In super coat well presented.

A.V Toy NSC Open (7,3) 

1st. Doran’s LIMARTINE REDDY N’WILLING. Aust Silky Terr. 1 yr old male. Head of good proportions, Small dark oval eye, bright and alert expression. Clean bite, ears small & high set. Well laid shoulders, well sprung rib and level top line. Tail correctly set and carried up and happy. In good coat, moved well. BAVNSC 

2nd. Farriers’ RANGIMARA LUCY LOCKET. Affenpinscher 2yr old bitch. Lovely head, good stop, dark eye, super ear set. Typical monkey expression. Straight in front, nice cobby body, top line could be stronger. Moved ok.

GRP 1: Mandelson’s MARIDOVA VICTORIAS DREAM IN HONRUKAI (IKC) JW ShCM RL. Ex2. Papillon. Gorgeous little tricolour show girl. Very pretty head with dark expressive eyes and clean mouth. Ears well-furnished and very mobile. In super all-round condition, nicely muscled body and super coat. Moved with confidence and attitude.

A.V Toy Puppy (6,2) 

1st. Taylor’s PAMHURST CAPRICCIO. Papillon. Red & White D 8 mths old. Lovely head with dark eye and good bite. Well set ears with plenty of feathering for his age which he used well. Well-laid shoulder, straight in front. Nice little body maturing well. Good rear angulation moved beautifully fore and aft. Proper t-pot tail well set and enough coat for age. 

2nd. Mathieson’s POMANDENMORE PANDORA. Pretty 9 mth Orange girl. Dark eye good pigmentation and a clean bite. Nice body and in good coat. Need to straighten out back end as has tendency to crab. 

A.V Toy Special Yearling(8,3) 

1st. Berwick’s HIGHLANDCHI AOS STAR GAZER JW. S/C Chi. Nice little girl not quite 2yrs. Pretty feminine head with correct apple dome and of good proportions. Good dark eye and clean bite. Ears of correct flame shape set well. Nice little body well sprung rib. High set tail carried well and with a level top line held on the move. Moved true and confidently. 

2nd. Rawlings’ WOLLSTEINER THE BLACK DEMON. Pom girl 14mths old. Sweet expression with dark small eye. Good bite and small ears set correctly and used well.  Small bitch nicely put together, short in back, sporting a good coat and plumb. Moved well. 

A.V Toy Open (7,2)

2nd. Slacks KINVAAR JUMPING JACK FLASH AT EVERSBABES. Ckcs 2 ½ yr old Blenheim. Super expression. Flat skull and correct stop. Round dark eye and correct bite. Nice width to muzzle. Body nicely put together with good spring of rib. Good top line. Lovely coat, presented well. I would have liked to have seen stronger movement. 

A.V Toy Special Veteran (6,3) 

1st. Ferrier’s INGERDORM AFFENLICIOUS FOR RANGIMARIA. Affen. 7yr old bitch Good head shape with nice stop and turn up of jaw. Correct mouth. Nice neat ears. Good width to chest, short cobby body with correct angulation in the rear. Moved well. 

2nd. Black & Howie’s BELLDINLA MYSTIC DELIGHT AT CHINZAES. s/c Chi. 7 ½ yr old bitch. A little flat in skull but dark round eye and good ears. Nice balance to her body with good spring of rib. Tail set high and carried correctly. Moved well. 

Working Group 

Bernese Mountain Dog Open (5,0) 

1st. King’s ELNSIDE THE GRANDMASTER ShCm. 4 yr old dog, masculine and of lovely substance and balance. Head broad, skull flat, with correct stop. Dark almond eye. Good clean bite. Strong neck. Good lay of shoulders and depth of chest. Front straight with plenty of bone. Well ribbed and a strong broad loin. Good angulation on rear. Maintained a level top line whilst moving with drive. BOB & GRP3 

2nd. King’s BERNERSHAW IT MUST BE LOVE. A 10mth old boy developing nicely for his age. Broad flat skull with correct stop. Dark eye giving lovely expression. Good strong jaw with correct bite. Ears set- high. Well laid shoulders, broad deep chest correct for age. Straight in front. Plenty of body well coupled together, strong in back and held his top line well for a youngster. Good angulation behind with nice strong hocks. Moved straight going and coming. A super Puppy. BP, PG1 & BPIS . 

Boxer Open (7,3) 

1st. Thomson’s BUGARIVO PERDONAMI. 2 ½ yr old bitch, very feminine head. Correct eye, dark and good pigmentation. Good proportion muzzle to skull and correct stop. Correct mouth with good width and strength of jaw. Ears set high nice and neat. Elegant neck on to well-placed shoulder, with enough depth of chest. Front legs parallel of good bone. Good body and adequate strength to loin. Tail set high and carried well. Would have preferred better muscle in rear and second thigh. Angulation good. Moved straight behind.BOB 

2nd. Thomson’s BUGARIVO MAILALINO. 19 mth old bitch. Nice head, Dark eye giving nice expression. Good stop, correct mouth. Nice width to muzzle with wide nostrils. This youngster had a nice body shape and balance overall, and a coat of good condition. Tail set and rear angulation correct but again needs strength and muscle behind. 

Dobermann Open (7,2) 

1st. Todd’s HOLYHELL’S SERBIAN NIGHT FEVER AT TOFFARBACH (IMP SERB) JW. 2yr old male. Lovely overall balance to this dog, definitely masculine in build and stance. Clean head with dark almond eye. Flat skull, good parallel planes. Clean bite with tight lips and good pigmentation. Ears set high and alert. Neck set on to good broad withers. Shoulders well laid and a good depth of chest, Front straight with good bone and tight arched feet. Well sprung rib and strong in loin. Good tuck up and good angulation in rear, well-muscled. His movement just flowed. BOB & GRP1 

2nd.Lyon’s NEWFORDS X-RATED. 2 yr boy with a masculine head of good length and shape. Dark almond eye. Clean mouth. Overall body of good depth and bone. I would have preferred a little more angulation and muscle on rear end. Needs more drive. 

Rottweiller Post Grad. (2,1) 

1st. Bunton’s JACRAILA VALDEMAR. 15mth old dog with good proportion to head. Dark almond eye, broad skull with neat ears set high and wide. Good width to square muzzle with clean bite. Strong neck set on well laid shoulders. Good depth to chest and straight front of sufficient bone. Well bodied and strong in loin. Rear of correct angulation, nicely muscled. Lovely rich colour and condition on coat. Held level top-line and moved with purpose. BOB. 

Open (2,1) 

1st. Thomson’s TIKARAM VERONICA. 3 ½ yr old bitch. Super broad head, square muzzle yet feminine in expression. Eye dark, ears well set and clean mouth. Good strong neck. Broad chest and good depth to body. Carrying a little weight but well-muscled behind with good angulation. 

St.Bernard Open (2,2) 

1st. Jenkins’s BULABOS LORD SNOOTY AT ISLAMORADA. 3yr old male. Gorgeous depth to muzzle, short and square at jaw with clean bite. Defined stop. Dark eye and broad skull. Strong neck. Good width at withers with well laid shoulders. Broad deep chest and straight in front of strong bone. Tidy arched feet. Body nicely balanced, broad across the back with strong loin. Moderate rear angulation would like to see more muscle. BOB 

2nd. Jenkins’s BULABOS REBEL REBEL AT ISLAMORADA. 8mth dog puppy with broad head of good proportion, dark eye and good width of muzzle with clean bite. Lovely width to withers and shoulders well placed. Chest and body coming on nicely holding a good balance in growth. Moderate angulation, moved well for his age. BP.& P.GRP2 

Newfoundland Open (2,2) 

1st. Wagner,Henning & Wagner’s VIVALDIBEARS DIPLOMAT. 4yr old male with a super head of good proportion with ears well set back. Small dark eye giving soft expression. Short square muzzle and clean bite. Perfect pigmentation. Strong neck set on well laid shoulders Front straight and of good bone , elbows nicely tucked in. Deep in chest and body well ribbed and broad strong loin. Correct rear angulation with nice muscle tone. Overall, well balanced, held level top-line and moved beautifully. BOB. & GRP2 

2nd. McConnachie’s SMOOTH POWER WINTER SOUL (IMP POL) (AW2). 13mth junior dog in his growing stages. Head maturing nicely, dark eye, clean bite and good pigmentation. Shoulders well placed, front straight, body needs to catch up with his growing spurt. Held level top-line, coat looking good.  

A.V. Working NSC Open (8,3) 

1st. MacDougall’s MEDVEBERGI MASZKOS HAJNAL NANDOBUXA IN PRIDEOFELSA ShCM RL.Ex2 (IMP HUN) Leonberger Bitch nearly 7 yrs old. A lovely balance to this girl. Feminine head of equal proportions. Clean dark eye giving gentle expression. Good bite and width to Jaw. Elegant neck set on well laid shoulders. Good depth to chest and straight in front, elbows nicely tucked in. Well bodied with broad strong loin. Correct angulation behind with muscle and strong straight hocks. Held top line whilst moving, true coming and going. Looking a bit out of coat, but nothing to hide.

2nd. O’Donnell’s KALASLANE REVENGE FOR NEUKIEBEAR Russian Black Terrier. Nr 2 yrs and this bitch is maturing nicely. Her head is coming along, Good parallel planes and flat broad skull. Eyes Dark and defined brows. Clean bite. Ears, medium and high set on head. Long neck flowed on to level top line with high tail set. Well laid shoulders and straight in front. Body good for age. Correct angulation and muscle developed. Nice straight hocks. Moved beautifully.

2nd.McIntosh’s KEIRKANE AOS PHENOMENON. Great Dane (AV4) this 14mths fawn dog is maturing nicely. A masculine head, broad skull, ears set on high. Dark eye, chiselled face. Good length of muzzle, broad and deep with a dark mask. Clean bite and good pigmentation. Length of neck giving elegant outline. Well laid shoulder and chest developing well. Straight in front with neat arched toes. Good bone. Correct angulation, and strong straight hocks. Moved well.

1st. Coutts’ CAADAK DUNNIE WASSEL ShCM. Dobermann. This boy was 7yrs today. Masculine head of good length. Flat skull and ears well set. Eye dark of correct shape. Strong neck leading to broad withers. Well laid shoulders and good depth of chest. Correct bone and body strength. Enough angulation, and straight in hocks. Held his shape well on the move. 

2nd. Thomson’s MARBELTON DANCE WITH ME AT KIRANJON. Boxer. 7yr dog . Head good, broad skull and square broad muzzle, good stop and dark eye. Correct mouth. Deep chest, straight front and body of good substance. I would have liked better condition on his coat. Moved ok.
