EAST KENT CANINE SOCIETY 2ND FEBRUARY 2020

BULLDOGS

Thank you for a good numerical and strong quality entry and your sporting attitude where temperaments were absolutely first-class and movement on the whole was sound.

PUPPY (4)

1. BLENHIEMSTAR STAR LORD. A raw but quality baby at his first show. Just six months, brimming full of promise and quality. His head needs to develop obviously but has lots to like at this stage and his expression is keen and sour. He has a clean dark eye and good dentition and underjaw. I loved his well-laid shoulders and excellent top-line. He showed great freedom of movement and was accurate coming and going. He’s a good future prospect and was BPIB.

2. RYJARLOW STRUT MY STUFF AT SHOTTLE. Here was another good one, close up to the winner. I like the head shape and eye and brisket. Just not so together in front as the winner on the stack, he moved with precision and some style.

3. BLENHIEMSTAR SHAMROCK AT BRITISHSTYLE.

JUNIOR (5)

1. STELLASVILLE PRECIOUS OPAL. She is an ultra-feminine youngster with lots to like. She scored for me in expression, under-jaw, excellent shoulders, correct top-line and soundness of action. She just needs to keep her head up on the move to make the most of her-self. She was close up to top honours today and pushed the BOB hard. I think that she will have a promising career and was pleased to award her Res BOB in good company.

2. MAGHULLPAWS LOST IN LOVE. A solidly made youngster who was close-up in this class. On immediate inspection he fits the standard very well but was showing his teeth quite obviously today. He has excellent strong and well-boned forequarters, the correct slightly rising top-line and he moved precisely and covered the ground well. Handled to maximise his positives, he’s another who should do well.

3. BLENHIEMSTAR THE LAST DROP

POST GRADUATE (4,2)

1. HILLPACE PRETTY LASS AT SHOTTLE. A small package here and I would prefer a touch more of her all round.  She has a good mouth and jaws, excellent ears and is compactly built and balanced throughout. She won this class on the move.

2. ODINSCHILD VIOLET WARRIOR OF JRAYGON. Here was a totally different type, and I would prefer a touch less of him all through, so this class was a case of compromise. All-male, and in hard, well-muscled condition, he presents a good-top-line but was just a touch un-coordinated on the move today.

OPEN (6,1)

1. NOBOZZ NICE ONE FOR EDSTRONG. The best mover of the day by far headed a class of very different types. I liked this winner for balance and top-line as well as her correctly made front assembly and well-laid shoulders. To be hyper-critical, I would prefer just a fraction more depth to her fore-chest but she is ultra-feminine and compactly built with good rear quarters. In excellent overall hard condition I was pleased to award her BOB.

2. BAALZEBULL CONSTANCE FOR GEENAWELL. Close-up but of a totally different type was another female with lots to like. Taller and a touch less feminine, she has good depth, excellent bone and a good rising top-line. Today I felt that she just didn’t put it all in on the move but I am sure will have a good future.

3. ANGELCLAN DIVINE AT STELLASVILLE.
