Humberside Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club

Special Awards Classes Humberside Cavalier King Charles Cavalier Club

Thank you to the friendly Humberside committee for my invitation to judge their special awards classes. Having previously been a member of the committee I understand how special Jean & John Grant were to the creation of the club. I was delighted with the support the members gave me as an up and coming judge and the quality of the dogs delighted me and many beautiful dogs left the ring without an award.

What a great way to start the day I was spoilt for choice! Class A Special Award Puppy Dog or Bitch

1st Claydon’s: Brymarden Touch and Go – what a lovely sweet natured Blenheim bouncy puppy with that hint of cheekiness, I had to stop myself from giving her a kiss. Flat skull, dark eyes giving a gentle expressionwith symmetrical markings, lovely to see a real balanced outline with plenty of neck and that stood out in the class today. Immaculately presented true silky coat that was well broken, short coupled with good turn of stifle and just the right amount of bone for her size. It was on the move that she stole the class, true sound movement and lovely rear action , keeping her toplineon the move. For a youngster she really has it all. I will watch her career with interest! 2nd Browns PeakdownsKaitlan had many litter mates in the class with her today, but for me on the day this girl stood out a really sweet expression here with lovely dark eyes, I liked her outline and she had the neck to give her elegance in profile and on the move, I liked her shape and make &she moved positively. 3rd Taylors: Peakdowns Rosa. He has good bone and a soft and silky well broken coat and moves well. Along with other boys in the class his tail was proud today but his quality couldn’t be denied. 2ndInglis’s Craigowl Copacabana such a lot to like here. A really beautiful head shape with a plenty of fill under the eyes, darkest pigment and lovely dark eyes, nice short coupled body with a great spring of rib. Lots of long silky well broken coat.
