Merseyside Gundog Club

I would like to thank Merseyside Gundog Club for Inviting me to judge, and my steward who help ran the ring so smoothly even though he was losing his voice. Also, a big thank you to all the exhibitors for taking the time to giving me such a lovely entry.

Italian Spinone

PD/B. (2,2) … 1st ILSOLO FIORELLO 7-month-old O/R bitch. A lovely well put together girl who’s tail never stop. Square in outline with a beautiful feminine head and soft gentle expression, nice short neck leading to well-placed shoulders. Good depth of chest with tightly placed elbows. Thick skin covered with a course coat and well-set tail. Good oval bone and tight feet. For being so young movement was positive and kept her topline. (RBOB & BP)

2nd. CONNOMAR ROBIOLA 6-month-old B/R bitch. Of the correct colour. This girl was really enjoying her outing. She made me smile the entire time. Lovely feminine head and expression. Oodles of forechest for a young puppy. Thick course coat with good depth of chest. Good bone and feet. Not the movement of 1st as she preferred 2 feet on the ground.

JD/B, (2,2) … 1st AFFILATO LOVE ME TENDER, 16-month-old w/o bitch. Well balanced and square in outline. Mature for her age with a feminine head and Soft expression and lovely eyes. Excellent head planes and the depth of muzzle. Strong short neck onto well placed shoulders. Nice angulation front and rear., correct thick skin with course coat. Lovely deep chest and well sprung ribs. well-muscled with positive movement whilst keeping her topline , (BOB)

2nd. LAJATICO AIDA, 14-month-old B/R bitch. . Another girl who is well-balanced with a feminine head and soft expression. Good head planes and depth of muzzle. well-muscled with the correct thickness of skin. Well sprung ribs with plenty of forechest. Good coat textured and plenty of bone. I find her too dark in colour. Not the movement of 1st

PGD/B (1,1) … 1st LAJATICO AIDA. ... Repeat

OD/B (3,1) … 1st TESTAVERDE BACK FOR GOOD AT PARADECO.. 2-year-old B/R dog. A balanced well boned male with a lovely expression. Good oval bone and head planes. Longer in the neck than I would have liked. Divergent planes and the depth of muzzle. Good depth of chest, well sprung ribs with thick skin. Well-muscled with good front and rear angulation. I found him very close on the rear and this showed also in his movement. Excellent coat texture. Another B/R I found too dark in colour

2nd … AURELIA THE EXPLORER OF KRISMOOR JW 4-year-old W/O bitch. Square outline with a pleasing feminine head and soft expression. Good divergent head planes with depth of muzzle and nicely sprung ribs with thick skin and course coat. This girl was not at her best, the floor and the noise of the hall seemed to have unsettle her, affecting her movement and overall performance , which was a shame.
