Thank you to all involved in running this enjoyable show particularly in the light of all the weather uncertainties – whilst there were some absentees there were certainly fewer than I expected so thank you all for making the effort. Thanks also to my hard working stewards who certainly had a marathon stint !

So well balanced , with a feminine head and expression , strong slightly arched neck flows into a well developed body, correct angulation front & back , good topline , she really came into her own on the move and commanded attention. Post Grad (3,1)
Family outing here with 2 from the same litter at 8 mths they all have a lot of maturing to do. Both girls here both had lovely temperaments , feminine heads with nicely shaped eyes. Body development coming a long, both had good bone . Very close, 1 was a slightly longer in back but had the better shoulder angulation. I am sure they will change places many times

2. Sarson’s Sarnia Rock this Way – litter brother to the girls in the last class & I hope I’m not being sexist when I day he was being a typical young boy! Liked his out line & presence, very masculine with an appealing expression, well made body, in lovely coat & condition for age, If he had decided to concentrate & not play the fool he could have pushed 1 a lot harder .

Feminine wall balanced head, correct length of neck, well laid shoulder with front firm at elbow, good topline & tail set, well angulated quarters , very pleasing mover with excellent drive, good coat of correct texture. Post Grad (2,1)
1. Smith’s Snowshoes Belle of the Ball – very neat Junior bitch that has much to admire, correct size with lovely bone, pleasing head & expression with a lovely eye & pigment, well angulated fore & aft , neat accurate movement. Coat at the in-between stage having had her puppy moult & not yet in her spring finest.
Open (1,0)
1. Smith’s Kessaku Va Va Voom at Snowshoes- only 4 months older than her kennelmate but that time has given her the maturity & coat her friend still needs. Sufficient shoulder angulation , good topline, with correct length of rib , good quarters, moved OK but not quite the drive of the post grad, however her more forward development gave her the nod for BOB today.
French Bulldog
Special Yearling (4,2)
1. Post Grad (2,0)
1. Wood’s Penbro the Duchess BOB Gp1
2. Wood’s Penbro Tamodan Only Girl – oh I am a sucker for a veteran! What a sweetie , hard to believe it she’s very nearly 10 years , in lovely coat & condition , I particularly liked her front in . Just a fraction long in second thigh. A credit to her owner but had to bow to youth today.
Open
1. Wood Penbo Kensington JW – what a character … I am sure his owners won’t be offended if I say he was being a real teenage boy today – he had the air of an adolescent who had been dug out of bed to go to school! So much of what I have said about his sister applies to him … I was reminded afterwards that he was my RBPIS a few months ago. Had he decided to ‘get up & get going’ he would have given his sister real competition – what a lovely pair.
