Great Dane

Puppy (1)

1. White; Jutlanders Beam Me Up (imp Den)

Well grown male puppy with a lot of quality. Standing a little long in profile at the moment but while he has good angles at front and rear, the middle has yet to fill in. Good breadth in front with some sternum showing but still to fill out. Excellent bone and well knuckled feet. Excellent croup and tail set. Impressive drive behind when settled. Lovely long head with correct planes and not too much flew. BP ResBOB

Junior (2)

1. Repeat

2. Harvey; Roychamp Coconut

A black bitch in extremely well muscled condition. Square in outline and moving soundly. Feminine head and good scissor bite. A would like a little more all over.

Open (3,1)

1. White; Jutlanders Are You Ready (imp Den)

A lovely fawn bitch who combines impressive stature with elegance. Pleasing head proportions and feminine outlook. Lovely crest and reach of neck. Shoulder could be better layed. Good for body and coupling. Moving soundly BOB

2. Griffin/Gierson; Griffindane Athos

Strong built male but for me lacks in overall balance. Well developed body and extremely short loin for size, but I would prefer more leg length to make a squarer picture. Head is too extreme for me.

Newfoundland

Puppy (3)

1. Farrar; Disoranto Moonlight Shadow at Darkpeak

Classy youngster with good overall proportions, a bit between coats. Lovely head and expression with kind eye and well set ears. Excellent neck and forehand. Good through the body and a steady top line on the move. Excellent bone and strong coupling. Presented in well muscled condition which shows on the move with collected but ground covering gait. BP and Puppy Group 2

2. Burton; Vodahond Vienna

Well prepared 8 month old with many attributes. Typical in profile and well coated. Well set eyes with head still developing. Overall structure is OK, more upright in front than winner. Good bone and feet.

Open (3,2)

1. Burton; Merrybear Freddie Mercury

Very typical male, good for coat and substance. Masculine in head; flews could be tighter for me. A large male who moves his self with great assurance and with ease and a powerful rear action. BOB

Border Collie

Puppy (3)

1. Shahmatova; Nashdom Strawberry Fields

Stylish youngster shown to advantage. Excellent neck and shoulder. Sweet expression and lovely kind eye. Still immature through the body and needs more muscle.

2. Lee/Ratcliffe; Arrodare An Emotion Away

Liked this youngster very much but really didn’t want to be here today. Lovely head and expression and a decent mover but not showing any agile or sprightly movement. Carrying a big coat which makes him look a bit bulky at the moment.

3. Stevens; Stillrockin Blue Callum

Junior (2)

1. Shahmatova; Nashdom Three Times A Lady

Litter sister to winner of puppy and many of same remarks apply. In the end I preferred the overall balance of this girl. While not gaited to advantage, she is sound and well deserved her place.

2. Nashdom Strawberry Fields

Open (2)

1. Lee; Master of Illusion JW

Very typical male who went on to win the Pastoral Group – well done. Good overall proportions and conformation. Excellent shoulder and well balanced in side gait and up and down. Shown with correct double coat and exhibiting so many things I love in the Border Collie. BOB

2. Shahmatova; Nashdom Putting on the Style JW

Good body, well rounded croup, good tail carriage and stylishly shown to present a good side gait. Rather out of coat. Preferred front assembly of 1.
