The best class of the day 3 young bitches of quality, and on another day, they could easily switch places.

1st Kelly & Wains Lajatico Aida 17-month-old brown roan bitch presented in excellent condition, muscular with excellent second thigh, this little bitch was on her game today, moving so soundly and with confidence on a floor that some older and more experienced dogs struggled to get to grips with. She has lovely dark eyes of a good shape and size and a sweet expression so typical for the breed. She has a correct tightly overlapping scissor bite; she has correct divergence and ears are set on correctly. Standing she is compact and square, well boned and well-made throughout. Her coat was harsh and well-presented and she has thick skin, if I was to nit-pick her coat was a tad dark for my ideal. However, her sound confident movement today meant that she could not be denied BOB. I was later delighted to watch her get shortlisted to the last 7 in a very strong Best in Show. Huge well done.

2nd Affilato Love Me Tender Taller 15-month-old white & orange bitch whose head I preferred to winner, feminine head with leaner back skull than first very good divergence with lovely eye and expression. She has a very good pronounced sternum for a young bitch Again a well-balanced bitch shown in muscular condition with excellent second thigh, presented in excellent condition she has a harsh coat and thick leathery skin, moved and handled well, she was unlucky to meet 1st on top form today.

Postgraduate (2 Entries 1 Abs)

1st Kelly & Wain’s Lajatico Aida (Repeat)

Open (3 Entries)

1st Firth’s Hochopepa Let’s Go Crazy with Sophalba Masculine 3.5-year-old white and orange dog, slightly broader in skull, however he has a lovely eye and soft expression with correct bite and ear set. He has a very good forechest with very good front angulation leading into correct topline and well-muscled croup, his thighs are well muscled with good width and length and an excellent second thigh. He is well boned with strong hocks; I would prefer more coat to complete the picture. Moving best in this class today to take his well-earned 1st place.

2nd Littlemore’s Aurelia The Explorer of Krismoor JW Four-year-old white and orange bitch, who I judged 3 years ago as a puppy, and indeed awarded her BPIB that day. Still a favourite of mine the comments then still apply today and she still has the best of heads and is coming into maturity nicely, I was expecting much of her today, however she was not enjoying the surface and this showed in her movement causing her to move close behind. Such a shame.
