Nuneaton and District Canine Society

My many thanks to the committee for the invitation to judge and giving me such a lovely day, I must also thank my wonderful stewards, Heather and David.

Cocker Spaniel

Puppy

(4,2a) 1. Parker, Mr G K & Mrs L M. Annilann Miss Sweetheart at Weyhill – 11 month old b/r bitch who has a lovely soft expression. She is deep throughout, stands on good bone and had such a merry attitude to her days work. Was a picture both stacked and on the move. BP RBOB

2. Fawcett, Miss E Mrs B. Annilann Mister Dickens – Another lovely puppy of 9 months, b/r dog who had nice head and front, he’s short and cobby but just needs time to mature. Moved with great enthusiasm! I’d just have liked him carrying a little less weight over his shoulders.

Junior

(6,4a) 1. Hill, Mrs H. Princehill Shining Star – 18 month old b/w bitch who I judged as a puppy and liked then. Her feminine head and dark eye pull you in, she has a super spring of rib and so compact. Her lovely short hocks, coupled with her well- muscled thighs allowed her to move nicely around the ring, shown in beautiful condition. Just struggled with moving on the floor in a subsequent class.

2. Fajardo, Mrs J P. Glowhill Spicks and Specs at Sanmatayo- 13 month old b/r dog, nice masculine head, reasonable length of neck, good topline both stood and on the move. Longer cast than 1 but moved nicely. He gave his handler a bit of challenge with excitement but well managed.

Post Graduate

(6,2a) 1. West, Mrs C A. Sheigra Simply A Star JW – Another I have judged previously and who has come on with time. Black bitch with the sweetest of heads, lovely neck and lay of shoulder, short coupled with a good spring of rib and a nicely muscled rear.

2. Ward, Mrs B M. Pearkim Persephone at Wensum – O/r bitch with a good head and eye, she presents a nice picture when stacked. She is well bodied with ample bone and maintains a level topline on the move and her constant wagging tail completed the picture. I just preferred 1s movement today.

Open

(4,2 a) 1. West, Mrs C A. Sheigra Stars In Her Eyes JW – Black bitch with such a feminine expression, this femininity continues throughout but maintaining substance and depth. She is short in her back and has a good turn of stifle with neat little hocks which aided her enjoyment of moving. I was pleased to award her BOB.

2. Olibond Sunshine Girl at Princehill – O/r bitch, slightly longer cast than one but has a good neck and shoulder, level topline and nicely angulated throughout. Great care has been given to her lovely presentation.
