Catalan Sheepdogs: Thank you to the committee for inviting me to judge at such a well organised show and to exhibitors for their entries. Pleased to say all the exhibits were well presented, with correct dentition, pigment and all had rear double dewclaws.

JD/B (0, 0)

PGD/B (2, 1) 1 Bland’s Kiandra Little Maggie. 4yo fawn bitch with great overall balance and type. Well proportioned, feminine head with a nice dark eye, strong neck leading into well laidback shoulders, well-muscled upper arm with short, strong pasterns and tight feet. Excellent topline, well sprung ribs, good depth of chest and strong loin. Slightly sloping croup with low set tail of correct length, very strong first and second thighs, well let down hocks. Moved freely and with purpose, topline carried well. BOB.

OD/B (2,0) 1 Bland’s Starwell Ilex at Kiandra. 9yo fawn bitch, dam to PG winner and very similar in type, just slightly more petite all through. Well balanced head with a dark eye, good length of neck, strong and well-angulated forequarters. Good topline, would have preferred a deeper chest, well sprung ribs and strong loin although a little short. Slightly sloping croup leading into strong hindquarters and well let down hocks. Good length of tail. Moved well, however topline not always held on the move. RBOB 2 Shrieves’ Winarose Wanderin Star. 18months sable dog, maturing well just needs bit more time to finish. Correct head, dark eye with a lovely expression, good length of neck and well laid-back shoulder and good return of upper arm, front pasterns appeared slightly long. Good topline, well sprung ribs, strong loin. Good hindquarters, not quite the angulation of winner, well let down hocks. Moved freely, looked very good in front and side profile but slightly close behind going away.
