Thanks to the committee for inviting me, although still full of cold I thoroughly enjoyed my day and was delighted
that my Pastoral Group winner the Border Collie and Puppy Group Winner the Bearded Collie, both took top honours
for BIS and BPIS respectively.
BMD
Sadly, only the one entry in the breed which was in Open, but the dog present was worthy of the award given on the
day, Miles’ Jaybiem Modus Operandi JW a substantial male of 21mth well off for bone carrying correct weight for
age and size. Strong head with good development of skull, strong muzzle, with defined stop, dark almond eye, dark
flews, correct coat with clear markings. Standing straight in front onto round compact feet, strong top line, nice
spring of rib with gentle under carriage, lovely croup and tail set. Good development of first and second thigh onto
strong hocks, moved with purpose, sound in all directions. BOB and WG3
Newfoundland
Thank you for the entry, really enjoyed going over the exhibits present some places were very close.
Puppy (5)
A class of quality puppies.
1st Farrar’s Disoranto Moonlight Shadow At Darkpeak (Imp POL) 10mth Black Bitch, lovely bitch, presented a lovely
outline deep chest and correct ribcage with nice width of back for age, attractive head strong skull, tight dark eye,
straight strong muzzle. Strong neck onto a well angled front, tight elbows, standing straight in front onto good feet,
strong hocks, this enabled her to move so true when coming to with a side gait displaying correct extension for her
construction. BP RBOB & WPG 1
2nd Nash’s Mississippi-Missouri Hamer Time (Imp) 8mth Black Male, lovely character which I am sure will turn him
into a true showman once mature. Took a while to settle but as a judge this does not stop me from awarding an
animal a worthy place. Head developing well, nice neck onto a good front, not as true in front as first place but this
will improve with age, broad back with nice ribbing, lovely rear angles gave him good drive on the move. Moved
sound and free.
3rd Pallett’s Auldmoor First Edition For Sheenmarie
Graduate (6,1abs, 1wd)
1st Farrar’s Disoranto Moonlight Shadow At Darkpeak (Imp POL)
2nd Springthorpe’s Sandbears First Class At Millthorpe 16mth black male, nicely balanced throughout, good head
with dark eye, strong muzzle. Strong neck onto good front, tight elbows, strong in back, with nice spring of rib and
depth of chest, rounded croup onto a balanced rear and strong hocks. Moved well in all directions just not quite the
extension as 1st
3rd Chapple’s Femme Fatal Bear Mountain At Peakcharm (Imp CZE)
Open (3)
1st Springthorpe’s CH Millthorpe Mr Rochester JW ShCM 2½ yr quality black male. He is so well put together in
great condition and such a dense coat that on first glance makes him look overweight but he is far from that, Strong
head, short square muzzle, small dark eye, small well-placed ears. Muscular neck onto a nice lay of shoulder, elbows
tight and standing straight onto good feet. Well ribbed with strong broad back blending into a lovely croup and well
angled rear with excellent muscle development. So true in movement with good extension. BOB and WG2
2nd Farrar’s Disoranto Moonlight Shadow At Darkpeak (Imp POL)
St Bernard
Puppy (1)
1st Lyons’ Big Paw Urash At Snowfordhill stood alone in the class and the only one representing the breed on the
day. 10mth typical young male who is still learning the ropes of showing but doesn’t realise his size, he definitely
didn’t make it easy for his handler, but did all that was required for me to assess him. Large head that is still
developing, would like a tighter eye but this will improve as his head develops. Balanced angles fore and aft, with a
good body developing, strong top line for his age and size, sloping croup with good tail set. Top sized male that uses
all he has on the move once settled, displaying soundness with just slight puppy looseness. BP & BOB
Siberian Husky
A nice entry of 9 on paper split over 2 classes but sadly only one attendee in Open. However, he was a lovely
example of the breed. Tinker’s Multi CH Zaltana Kiss My Paws At Lolotea JW (Imp POL) 2yr male of good size and
nice covering. An extremely alert and striking male, with good head, correct ear set and eye, good stop with correct
length of muzzle showing no signs of being snipy, finished with a dark nose and mouth. Medium length of neck onto
a well laid shoulder, well placed upper arm standing on compact feet, strong top line with muscled loin, sloping
croup with good tail set and carriage, powerful thighs showing good muscle development. Moved well in all
directions, presented in excellent condition. Did not put a foot wrong, a true showman BOB and awarded him WG1
in a good group.

stunning head piece. Comprising of a broad skull, filled cheeks, pronounced stop, strong short muzzle, strong broad

Well arched strong neck, chest wide, deep brisket. Good front, and stands straight, still a little loose in pastern as
expected with age which is seen on the move, short and compact in body. Strong rear, excellent muscle for age.
Sound for age, but actually moved better in the group with a larger ring. Best AVNSC Puppy RBAVNSC & WPG 3

moved sound and will achieve once she overcomes her anxiousness.
Open (4, 2abs)
1st Griffin & Grierson’s Griffindane Athos Fawn Male Great Dane just under 3 yrs, no getting away from him being a
male, such a big strong lad, strong head in keep with his structure, dark eye, would like them tighter, and a cleaner
lip, strong neck onto a good lay of shoulder and upper arm, tight elbow, nice body strong top line onto a lovely croupand rear angles, with good tail set. Standing on tight feet with well arched toes. Outline a little spoilt due with his
sternum which protrudes slightly. Moved sound awarded Best AVNSC

head, with a good eye and rimmed in darkest black, gradual stop onto a strong muzzle, dark flews complimented her
look. Strong short neck onto a top line that was firm for one so young, good depth to chest, nice rear angles showing
strength and power, front angles not as balanced. Movement was ok for such a large dog at this you age, just
hackneying a little at present. Nicely moulded croup with good set of tail.
3rd Cowley’s Flindattie Cherry Blossom By Kashbeluli
Graduate (5, 3abs)
1st Gibbons’ Wispafete Once Upon A Dream 6mth Australian Shepherd bitch litter sister to the puppy class winner,
attractive head of good proportions and width of skull, displaying a dark eye and strong ear carriage, strong stop
with good length of muzzle. Moderate neck blending well on to a good front construction, firm top line for age and
spring of rib onto lovely rear angles. Her angles enabled her to move effortlessly with soundness displayed at all
times, this is what won her Best AVNSC Puppy.
2nd Furzland & Clarke’s Mybeards Kracker Polish Lowland, liked the outline of this boy in profile. Strong masculine
head covered correctly with profuse hair, nicely proportioned, well defined stop, medium eye, strong muscular neck
blended nicely onto an excellent front assembly, strong top line, slightly sloping moulded croup, rear angles were
good also but would benefit from a little more inner thigh muscle, movement in gait was good , would prefer
straighter hocks on the move and in stance.
