I must thank the hard working committee, stewards and exhibitors for making my show day, a day to remember with no negative thoughts.  Both judges were changed and only received KC approval a few days before entry closing date.  The stormy weather that caused flooding reduced the committee present even more at the show so well done committee you all did an excellent job and the exhibitors who managed to come to the show even if we were not the judge you entered under.  I was very pleased with the quality of my entry, yes I still see we have our usual faults that is not getting any worse so the breed is still in good hands in these trying times. On the positive side I was surprized with the amount of long tails I judged today, so yes tails are improving greatly.

1st Redpath’s - Pathaaron Eye Of The Storm – 7 month old tricolour with full markings, good wedged shaped head, excels in breed type, super shape plus good fore and aft angulations, stood four square, long tail, moved well for a pup as young.

2nd Fisher’s - Shellamoyed Blue Crystal – 6 month old blue merle, good colour but slightly heavier marked on her show side, good wedged shaped head but stop needs to settle, good fore and aft angulations, just preferred the overall balance of my 1st.

3rd Forbes - Degallo Cheeky Vimto

1st Purves - Donallin Magic In Blue - 11 month old blue merle, good head properties but has more white as I prefer which slightly distracts her sweet expression, super reach of neck, nice overall shape and balance, long tail, moved with good drive and  front extension.

2nd Simpson’s - Blue Panda Among Clemwood – 9 month old blue merle of good colour, sweet expression, super reach of neck, just preferred my 1st overall balance, moved as her construction suggests.

3rd Whyte’s -  Shellamoyed Black Lace

1st Drysdale’s - Kishdigra Leave Me Breathless For Jondrea – Sable & White, Good eye shape, set and placement combining to give her sweet  feminine expression, nice shape, kept her topline on the move, just needs more coat to complete the overall picture.

2nd Gartland’s - Stiosan How To Sparkle At Arcot – Sable & White, another sweet  girl of good breed type but did not look a happy girl today, her profuse coat at rear  made her look high at rear thus spoiling the overall balance which cost her 1st place today, moved with drive.

3rd Wilson’s - Mohnesee Dare To Dream At Dasgeda– 2nd in Maiden

20 Yearling Bitch (6,1)

1st Hardman’s - Seavall Taran – Tricolour in good coat jet black in colour with good tan markings, good head with neat well used ears, good fore and aft angulations, level top line nice sweep over croup with well-set long tail, well  let down hock, moved with drive.

2nd Bray’s - Lianbray Laced With Gold, Sable & White, similar remarks apply to this girl just lost out to my first on maturity of her chest which I’m sure will develop further, liked her forward reach on the move.

3rd Drysdale’s - Kishdigra Leave Me Breathless For Jondrea – 1st in Junior.

21 Maiden Bitch (6,3)

1st Fisher’s - Shellamoyed Blue Sapphire (BPB) 6 month old blue merle of good colour, sweetest of expressions, ample neck,  good fore and aft angulations, super-size, shape and balance, stood four square at all times, another blue from this kennel looking to make the top house.

2nd Wilson’s - Mohnesee Dare To Dream At Dasgeda – Sable & White, lovely for  breed type, good reach of neck, level topline, nice overall shape but still a bit immature in body, her movement let her down today.

3rd Cooper’s - Milesend Sunnyspell

1st Forbes - Degallo Cheeky Vimto –  3rd MP - Sable& White – excels in breed type, nice reach neck, good overall shape & balance, stood four square, kept her topline on the move, well let down hock.

1st Redpath’s - Sonymer Storm Doris Into Pathaaron – Tricolour – excels in breed type, sweetest of expression, lovely reach of neck, good depth of rib, lovely shape and overall balance, stood four square, just loved her forward reach on the move.

2nd Drysdale’s - Muirieston Shooting Star For Jondrea - Sable& White – good head properties just a bit heavy in ears, good topline but due to her profuse coat looks high at rear thus not showing  the overall balance her construction suggest, moved ok.

1st Wilkie’s - Avonbank Designed To Dazzle – Sable & White of excellent type, of ideal size, good reach neck, lovely shape and overall balance, well let down hock, moved ok

2nd Babiak’s - Donallin Ultimate Magic At Egalefalls – another Sable & White of excellent type, similar remarks apply, she lost out today on her size as I would prefer her a size smaller, moved with drive.

3rd Elder’s - Ellenyorn Echo Falls

1st Nixon’s - Japaro Its All About Me (RCC) – Sable & White, super classic head,  good front and rear angulations, nice sweep over the loin with correct tail set, well let down hock, loved her forward reach on the move.

2nd Scott’s - Degallo Sure Thing – Another Sable & White that excels in breed type but lost out to my first as she was not looking as balanced today due too much coat on her rear making her look to have a high rear, again loved her forward reach on the move.

3rd Bray’s - Lianbray Locked In Love

1st McDonald’s - Fearnach Making Mischief (CC, RBIS) Blue Merle that has it all, good colour plus nicely marbled with black markings, sweetest of expressions, lovely reach of neck, good depth of rib, super shape and overall balance, stood four square, well let down hock, just loved her forward reach on the move, as usual groomed to perfection plus attentive to her handler.

2nd Shaw’s - Bluequarry Pearl Blue – 5 year old Blue Merle of a darker colour, good head and expression. good head planes, very well placed ears that she used at all times, ample angulations, today was not as positive when moving.

1st Elder’s - Ellenyorn Gem Of Cara(BVIS)-  Sable & White, classic head, excels in breed type, nice arched neck, level topline, lovely shape and overall balance, stood four square, another that I loved the forward reach on the move.

28 Special Open (Sable & White) Bitch (5.2)

1st Barnett & Hardman’s - Rainway  Returning To Seavall – nearly 10 years old Sable & White,  good head properties giving the sweetest of expressions and  excels in breed type, nice shape and overall balance, moved with drive.

2nd Drysdale’s - Muirieston Shooting Star For Jondrea  - Sable & White, good head properties, ample angulations, good for size, good breed type, attentive to her handler, moved okay

3rd Babiak’s - Donallin Ultimate Magic At Egalefalls – 2nd PG

29 Special Open (Tricolour, Black & White,Black & Tan) Bitch (2,0)

1st Gatheral’s - Herds Hallucination – Tricolour with well balanced head of correct proportions and a good harsh textured coat, super reach of neck, good fore and aft angulations, moved with drive keeping her topline on the move.

2nd Welford’s - Ristine Emerald  – Tricolour of good breed type, good reach of neck, good shape and balance, tended to stand bad at rear which cost her the class today.

30 Special Open (Blue Merle) Bitch (3,0)

1st Walker’s - Channerswick Pennywise – Blue Merle of excellent breed type, good colour and nicely marbled, good depth of chest, good reach of neck, good shape and overall balance, level topline, moved with drive.

2nd Simpson & Hardman’s - Blue Panda Among Clemwood – 2nd in Puppy

3rd Shaw’s - Bluequarry Pearl Blue – 2nd in Open

1st Stafford’s - CH Rannerdale Queen O’The North, - another Sable & White of excellent breed type, super shape and overall balance, moved with drive keeping her topline on the move, just preferred the expressions of my ticket winners

2nd Drysdale’s - Jondrea Heavens Dream – Sable & White, was 4th in puppy , sweet expression, ample neck, nice shape, stood four square, a bit puppy in movement needs more time to mature.
