Puppy Dog (6 Entries) Abs: 3

1st: PHILLIPS Mrs W G Wendbarry Tadashi Go – 6 mth old red/fawn Japanese Akita Inu, well boned pup, well balanced with correct length of body, lovely head with correct triangle, , broad flat skull, tight, dark eye, good amount of stop and strong muzzle, overall giving the correct oriental expression, thick neck, nice shoulder angulation, ok for front, nice depth and enough spring of ribs, pleasing rear, with enough turn of stifle, just needs to settle on the move. Pleased to award him Best Puppy & Reserve Best Dog.

2nd: JOHNSON Mr P Taiho Go Tamashi Kenn – 11 mth old red/fawn another pleasing puppy, more mature than 1, but going through different growing stages, just a touch shorter than 1 at the moment, lovely eye, dark and tight, good skull, ears a touch large at the moment, still time to grow into them, good neck, and nice shoulders, pleasing front, just needs to strengthen, nice ribbing and good topline and tailset, pleasing rear with well developed thighs. Another that needs to settle on the move.

3rd: PAYNE Mr C & Mrs H Duxfortis Forest

Puppy Bitch (4 Entries) Abs: 2

1st: TAYLOR Mr N & Mrs E Spring Snowdrop – 10 mth old Kooikerhondje bitch, very pretty feminine girl, correct head proportions, enough stop to complete the picture, dark eyes with correct expression, correct set and size of ears, well feathered with ear rings already showing, well laid shoulder, tight elbows, good body with level topline, nice rear with well let down hocks, well feathered tail, just needs a bit more confidence on the move

2nd: LEE Mrs L H Ameya Alma Lu – 10 mth old black & gold Hovawart, good size puppy with plenty of bone, pleasing head with good eye shape and colour, head needs to mature which will come with age, nice ear set, well laid back shoulders, well balanced body, whilst having a well angulated rear, it needs to be stronger, which again, will come in time, good feet, didn’t make the most of herself on the move, needs some more training.

Post Graduate D/B (8 Entries) Abs: 6

1st: NORTON, Ms H & THOMAS Mr R Kalaslane Judge Judy At Carantana (Ikc) – 19 mth old Russian Black Bitch, strong bitch but still feminine, plenty of bone, and good size, lovely head, with high set ears, well shaped eyes, with tight lids, lovely and dark, giving a lovely expression, parallel lines, with strong muzzle, nice length of neck going into well laid shoulders, strong front, deep chest with well sprung ribs, short loin, good topline and tailset, strong rear with parallel legs, muscular thighs, and good turn of stifle, good reach and drive on the move. Pleased to award her Best Bitch and Best AV Rare Breed.

2nd: DUNN Mrs S F Karhunkierros Cartney-sir At Mullacaboo – 3 yr old Great Swiss Mountain Dog – Good size male with good bone, skull broad and flat, well proportioned head, good stop, strong muzzle, nice length of neck, correct shoulders, could be tighter on front, pleasing body with good depth, enough spring of rib to match dog, pleasing angles on rear, but again, could be stronger, pleasing profile movement, pleased to award Best Dog.

1st: 749 NORTON, Ms H & THOMAS Mr R Aveyrew Hot Gossip At Carantana – 3 ½ yr old Russian Black Terrier bitch, another upstanding bitch with good bone and substance. Another overall pleasing bitch, for me didn’t have the head piece of her kennel mate, but still with good angles and lovely body, just would like a touch tighter in movement as well.

Open Bitch (6 Entries) Abs: 4

1st: BYRNE Mrs P A Ir Ch Harpan Charlotte Bay Ir jch B jch – just over 18 mth old Canadian Eskimo Bitch, feminine bitch that still needs to mature, would like a touch more substance on her overall to complete the picture, well proportioned head with pleasing eye, good ear set, , short neck, well laid back shoulders, nice body holding a good topline and tailset, pleasing rear with a good turn of stifle, pleasing on the move. Pleased to award her RBB.

2nd: McLURE Mr J & Mrs C Kanukalos Burletta – 4 yr old black & gold Hovawart, good sized bitch, plenty of bone and substance, well balanced and good bone, pleasing head shape, with good eye and ear set, good proportion, strong neck, well muscled forequarters, which could be tighter, strong chest, good depth, pleasing rear angulation, nice profile movement, touch close on rear.
