GOLDEN RETRIEVER FEMALES

Entries: 191 (79 absents)

I want to express my gratitude to the Show Committee for the great effort of organize a memorable show. It has been an honor to share my weekend with so many excellent colleagues. A special mention to my perfect team of stewards. They are one of the main responsible of running show smoothly.

I’ve enjoyed judging any single dog in my ring. A pity the number of absents but apparently it’s something usual this time of the year.

Thanks to all the exhibitors for their sportsmanship, something that I’ve learn deeply through the years in this country.

MINOR PUPPY BITCH: 21 entries (7 absents)

McDonald’s RAMCHAINE HAVING A GOOD TIME AT LAMANCHA (Imp NLD)

7 m.o. pale girl of lovely construction. Beautiful head with the lovely expression typical of the breed. Nice neck and shoulders. An excellent body for her age. Good quality coat. Correct movement for a puppy.

2. Dunbar’s LINIRGOR BEAUTY

7 m.o. girl of superb type and beautiful head. I like very much her body and proportions, with a nice neck and excellent shoulders. Impressive coat condition. Only the movement, a bit soft at the moment, put her second, but she has such a bright future in front.

3. Bolaño’s GREY GOOSE HIT THE LIGHTS

PUPPY BITCH: 28 (9)

Ashton’s WILLOWLAWN WYLDSTYLE

11 m.o., one of the stars of the day. Totally balanced all over with nice proportions and almost perfect angulations. She has the kind of head a like with the expression one can always wait in a Golden. Shown perfectly in immaculate condition and moving well. Just need a bit more maturity but was all the time in my head for the tickets. Lately she was BPOB with the agreement of my co-judge.

2. Kinmond’s FERNWYCHE MOONLIGHT SONATA

11 m.o. Nice type. Sweet head and expression, with a good maturity for her age. In excellent coat condition, she’s a happy smooth mover. I’d prefer just a bit longer upper arm.

3. Hauser’s ELKARIMA’S GOLDEN MISS DIVINE

JUNIOR BITCH: 20 (10)

Vermander’s AMILONE LEGEND OF THE STONE

Very nice structure and good type. So balanced girl with proper proportions and excellent angulations. Mature in body, she has a nice head and coat. Movement could be more firm.

2. Kinmond’s FERNWYCHE MOONLIGHT SONATA

3. Thomson’s TODDROSA OASIS CHARM

YEARLING BITCH: 20 (12)

Porter’s SHEARSTONE MUCK FE JW

A bit small girl but so well made and balanced. I like very much her head and expression and the lovely neck fluently going to good shoulders and front. Very nice movement.

2. Hauser’s JEWELHOPE PENNY BLUE

Beautiful type with such a wonderful head and expression. Shown in excellent conditions of coat, well trimmed and perfect handling. Moves smoothly with nice drive. I’d prefer her a bit shorter in loin.

3. Thomson’s TODDROSA OASIS CHARM

GRADUATE BITCH: 18 (11)

Clunie’s WARRENTOR CAIPIRINHA JW

Very attractive dark girl of excellent coat and nice type. Balanced in angulations, she has some important points in the breed as good shoulders, perfect topline and happy temperament, combining everything in a very good movement. A serious contender for the awards today.

2. Archibald’s ABINVALE MISS DIOR

Another nice girl of good type, as usual for the breeder, keeping the quality of head and expression and a very nice and clean neck. Still not full mature, the coat was not in her best today. She moves well but could be a bit stronger behind.

3. Porter’s SHEARSTONE RIFF RAFF JW

POST GRADUATE BITCH: 26 (11)

Anderson’s LINCHAEL LIVIA JW

My star of the day. I’ve liked her since she was a puppy. Full of class and charisma, she’s the picture of the elegance I look for in a female. Stunning head and expression, I love her balanced angulations. Super feminine. Beautiful neck and front. She’s just a bit long in loin, but this don’t alter the picture. Good coat and movement, was a pleasure to give her a well deserved CC.

2. Haxton’s DANTASSIE DISADORA

Nice girl of compact proportions. Good type and medium gold color. Very nice head with typical expression. She has a nice front, with good neck and well laid shoulders. Mature body, she’s a good mover and was not easy to decide, always fighting for the 1st place.

3. Williamson’s SANDTI HITS THE SWEET SPOT

LIMIT BITCH: 26 (15)

Healey’s THORNYWAIT JILLAROO FOR MARSABIT

Absolutely stunning mover in top fit condition, as we could always wait from a sporting breed as Golden is. Thanks and congratulations to her owner for it. She has a very nice type, balanced in angulations and firm in topline, as we can see when she fly around the ring. CoRrect coat and very nice head. A pleasure to judge her.

2. Campion’s FENPIQUE GLIITERGLOW

So feminine girl of nice type and almost perfect balance. I like very much her front angulation, neck and shoulders. Good mover, maybe could have a bit better eyes.

3. Crooke’s and Jenkinson’s QUAKERHALL PANDORA’S BOUNTY

OPEN BITCH: 19 (9)

Dunbar’s SH. CH. LINIRGOR VIOLETS ARE BLUE JW

Brillan attitude and temperament, she was shown in perfect conditions and handled to perfection, as it’s usual for her breeder. Very nice head and expression, mature and balanced with a very nice movement. It’s a pity not to have more awards to give when you have a top contender like her.

2. McDonald’s SH. CH. FERGUSGLEN DANCING QUEEN AT LAMANCHA JW ShCM

Love her type. She has the head and expression I like, with a very balanced picture. Glooming coat and excellent angulations. Was very difficult to decide in this particular “Battle of Scots”, but finally was second under a more mature and fit first one. Top quality.

3. Bolaño’s GREY GOOSE SEDA Y HIERRO

VETERAN BITCH: 13 (6)

Archibald’s SH. CH. & IR. CH. ABINVALE MYSTIC RIVER

Just can say WOW! She’s near to 10 y.o. but still keeps the passion and energy to be one of the best movers of the day. I like her since long ago. You can’t notice her age, and that’s a great success for her breeder and owner. She has many of her father qualities, like a wonderful head with the softest expression. Very balance all over, she was not in her best coat today, but was a great honor to give har the RCC.

2. Bolaño’s TOSCANA MOON DE RIA VELA (ATC AU01265ESP)

I judged her for the very first time when she was a Junior. Now, ten years later, she still surprise me with her attitude. She doesn’t know the boredom and also has passed this and much more qualities to her progeny. Classic type, balanced and out of any excess, she has been and still is a great example of the breed.

3. Scott’s LARGYMORE LADY BRACHIA JW
