HINDQUARTERS

Upper thigh not too short, broad and strongly muscled. Lower thigh well muscled at top, strong and sinewy below. Stifles “FAIRLY” well bent. Hocks well angulated “WITHOUT EXAGGERATION”, metatarsals not completely vertical. Strength and soundness of hock highly desirable.

I found today that some had a short upper thigh & a long second thigh, which caused “sinking” behind as the over angulation could not support the rear. Viewed from behind, although well muscled, some were cow hocked on the move as well as in stance.

MINOR PUPPY DOG – 1

1st - ABACAB'S JURGEN – Seven month old male with a good body shape at this stage in his development. Well developed head, good length & depth of rib cage & moderate angles front & rear. Just a touch long in loin.

PUPPY DOG – 4, 1 abs

1st – AUSRIES THE REAL THING FOR ACINONYX – Nine month old well grown male with a masculine head, small ears & dark eye. Straight front legs, moderate angles & deep, long ribcage at this stage of his development. Moved freely. Best Puppy Dog.

2nd – AUSRIES A PERFECT STORM – Nine month old male, not as far on in his development at this stage. Head needs to develop & just a touch too much tan in front. Good deep long ribcage & moved freely.

3rd - COTTIVY BASIL

JUNIOR DOG – 3, 1 abs

1st – WHISPERDOWN ALL THE RAGE AT JEZEVE – Fourteen month old male with a good head, fair length of neck, deep, long ribcage & moderate angles. Well boned front legs & good feet. Moved freely.

2nd - VARENKA SILVER ARROW FOR RIVERSROCK – Sixteen month male with a good head & dark eye. Slightly upright in front & feet could be tighter. Long deep ribcage & moved freely holding his backline.

YEARLING DOG – 3, 1 ABS

1ST – CH FANTASA BLU DIABLO – Twenty month balanced male with a good head & small ears. Fair length of neck, correct body to height ratio, deep long ribcage & short loin. Good angles front & rear. Moved powerfully & freely. Would prefer a better eye shape to complete the picture.

2ND - JAQARY HOCUS POCUS – Fifteen month old male full of beans today. Good head, fair length of neck, straight front legs, just a touch upright in front. Moved freely.

GRADUATE DOG - 2

1ST – BEVANRAY URWIN – Another full of beans today. Masculine head, just a touch wide in skull, with a dark eye. Good bone and substance. Fair reach of neck leading to balanced angles front & rear. Deep long rib cage & moving freely.

2ND - APOCALYPTO AMBASSADOR – Two year old male with a good head just would have preferred a less round eye. Straight well boned front legs, good front & moderate rear angles. Moved freely.

POST GRADUATE DOG – 4

1ST – STAIRVALE FRAZER JW – 2 year old male. Masculine head with small ears & dark eye, strong neck, firm backline held on the move, good front angulation just a touch long in second thigh, well boned front legs but feet could be tighter. Moved freely.

2ND – MEGALMAR HUBBLE BUBBLE – 2.5 year old male having a masculine head with dark eye. Straight well boned front legs but feet could be tighter. Level backline held on the move just a touch longer in loin, but moved powerfully.

LIMIT DOG – 4, 2 ABS

1ST – CHEROHO GAMORIAN GUARD – 4 year old male of good size with straight well boned legs but feet could be tighter. Good shoulder layback, just a fraction straight in upper are. Level backline in stance & held as he moved freely.

2ND – GVIDO KING OF THE EAST – 6 year old male with a good head, well boned front legs but would have liked a little more length. Good body shape just a touch short in upper thigh. Just slightly restricted on the move.

OPEN DOG – 8, 1 ABS

1ST – CH CAMMCASTLES QUARTERBACK FANTASA (Imp USA) – 4 year old balanced male with strong masculine head. He has a balanced body shape of correct proportions, strong neck leading to good angles front & rear. Straight front legs with tight feet. No exaggerations. He moved soundly & powerfully holding his backline on the move – Dog Challenge Certificate & Best Of Breed.

2ND – WESTLODGE JAMIE OLIVER JW SHCM – 4 year old male with a good head, balanced body shape with good angles front & rear. Straight front legs & compact feet. Level backline held as he moved freely – Reserve Challenge Certificate.

2ND - ARKA VON TISHEVITSA – 3 year old female with a feminine head & body shape. Just a touch short in front leg but moved freely.

MINOR PUPPY BITCH – 3

1ST – GRACEZHEIM THE LIONESS – 7 month old female. She has a feminine head, balanced body shape of correct proportions. Good length of neck leading to good angles front & rear. Straight front legs & compact feet. She held her backline as she moved freely. The more I looked at this female, the more correct she became – no exaggerations. Best Puppy Bitch, Best Puppy in Breed & Reserve Challenge Certificate.

2ND – PENVALTER RUBY – This is another good female with a feminine head, not quite so far on as one at this stage in her development. Good front angles & she holds her backline on the move.

3RD - DARKARMAR I'M STILL STANDING

PUPPY BITCH – 3, 1 ABS

1ST – PORTACREE OF LUCE TO WESTLODGE – 11 month female who has a well proportioned body shape. Good angles front & rear with a balanced length of neck & a feminine head. She moved freely but would have liked tighter feet.

2ND - WILDHEART ATHENA AT VIRLEES – Good feminine head good length of neck, Good layback of shoulder, just a touch short & upright upper arm. Correct height to length ratio. Moved freely, backline needs to strengthen.

JUNIOR – 4, 1 ABS

1ST – WHISPERDOWN ALL OF ME AT JEZEVE – 14 month female with a feminine head balanced length of neck, good angles front & rear. Correct body shape with nothing over or under done. Moved freely.

2ND – APOCALYPTO BARRACUDA – 16 month female. Strong but feminine head & balanced body shape. Good angles front & rear & moving freely, would just like tighter feet.

3RD – WARRIMEAD HOPE FOR KETREDA

YEARLING BITCH – 4

1ST – CH FANTASA BLU WINTER ROSES – 21 month upstanding female with correct body proportions. Feminine head, dark eye & small ears. Balanced length of neck into good angles front & rear with a well filled forechest. Correct height to length ratio. Level backline held as she moved freely. Nothing over or under done & of good breed type. Bitch Challenge Certificate.

2ND – MEGALMAR THE MOCKINGJAY – She has a strong but feminine head, dark eye & good expression. Balanced length of neck, good angles front & rear just a touch longer in loin. Moved freely.

1ST - AVA VON DER ALTEN FESTUNG AT VICKANGELS – 2 year old upstanding female. Strong but feminine, with bone & substance, just a touch round in eye shape. Correct body proportions, moderate angles & held her backline on the move – no exaggerations.

LIMIT BITCH – 1

1ST - SALONGA LET'S GET WICKED – 2.5 year old female. Balanced feminine girl with a good head, enough neck, deep, long ribcage, moderate angles & held her backline as she moved freely.

OPEN BITCH – 3, 1 ABS

1ST – CH JUFFTHER HAPPY BUNNY JW ShCM – 4 year old female of good breed type. She has a balanced body shape of correct height to length ratio, a strong but feminine head, fair length of neck, good front angles just a touch over angulated behind. She moved freely holding her backline. I shortlisted this female into the last three for the challenge, as I really liked her, but her handler had to keep touching her under the loin, as her rear end kept sinking, to bring her backline up again.

2ND - JEZEVE BACK TO BLACK JW – 3 year old female fraction taller than one. I liked her head & expression, just a touch narrow in front & longer in loin but balanced in body shape with moderate angles. She moved freely holding her backline.
