My sincere thanks to the Officers and committee for their invitation to judge at such a renowned, friendly and welcoming show. Thank you to all the exhibitors who entered such a privilege to judge such an overall quality entry. However I was slightly disappointed to find some incorrect tail shapes and lengths, some exhibits carrying excess weight and exhibits with high tail carriage on the move in both dogs and bitches.

Puppy (8,1) A super quality class, some very promising youngsters, close decision between all placed exhibits.

1st Golder’s Summeramba Jeroboam. 10 mth old dog in good coat, condition and presented well. Kind expression, well balanced head, dark eye and good pigmentation. Scissor bite. Well balanced outline without exaggeration and well boned. Good length of neck, well laid back shoulders and a good length of upper arm. Forelegs were straight, well placed under body, and round feet. Good depth and spring of rib and short coupled. Nicely muscled hind legs, well bent stifles and straight hocks. Level topline and good tailset, carried his tail level on the move. Moved straight and true with a good long free stride. A very happy young boy, full of character and attentive to his handler.

  2nd Hill’s Sandaula This will Do. 9mth old mid gold bitch in good coat and condition. Well balanced head and gentle expression. Dark eye and good pigmentation. Scissor bite. Lovely balanced outline and well boned throughout. Good length of neck, well laid back shoulders and nice length of upper arm. Round feet and straight foreleg. Deep well sprung ribs and short coupled. Straight hocks and well bent stifle without exaggeration. Nice level topline and good tailset. Moved well with a driving stride and held her tail level on the move. Happy, alert and presented well.

Junior (9,2) Another strong class of promising youngsters.

1st Hill’s Sandaula Kiss from a Rose. 9mth old mid gold bitch in good coat and condition. Very well-balanced and symmetrical without any exaggeration. Balanced head and kind expression. Dark eye and good pigmentation. Scissor bite. Excellent bone throughout and well-muscled for her age. Good length of neck. Straight forelegs, placed well under body, close fitting elbows, good length of upper arm and well laid back shoulders. Short coupled, deep well sprung ribs and level topline. Straight hocks and well bent stifles. Moved very well with a long free driving stride and carried her tail level on the move. Caught my eye as soon as she entered the ring, so happy and attentive to her handler who presented her very well. Pleased to award her BOB and BP and pleased to see her shortlisted in a very strong adult group and placed 3rd in puppy group. One to watch in the future.

2nd Birkin Green’s Sansue Keep the Faith. 14 mth old in good pale coat and in good condition. Lovely outline which caught my eye. Kind expression, balanced head and correct bite. Good pigmentation and dark eye. Good length of neck and well placed shoulders. Nice length of upper arm, close fitting elbows and straight forelegs. Short coupled with a good depth and spring of ribs. Well bent stifles and straight hocks. Lovely level topline and good tailset, she carried her tail level on the move. Moved well with drive and free long strides. Handled beautifully. Preferred the type of 1st.

Yearling (10, 3)

1st Booth’s Rocamoka Wind Dreamer. 20 mth old pale bitch in very good coat and condition. Balanced outline and well presented. Balanced head with kind expression, good pigmentation and dark eye. Scissor bite. Good length of neck. Round feet, straight forelegs placed well under body. Well laid back shoulders and good length of upper arm. Well sprung deep ribs and short coupled. Level topline and well set tail. Straight hocks and well bent stifles, without exaggeration. Well boned throughout. Moved with a long, free, driving stride and carried her tail level on the move. Happy and attentive.

1st Birkin Green’s Sansue Keep the Faith.

2nd Mandley’s Millanza Follow Your Dreams to Malqudos. 2 ½ year old pale bitch in good coat and condition. Nicely balanced outline. Well balanced head with a kind expression. Scissor bite. Good pigmentation and dark eye. Good length of neck, straight forelegs and round feet. Nicely laid back shoulders and elbows close fitting. Good depth of rib and well sprung. Level topline. Nicely bent stifles and straight hocks. Moved with a long free, powerful stride. Carried her tail a little too high for my preference but still a bitch of quality.

Open Dog (3, 1)

1st Foreman’s Camestone Field Day at Ambersun. Very handsome 31/2 yr old mid gold dog in lovely coat and condition. Masculine, well chiselled, balanced head with dark eye and good pigmentation. Good length of neck and well laid back shoulders. Elbows close fitting and good length of upper arm. Straight forelegs, placed well under body. Good depth of rib and well sprung. Short coupled with a level topline and good tail set. Hindquarters were strong and muscular with well bent stifles and straight hocks. Moved round the ring very well with a long free driving stride and carried his tail well on the move. Pleased to award him RBOB.

2nd Price’s Elsiegwen Michievous Boy. 2yr old dog with a rich golden coat in lovely condition. Nicely balanced outline, although slightly smaller in stature to 1. Very nicely balance head and kind gentle expression. Good length of neck. Round cat like feet. Short coupled. Level topline and good tailset, carried his tail level on the move. Moved at one with his handler. Would benefit from a little more trimming in certain areas.

2nd Anderson’s Linchael Livia JW. 2yr old bitch in good pale coat and in nice condition. Well balanced head and kind expression. Dark eye and good pigmentation. Good length of neck. Shoulders were well laid back. Good length of upper arm and elbows close fitting. Straight forelegs placed well under her body. Depth and spring of rib was good. Nicely coupled and level topline. Well bent stifles and straight hocks. Her tail was well set and she carried it level on the move. Moved with good drive and a good free stride. Lovely quality bitch but just preferred the overall balance of 1.
