BASENJI

Puppy (1) 1. Savage’s Chagmas Christmas Gypsy Ghost for Axmixa (Imp Nor). 11mth Black/White bitch with pleasing overall outline. She has a good head with excellent dark eye and pigment, ample wrinkle, and correct set ears. She is well muscled with good balance front and rear, and has a high set tail with good curl. She moved with purpose but is still a little loose. BPIB

Junior (2) 1. Hudson’s Tokaji Moon Over Miami with Mutoko. Tri bitch just turned 12 months. She is in excellent condition and has a good outline. Beautiful head with dark eye, small hooded ears, and enough wrinkle. Forelegs straight with excellent, neat padded feet. Her coat is gleaming with very clear demarcation between colours, and plaint skin. Moved straight and true but would like to have seen a firmer topline. 2. Walker’s Orange Fizz Of Swala Pala (Imp Fra). 15th month R/W bitch. Not as confident in the ring. She has a feminine head with good eye and wrinkling. Short coat and pliant skin. She is leggy in outline but I would like to see more depth and fill of chest.

Open (8,2abs) 1. Young’s Vestoid Romulus. 3yr old R/W Dog. What can I say? He is full of ring presence and caught my eye immediately. He is in outstanding condition with a super outline. His head is masculine without being coarse. He has good pigment, dark almond eyes, and well set ears. His coat is short with the correct pliant skin. He is well muscled throughout and has good depth of chest and tuck up. His legs are straight and feet are neat and well-padded. Excellent tailset with good curl. He moves with drive and held his topline. BOB and delighted to learn that he went on to BEST IN SHOW. 2. Savage’s Chagmas Hey Joe Avec Axmixa (imp Nor). 2yr R/W male. A close run contest but he lost out to 1 on topline and slightly lighter pigment. He has a pleasing head with good wrinkling. He is well muscled and angulated throughout. Excellent depth and fill of chest. Moved with purpose and drive. RBOB 3. Rogish & Smith’s Ch Vestoid Sky Yelper. 3yr R/W male. Another lad who is in tip-top condition and could have swapped places with 1 or 2 on any other day. On the day, I preferred the ring presence of 1 and 2.
