Golden Retriever’s

Puppy Dog (1)

1. Morss Olvinglay Soothsayer. Presented in lovely condition and expertly handled, this is a young man who is right where he should be at 8 months of age. He has an attractive but masculine head with dark eyes and good pigmentation. His well placed shoulder produced good front angulation and nice reach of neck and his pleasing outline was enhanced by a level topline and correct tailset. With powerful and well angulated rear quarters he was able to cover the ground with ease and accuracy when on the move and even though he was alone in the class, he fully deserved his 1st place and BP award.

Puppy Bitch (4, 1a)

1. Todd Toddrosa Oasis Charm. At 8 month of age this young girl has an attractive head and soft expression. Her good length of upper arm and correct shoulder position produced a good reach of neck and flowed nicely into a level topline and correct tailset. Sound in overall structure, she produced an attractive outline when stood correctly. Although she challenged for the BP award, she was somewhat unsettled when stood and inaccurate when on the move. Nevertheless, with perseverance she has good potential for future success.

2. Purvis Tonara Primrose. Well presented in a mid-golden coat in good condition. She has an attractive head, good front and rear angulation and overall sound construction. Somewhat fidgety when stood and less than precise when moving, I have no doubt that with continued perseverance she has the conformation and potential to develop well in the future.

3. Pett Rumwood Three Time A Lady.

Junior (7, 3a)

1. Morss Xanthos Futterwacken. This is a maturing and balanced young man with a masculine but attractive head. Well presented in a mid-golden coat, he is substantial in bone and possesses good angulation to the front and rear quarters. He has a good reach of neck, produced from well laid shoulders and once at ease in the ring he maintains a good topline flowing into his correct tailset. His muscular first and second thighs combined with short hocks helped him cover the ground well when on the move.

2. Jones Parlickview Amazing Grace At Roskerry. This is a well balance young girl, with a sweet and feminine expression. Her correct shoulder position, well angulated front and good reach of neck, coupled with a level top line and nicely angled rear quarters, produced a very attractive picture in profile. She covered the ground accurately and with ease when on the move.

3. Hodgson Rikita Jazzeena.

Graduate (7, 2a)

1. Linfield Rosgar Esperanza At Tonara. This is a well balanced young show girl with a sweet feminine expression and good pigmentation. Her correct shoulder position, well angulated front and good reach of neck, coupled with a level top line and well angled rear quarters, produced a very attractive picture. Sound and straight on the move, she covered the ground elegantly. She has what it takes to “catch the eye” and was closely considered in the challenge for BOB & RBB awards, just missing out on maturity.

2. Morss Xanthos Futterwacken.

3. Hodgson Rikita Jazzeena.

  Post Graduate (6,1a)

1. Gaylor Carolake Remember Me JW. A well-balanced, very attractive and feminine show girl who was has a lovely head and sweet expression and was presented in super condition. Her good angulation to front and rear, nice reach of neck and level topline; produce a profile that will always catch the eye. Elegant on the move, her balance and poise ensured that she covered the ground with ease and control. Even though she was pushed hard by 2, she thoroughly deserved her Class win and pushed hard during the challenge to be awarded RBOB.

2. Smith & Hill Serendipity Dog Principe James Con Rosgar JW (IMP ESP). At just under 3 years of age this young man is of a different type to the winner but nevertheless possesses good qualities. Attractive and masculine expression, excellent angulation to front and rear, good reach of neck and a level top line, all of which produces an attractive profile. Precise on the move, he has good head carriage and covers the ground with purpose and accuracy.

3. Stallard Maplerose All Tuckered Out.

Open Dog (2, 1a)

1. Todd Toddrosa Sprinter Sacre. A well presented 3 year old dog in full pale golden coat and in good sound condition. An attractive expression, dark eye and masculine head set on a strong neck. Good spring of rib, short coupled, well angulated and balanced with a correct tailset. Sound on the move he covered the ground with some drive and effort.

Open Bitch (2)

1. Smith & Hill Rosgar Autumnal Bliss. An extremely mature, enthusiastic and happy 4 year old who oozed femininity from tip to toe. She is extremely well balanced and in good hard condition and has an attractive head with a soft expression. Excellent angulation to both front and rear, good reach of neck and a level top line, all of which produces an attractive profile. On the move she displays good head carriage as she covers the ground in an elegant fashion, displaying, drive, poise and purpose and her overall balance was ably assisted by sympathetic and expert handling. A clear winner in this class and although pushed hard by the winner of the Post Graduate class, she full deserved her BOB award.

2. Smith Fiveshill In The Pink At Folderslane. I previously judged this attractive and feminine show girl when she was 17 months of age. She has good front and rear angulation, well positioned shoulders and good reach of neck. Even though her tailset was correct, her topline tended to drop when free stood and she was not in as hard condition as my 1st place in this class. However, she is a nice type of exhibit and her light golden coat was in good condition. She moved OK.

Veteran (3)

1. Linfield Tonara Rio Grande JW ShCM. Just approaching 8 years of age, this dark golden dog was well presented in good condition and performed extremely well on a hot day in the sun. Nicely balanced he has good angulation to both front and rear quarters with strong well position shoulders and nice reach of neck. Strong through the body and loin, he held his topline and combined with a correct tailset he maintained a good outline. Sound and precise on the move, he covered the ground with ease. Although pushed hard by the 2nd place, I was happy he deserved to win a very good veteran class and BOS award.

2. Pounds-Longhurst Grodene Tempestivity To Mossburn. I was really impressed with this feminine, enthusiastic and very active 11 year old. Presented in hard condition, she has a lovely head with a sweet and soft expression and excellent pigmentation for one of her age. Straight front and well laid shoulders with a nice reach of neck. Well sprung ribs and strong loins helped to produce a level topline, which was maintained when she move. She clearly enjoyed her day out and pushed the winner of this class very close.

3. Gray & Hales Hollygold Royal Albert At Grayales.
