DUNDEE CANNINE CLUB 2-06-19 (Tony Fleetwood) Thank you to the committee for allowing me to judge many of the toy breeds at this outside show, the weather on the day consisted of torrential rain in the morning & my thoughts whilst driving to the venue was that it would be cancelled but in true Scottish tradition the sun came out around midday, thanks also to the exhibitors who gave me such a great entry making for an interesting days judging with not many absentees. Presentation was excellent with many quality dogs in attendance, not sure if the rule about not awarding best puppy in breed is to my liking, also many thanks to my capable stewards. Pleased to see my Toy Group winner the Affenpinscher, Darkle Persius @ Ingerdorm going B.I.S. Chinese Crested Special Yearling (1) Absent Chinese Crested Post Grad (3) 2 absent 1st Frame, Elfallons little dragon, 2Yrs, Male, Black/White hairless, fine boned, head cleanly chiselled with tapered muzzle, eyes dark, ears set low with fringe, good scissor bite, hare footed, presented & shown well. Chinese Crested Open (3) 1 absent 1st Frame Elfallons crazy moon, B.O.B, 2Yrs, Bitch, White, hairless, possessing good breed type, head cleanly chiselled, good clean bite, stood with a good outline, nice for size, moved/shown & presented well. 2nd Frame, Myvallo inclined to dance @ Ellfallons, 4Yrs, Bitch, Brown/White another possessing good breed type, sound moving, happy active & outgoing, has all the breed characteristics required, showed well. (nice to see the young handler doing a professional job in this breed) PUG Junior (6) 2 absent 1st Lindsay, Rhodenash dream along with Anjuli, B.O.B, Group 3, 13Mths, Bitch, fawn, Maturing well, compact & Coby body, head large & round with short muzzle, large wide nostrils, no wrinkle over nose, dark eye, small ears, undershot bite, strong leg, movement is free with feet kept directly in front with roll of the hindquarters, good black pigment to nails & nose, high set tail, well Shown & presented. 2nd Cunningham, Moyard eye of the storm, 9mths, Bitch, apricot, not as mature as first but still a puppy, large head, strong straight bone, level top line, high set tail, strong movement with slight roll, coat fine & smooth, correct mouth u/shot. 3rd Lavin Thomson, Teal sapphire gem @ Ellharv. PUG Post Graduate 1st Mullholland, Zobear dolly mixture @ Marillium, Bitch, 2yrs, Fawn, nice Coby girl, with solid square body, dark pigment, correct bite, moved well with slight roll in rear action. 2nd Lavin Thomson, Teal sapphire gem at Ellharv, 10mths, Bitch, fawn, maturing nicely, with everything in place, level top line, square & Coby body, neat tight tail, moved well. 3rd Deans, Sephina queen of diamonds @ uisdean. PUG OPEN (3) 1 Absent 1st Mulholland, Karanastar sir eat alot Marillium, male, 3Yrs,Red,this dog has substance, very masculine, head large but in proportion,small ears, dark eye, strong legs, moved with purpose. 2nd Deans, Divapugs thistle dae fir Uisdean,Black,4yrs,this bitch was not happy today, good to go over on the table but not co-operating on the ground, would like to see her on another day. BICHON S/Y (0) BICHON Post Graduate (1) 1 Absent BICHON Open (1) Absent Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Junior (2) 1st Swanston, Pamojill arran, 6mth, Black & tan, Bitch, nice size, pleasing head flat between ears, dark round eye, cushioned muzzle, good depth & spring of rib, level top line on move. 2nd Gibb Stuart, Over the moon De-Los ursidos Kodiak, Bitch, 13mths, Blenheim/white, Bitch, quality exhibit but not happy today with tail down on the move, dark pigment, good mouth, flat skull well set ears, stood four square. Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Post Graduate (3) 1st Gibb Stuart, Tanglewood Star of the show, Bitch, 13mths, B.O.B, Group 2, Blenheim/white, darkest eye & pigment, flat skull between long ears, neck short slightly arched, free flowing elegant movement, level top line, long straight coat. 2nd Drennan, Calaten star trouper, 3yrs, Blenheim, male, another nice exhibit who was preoccupied with sniffing the grass which spoilt his shape & movement, on the table there was nothing out of place, coat in good condition, stood four square when settled. 3rd Cockburn, Ebonyfields calling carmen. Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Open (3) 1st Drennan, Calaten star trouper. 2nd Caldwell, Kathysgirl jaguar, Black/tan, 4yrs, male, another nice exhibit who showed very well, correct markings tan, moved well, short coupled body, level back, tail in proportion to body. 3rd Cockburn, Dowwnsbank jalopenno of Pamojill. L/C Chihuahua Junior (5) 1 Absent 1st Hunter, Jotolemar happy times, 11mths, fawn sable, bitch, presented in good condition, tail held all the time good outline, stood & moved soundly, pleasing in head, good outline, correct scissor bite, large flared ears, feet small & dainty, coat with good soft texture. 2nd Hunter, Jotolemar our time,11mths, fawn sable, litter sister to class winner with all the same qualities, not as mature as first, I’m sure they will change places under different judges. 3rd Brodie, Hemlee tartan boy. L/C Chihuahua Post graduate (3) 1st Hunter, Jotolemar quality time, 22mths, male, orange with profuse coat, happy outgoing young man who never stopped showing, domed skull with flaring ears, big round eyes, dark pigment, good dentition, unlucky to meet the best of breed. 2nd Sangster, Kirlasidh Angel on ice, 3yrs, bitch, cream sable, not in best coat today, beautiful head, large ears with feathering, correct outline, moved well. 3rd Chalmers, Bonni Lasi Bnacho (IMP). L/C Chihuahua OPEN (4) 1 Absent I found the quality of the L/C very good in all classes. 1st Sangster, Kirlasidh taste of honey, B.O.B, Group 4, bitch fawn sable, head well rounded with defined stop, dark eye & pigment, ears large & flaring, typical Chihuahua expression, tail carried high & over back, feet small & dainty, moved with confidence, Quality exhibit. 2nd Hunter, Jotolemar best of time,22mths, bitch, orange/fawn all these dogs shown by this exhibitor had true breed type, and a very close decision with class winner, showing at all times, neat head which was round & domed, large dark round eyes, short muzzle, good scissor bite, moved with purpose, tail carried high both standing & moving. 3rd Chalmers Bonni lasi irs (IMP) again another quality exhibit. S/C Chihuahua Junior (2) 1st Berwick, Highlands star gazer, BOB tricolour, bitch, 15mths, good breed type, small & dainty, head is rounded & apple domed, short muzzle, large dark round eye, large ears at correct angle, mouth good, level back, moved well with high set tail. 2nd Hinshelwood Muirfauld diamond doll, Red sable, 8mths, just losing out on maturity in this class, lots to like about this girl, S/C Chihuahua Post Grad (3:2) 1st Black, Chinzaes he’s bonzer, 18mths, male, bitch, Chocolate & Tan, nice type & size, neat head which was round & domed, large dark round eyes, short muzzle, good scissor bite, moved with purpose, tail carried high both standing & moving, presented well. S/C Chihuahua Open (1) absent Yorkshire terrier Open No entries Papillon Post Grad (4) 1st Whitehill & Urwin, Paparottsie Blue Moon, 20mths, Male, /white, quality exhibit, nice size, expertly shown & presented, dainty & balanced, alert, finely pointed muzzle, dark pigment, rounded skull, dark round eye, large ears set at correct angle, complete scissor bite, deep chest, good turn of stifle, level top line, moved well. 2nd Macgregor, Sweetbriar the poser 3rd Bogue, Adelays Brilliant Buddy (imp) Papillon Open 1st Wilson, Amicae Badger, BOB, 3yrs, male, /white, quality exhibit, nice size, shown & presented well, dainty & balanced, alert, finely pointed muzzle, dark pigment, rounded skull, dark round eye, large ears set at correct angle, complete scissor bite, deep chest, good turn of stifle, level top line, moved well. 2nd Taylor, Adnamashan Craiglang for Pamhurst, 2yrs, male, 3rd Patrick, Volpecula The early Bird, 3yrs, male. Japanese Chin Post Graduate (4:2) 1st Cockburn, Pamojill Fin, 13mths, Dainty male, Black & white, Elegant & compact in good coat for age, straight movement, slender hare-footed, Head is large with broad skull, level bite, and nose dark & large, promising youngster. 2nd Swanston, Pamojill Bria, 13mths, Bitch, similar qualities to class winner, feminine, square in shape Length of body equal to height at withers, moved well, just preferred the finish of class winner. Japanese Chin Open (5) 1st Lindsay, CH Sleepyhollow Sapphire Diva @ Anjuli, BOB, Dainty quality male, Black & white with long profuse coat, Elegant & compact, head is large with broad skull, eyes large & dark, ears small set wide & high, level bite, dark pigment to nose, square in shape with good length of leg both strong & fine in bone, high set tail. 2nd Lindsay, Anjuli Beryl, 3yrs, Bitch, she has a lovely head with broad skull, wide in chest, well bodied, fine bone with feathering down to feet, coat soft and straight, shown in good condition, precise movement. 3rd Swanston, Rakuchin the Puzzler @ Pamojill. A.V.TOY NSC Open (5:3) 1st Crossley, Havanese, Dyffrynsand Amber Lassy,cream sable, bitch, 18mths, profusely coated bitch, body in good condition, clean head and expression, pleasing overall shape both standing & on the move, Well constructed front, body & hindquarters. 2nd Polson, Italian Greyhound, Solo Avanti Deodora, Black, bitch, 14mths, I found it very difficult to choose between these two good quality class exhibits. Correct in size, pleasing elegant head, dark eyes, dark pigmentation, Rose-shaped well back ears, good outline moving well.
