Bolsover & District Canine Show Sunday 17th November 2019

Many thanks to the secretary and committee for the invitation to judge at this well run show, I found the Golden Retrievers to be well presented, in good condition and moved well on the concrete surface a few high tails on the move and no issues with bites. Labradors were of correct size with little sign of overweight, unfortunately a few of them could have been in a cleaner condition.

10mth old pale bitch, lovely dark pigment, feminine head, correct shoulders, straight front with correct feet, body correct for age, level topline, tail set correct and carried well on the move, moved steady with handler. Best Puppy in Breed

2nd Wright Mr. D, ENIGMAGRAND CAESAR (IMP RUS)

6mth old mid gold boy, good pigment, still very raw, good bone on front, would like to have seen tighter feet and lacking strength in pasterns, short coupled topline level, body rolled on the move, didn’t use tail on the move, not quite at one with the handler today.

Pale gold bitch of nice type, in good coat, pleasing feminine head with correct chiseling, lovely pigment, good shoulders into well placed shoulders, correct front with good bone and correct feet, body correct with ribs deep, elbows close fitting, level topline with well bent stifle good muscle, moved with good drive,

tail carried slightly high today.

2nd Wright Mr. D LADNA PANNA CHICHA NADZIEJA (IMP POL)

Mid gold bitch, head still to develop, front could be better placed, better trimming on feet could make them look neater, level topline held on the move, although handler struggled to keep her looking smooth today.

Quality pale bitch, balanced head with correct chiseling, pleasing eye, lovely pigment, good clean length of neck into well placed shoulders, straight front with correct tight cat like feet, well balanced and short coupled, level topline carried well on the move, rear quarters strong and well-muscled, Hocks well let down, tail level with back and carried correctly, move with drive around the ring. What can I say about this boy caught my eye when he entered the ring, 3 year old in excellent condition, best head of the day, balanced and well chiseled, excellent pigment, with lovely dark eye, front was exceptional with beautiful feet, plenty of bone without being course, long clean strong neck into well laid back shoulders, legs well under body with close fitting elbows, short coupled with deep ribs looking the perfect balance, rear quarters very well-muscled, tail carried straight off the topline, moved perfectly with handler, the perfect picture. 10mth black dog head broad with defined stop, powerful looking, strong neck into good shoulders, good bone and correct feet, chest barreled although slightly heavy which showed on the move, rear correct moved with drive.

2nd Mrs. J Wood, Mattand a million Dreams for Thirlemere

Yellow bitch with less bone than 1, pleasing head, strong neck into well placed shoulders, topline good, correct body with good ribs, rear angulation was good, not as well muscled as 1, moved well with handler.

Black dog of slightly smaller size than 1, pleasing head, broad in skull, strong neck, correct shoulders body of good size, barreled ribs, level topline, rear quarters correct and well-muscled, tail carried and used well.

5 year old black dog, looked every part a boy, strong head, powerful neck into correct shoulders, body correct and not overweight, level topline, barreled chest short coupled, strong rear quarters with good turn of stifle, correct tight feet, moved well with correct tail usage.

3 year old yellow bitch, broad clean skull defined stop, well developed nostrils, clean powerful neck, good shoulders, good front , feet could be tighter, correct body, rear quarters strong with correct turn of stifle, correct tail used well, although she moved a little erratic round the ring.
