Dovey Valley Limited Show 3rd November 2019

Thank you to the Committee for their kind invitation and the exhibitors for their super quality entry!! All were beautifully presented and some of my decisions were very, very close. (Chinese Crested), RBPIS: Walsh’s Arrowflight Starstruck at Bielcee. (Miniature Poodle), BVIS: Mantle’s Rhievalley Black Magic ShCM (Flatcoat Retriever), RBVIS: Plant’s Inkomo Perfect Illusion for Shadann ShCM VW (Newfoundland) all superb well-constructed and very hard to fault in their movement.

AV Minor Puppy Dog (1)

1 Beasley’s Marlyoak Glory of Love (Tibetan Spaniel) 8½ months, good type well-presented showing nice balance with good head and eye, strong body well angled fore and aft, movement free flowing and covering grown easily both away and back.

AV Minor Puppy Bitch

1 Hamer’s Conquell Last Laugh (Pug) 6½ Months and what a little sweetie! Raw but beautifully made and put together, so full of herself has everything in the right place just needs time. Moved effortlessly taking everything in. PG2

1 Webb’s Alolfrana Azzaro Beside Redeshika. (Irish Setter) Super head and eye, lengthy neck clean shoulders. Topline good, well angled back and front covers the ground easily and lovely strong feet.

AV Junior D/B

1 Fleetwood’s Soham Blue Bailey (Cocker Spaniel) Lovely to go over nothing out of place, nice head and carriage lovely dark eye, well angled with strong topline. Good front and rear angulation well bunched feet moved parallel out and back covering the ground with ease. Gundog G1

1 Beasley’s Kierpark Hold Me Now (Whippet) Super head and expression, dark eye, strong throughout good topline and angulation fore and aft, well-muscled covering the ground with ease both out and back.

2 Kitchen’s Ceilmear Wise Man (Bearded Collie)

1 Jones’ Mololwg Lorenzo (GSD) Excels in breed type and a joy to go over has everything in the right place. Good head shape and carriage lovely dark eye. Strong bone all through with good depth, angulation back and front good free movement both out and back covers the ground with ease, absolutely super. RBIS

1 Kempster & Rees Parcauwen Lunar Eclispe with Oolagha. Super 8-month-old, well put together nothing out of place and very typey with good covering. Head of good shape and lovely expression, level topline and well angled fore and aft. Covers the ground effortlessly and true going away and back. Pleased to award this BOB, Toy G2, PG1, BPIS

Pug Post Graduate D/B

1 Hall’s Eastonite Pearly King Super little chap full of himself with so much to like about him. Scores in Head, eye and expression. Well-constructed topline held on move good feet, well-muscled throughout. Moves with purpose BOB & Toy G1

Pug Open D/B

1 Hall’s Sephina The Pickpocket. From larger mould, well made and lovely to go over and movement sound and even both out and back just preferred the head piece and overall balance of previous class winner on the day.

Chihuahua (LC) Open D/B

1 Thomas’ Ffionchi Christmas Candle. Nicely domed head with good ear set and lovely eye. Front and rear assembly well angled with good topline held at all times. Movement true out and back covering the ground well. BOB & Toy G3

AVNSC Toy Post Graduate D/B

1 Thomas’. Loranka’s Dream Time (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel). Well made with lovely eye and expression good head qualities strong in topline well-muscled and is well angled fore and aft. Moves out purposefully although a little close behind.

AVNSC Open D/B

1 Thomas’ Jolainey San Monica (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel). More bone than previous class winner, feminine head with pleasing eye and expression well laid shoulders, level topline and nicely angulated behind. Very typey covered the ground with ease out and back. BOB & Toy G4

1 Mellish’s Wattlewood Silver Arrow to Monbrec Lovely head good planes dark eye and kind expression, lengthy neck, strong topline good angles back and front feet well knuckled. Moves powerfully covering the ground effortlessly. BOB & Gundog G3

Irish Setter Open D/B

1 Webb’s Redeshka Sweet Gypsy Rose Elegant! Good head qualities, correct planes lovely eye and colour. Neck of good length, well laid shoulders, deep chest, strongest of toplines, super rear angulation which is used to full advantage. Feet tight and well off for bone. Covers the ground with purpose. BOB, Gundog G2 Unfortunate to meet the Cocker Spaniel today!

German Short Haired Pointer Open D/B

1 Fry’s Waldburg Indus. Well up to size, beautifully made. Nice head and eye neck for good length, well laid shoulders. Deep chest and good topline held on the move. Correct rear angulation. Well bunched feet. Although covering the ground his movement was a bit erratic, I think he prefers a larger outdoor ring. BOB

Neck lengthy well-constructed angles fore and aft, holding a strong topline and good depth to body. Feet tight, movement clean and free flowing. BOB & Gundog G4

1 Thomas’ Gunalt Sugar Plum at Rhydawell (Weimaraner). Another who was a pleasure to go over, nothing out of place lovely head and eye, lengthy neck shoulders well placed strong topline and super rear. Moves out well, sadly just carry a little too much weight for me today.

1 Evans’ Miristar Just the Way You Are. Full of quality good bone throughout. Balanced both is profile and moving. Well-constructed without exaggeration. Standing on well knuckled feet with good angulation fore and aft and movement both true and sound. Utility G2

1 Hughes & Forrester Indizak Shades of Winter in Candease. Nicely balanced with good breed type. Nice head qualities with kind expression. Overall construction good well angulated fore and aft, lovely feet. Moves confidently and true both out and back BOB& Utility G4

1 Walsh’s Arrowflight Starstruckat Bielcee (Min Poodle). Caught my eye coming into the ring, super in outline and what a joy to go over. Excels in head with lovely eye and colour, strong throughout. Good angles back and front covers the ground with ease both movement sound and true BOB, BP, Utility G1 & Utility PG1, RBPIS

1 Connor’s Penymorfa Surubaya Sun of Ringablok (French Bulldog).Super little girl, has good breed type lots to like. Lovely head and expression, ear set good well set body with good bone throughout. Her movement is true and sound both out and back covers the ground effortlessly.

1 Connor’s Judeffrey Jovial of Ringablok (French Bulldog). Sire of the winner of the previous class with many of the same attributes lovely to go over well set and compact preferred the movement of his daughter.

1 Cornell’s Felinoak Danny Boy from Bronllys. What a lovely young dog this is. Beautiful head piece and eye colour, strong neck shoulders well laid topline level and held on the move good angulation front and rear well off for bone. Tightly knuckled feet, covers the ground with confidence out and back BOB, BP & Hound G3 & PG 1 (Close considered for RBPIS)

1 Lewis’Gellijams to Russia with Luv Trixhund Appealing head and eye of good shape, with nice expression strong neck forequarters well with good lay of shoulder. Level topline with good bend to stifle. Lovely bunched feet. Moved soundly and true covering the ground. BP & Hound PG2

1 Mathias’ Siouline Gemima of Dapperdax Super quality, well off for bone lovely feminine head and eye of good colour and shape with appealing expression. Hard to fault with level topline and super length to ribbing. 1 Williams Layways Now and Forever. What a lovely girl this is, caught my eye waiting for her ring number. Super elegant outline showing balance and true breed type. Ultra-feminine, excels in head and eye beautiful neck of good length, shoulders well laid, strong topline with excellent angulation front and back. Her movement is smooth and effortless, parallel out and back. Nothing exaggerated, superb!! BOB, Hound G1 & BIS

1 Lewis’ Ravensbeech Raindance at Trixhund (Min Wire Haired Dachshund). My notes say what a little sweetie! Lovely head qualities with good eye shape and colour. Well put together very little to dislike about her. Moves soundly and is full of herself covers the ground well. BOB Hound G2

1 Davies’ Ianteg Pink Porche. Feminine and not exaggerated Nice head and good expression lovely eye. Clean neck and shoulders level topline held on the move. Well angled with both reach and drive covers the ground well BOB, Terrier G3

Lakeland Terrier Open D/B

1 Mathias’ Amadayus Pandora of Dapperdax. Slightly smaller frame than 2, and preferred the clean outline showing good breed type very nice to go over good in front and behind with good topline. Movement free flowing and sound both out and back. BOB Terrier G2

1 Ward Hamar’s Gordens Boy Happy little chap pleasing head qualities with well made body good fore and aft angles moves out well but would prefer a cleaner hind action. BOB, Terrier G4

1 Huseby & Bailey’s Hunter Hawk Clare (Jack Russell Terier). Stood alone but what a super little girl this is. Nothing to dislike and a pleasure to go over. 1 Ogborn & Titman’s Asterel Christian Dior (Estrella Mountain Dog). Nice boy of both size and substance. Beautiful head and eye, is hard to fault well-constructed, angulation fore and aft good movement good would have liked to have seen him in a bigger ring.
