Pointers

Puppy (5)

1st Lowe’s Lowesmoor Half a Sixpence, 7 month old lemon and white bitch, lovely type, super, balanced head, long, clean neck, shoulders well laid back, good angulation, front and rear, moved erratically but she was sound. Beaten for Best Puppy by her brother who was 3rd in Junior, similar remarks apply, he was just a little more together and I preferred his overall shape.

2nd Stokes’ Moenfair Dances the Moon into Guanabara, 6.5 month old B/W masculine dog, raw at the moment but has everything in the right place, lovely type with a balanced head, moved soundly, just needs to settle, which he will.

3rd Anthony’s Jilony Iris

Junior (5)

1st Scholes’ Wilchrimane Tea for Two with Rossglide, 13 month O/W dog, loved him for type, correct head with a well defined stop, correct sloping pasterns, well sprung ribs, short coupled with decent angulation. A little wide in front but a powerful, sound mover. This dog has a lot of style but occasionally the handling does not show this quality to advantage.

2nd Smith’s Sniperay Lord Lambourne via Tzaziki, 17 month Liver and White, old fashioned, upstanding male, true in front and rear, shoulders well laid back, correct topline. One of the best movers of the day, he is so sound and true but I would prefer a little more work in his head, a more defined stop and slightly less of him, but he is a quality youngster.

3rd Lowe’s Lowsmoor Crazy For You. Best Puppy

Post Graduate (7,1)

1st Stokes’ Hawkfield Castaspell over Guanabara JW, Liver/White Bitch, very feminine, balanced throughout, straight forelegs, sloping pasterns, long neck with shoulders laid back, moved soundly, just needs to mature.

2nd Smith’s Sniperay Lord Lambourne via Tzaziki

3rd Anthony’s Jilony Ola

Open (7)

1st Martin’s Sh Ch Sunhouse Cheerio, O/W bitch, a favourite of mine, she has a beautiful Pointer shape, a series of graceful curves, elegant and so feminine throughout. Straight forelegs, her head is so balanced with the darkest of eyes, shoulders well laid back, long, muscular neck, well sprung ribs, lashing tail carriage. She moved soundly with strength, fore and aft. Best of Breed. Gundog Group 3

2nd Martin’s Sunhouse Chips Ahoy, O/W masculine boy, again, has a series of graceful curves, balanced head and kind, dark eye. Straight forelegs and correct slope to pasterns. Good lay back of shoulder, ribs well sprung, moved soundly. Preferred his kennel mate for elegance. Res Best of Breed

3rd Adams’ Millpoint Simply Smashing JW ShCM
