Gravesend & Medway Towns Canine Society

Many thanks to the committee for the invitation to judge Papillons and Shih Tzu at their open show, to my steward for efficient running of my ring and to the exhibitors for the honour of allowing me to judge their dogs. A Huge thank you to Mandy Coupland of Daisymay rosettes for the beautiful rosettes for my Shih Tzu classes, for each class winner, BOB, RBOB & BP that she donated for my appointment, they were beautiful.

Papillons

Junior D/B (3,1abs) 1. Hoskyn’s Inixia Moonlight Shadow, B/W feminine & dainty bitch, nice head slightly rounded between the large well fringed ears, dark rounded eyes, scissor bite, medium length of neck, good lay of shoulder and return of upper arm, good depth of chest and spring of rib, well set tail, straight legs and hare like feet. Moved soundly and showed well. BOB please to see her get Group 4 in the Toy group.

2. Marsden’s Juppee De Pompadour With Finity (Imp) NAF TAF Just a baby of 7 months and not quite settled on the move yet, well grown, with good body, Lovely shape and balance, nice head and dark eye, good ear set and carriage, good length of neck and layback of shoulder, level top line, well set tail, tended to hackney a little today but hopefully he will settle down with age. BPIB pleased to see him get group 4 in the Toy puppy group.

Open D/B (3,2abs) Marsden, Mason & Stanbury’s Inixia Fine Fella 2 ½ year old B/W Male, Nice shape, Dark eye, scissor bite, nice head and ear carriage, fair length of neck and good lay of shoulder, level topline, good depth of chest & spring of rib, good feet and well plumed tail, moved well. Handled beautifully by his young handler. RBOB.

Shih Tzu

Junior D/B (3) 1. Green’s Aizenay Fields Of Gold, 14-month-old G/W dog well balanced throughout, nice head, Large dark eyes giving a soft warm expression, good width of jaw and length of nose, wide nostrils, low set ears, Good length of neck leading into a good layback of shoulder and length of upper arm, good depth of brisket and spring of rib, firm loin, level top line, well set tail carried well on the move. Moved soundly and showed well.

2. Salt’s Keola Tailor Maide 6-month-old B/W Bitch, when stacked and on the move she presented a good outline, feminine head with a dark eye, good width of jaw, Good front and rear angulation, well bodied, with good width throughout, good tail set and carriage, moved and showed well, showing full pads. Beautifully presented. BPIB pleased to see her get group 4 in the Utility Puppy Group.

3. Beer & Tilbe’s Miracey Sand Warrior, Rich Gold & White, boy with a lovely head, dark eye, sweet warm expression and the best mouth here today, well boned, good lay back of shoulder and return of upper arm, good depth of brisket and spring of rib and well presented, good tail set and carriage, only 6 months and still a bit raw, but so much to like about him.

Post Graduate D/B (3,1abs)1. Swift’s Thaisu Jenny Wren At Mattiana, B/M solid gold bitch, feminine, nice balance, pretty head, dark round eyes giving a lovely warm expression, wide jaw, low set ears, Well laid shoulders and a good length of upper arm, good depth of brisket and spring of rib, well ribbed back with a good length of loin, moved and showed well today with good reach and drive showing full pads. RBOB

2. Green’s Aizenay Charmed, Brindle & White bitch, nice head and round dark eyes, good front and depth of brisket, good length of loin, well set tail carried well on the move. Sound on the move and showed well.

Open D/B (3,2abs) 1. Billson’s Shanjora’s Golden Sunset Black masked solid gold, bitch, very feminine and very well balanced throughout, loved her shape and outline standing and on the move, pretty head, lovely dark round eyes, wide jaw, good nose placement with wide nostrils, sweet expression, good length of neck leading into a well laid shoulder and good return of upper arm, good depth of brisket and spring of rib, good firm loin, Level top line, heavily plumed tail with good carriage, moved soundly and showed very well, In beautiful coat condition and well handled, pleased to award her BOB and thrilled to see her get Group 1 in the Utility group.
