It was a pleasure to judge the Utility Breeds & Group at this friendly show. The quality of some of the exhibits was excellent & I was very pleased to see that the BIS judge agreed with my choice of Utility Group winner & gave him BIS the fabulous Tibetan Spaniel, Lilileian Louis Vuitton JW ShCM ShCEX. (Imp Fin) who just got better throughout the day.

Dalmatian

Shame the ring was so small for this breed to really stretch out & move as freely as it should do, quite a few dogs shortened their stride to compensate for the ring size. Overall though I was very pleased with my winners & it would have been nice to have had a puppy class.

Post Grad 6

1st O'Connor's; Dalamanti Diamond Raider; broad masculine head with nice dark eye, moderate stop & good width of muzzle, good length of neck on muscular well laid shoulders with good depth of chest, giving plenty of heart room. Firm back & strong over loin, well-muscled hindquarters with well bent stifle, tight feet, with nice even spotting. Moved out well with easy ground covering gait. BOB 2nd Eden's; Dalens Bethany Char; feminine bitch, lovely head with soft expression, eyes toned with spots. Well laid shoulders just preferred 1st depth of chest & overall body shape. Good rear angulations. Moved well. 3rd Bridge's; Keiradal Moulin Rouge At Akoni; 4th Thorner's; Alphadal's Sweet Dreamer Of Naracoopa; just 6 months. Nice in profile, quite bouncy on move, but settled after a bit. BP & really settled later in Group, enough for group 1

1st Cole's; Keiradal Mel's Destiny; feminine bitch with nice breadth of skull, medium amount of stop & dark oval eyes, good length of neck on well-placed shoulders with well sprung ribs & good depth of chest. Legs parallel when viewed front & rear. Firm topline & well angulated hindquarters, slightly finer build than 2nd but preferred her movement.RBOB 2nd Thorner's; Tolutim Evensong At Naracoopa ShCM; lovely shaped bitch with nice proportions, slightly heavier in build to 1st & not quite so fluid on move. 3rd Eden's; Dalens A Spot Of Trouble JW ShCM

1st Vearncombe & Shale's; Tytorro Paint It Black With Ruption Knightcott JW; Nice compact bitch, square head with large Bat like ears, dark eyes wide apart, broad muzzle with open nostrils, thick powerful neck, muscular well rounded body with nice depth of chest. Well boned legs with small tight feet. Very positive on move. RBOB 2nd Brooks & Cairns; Corursus Under The Ivy JW; compact little bitch, square feminine head with lovely Bat ear shape, broad muzzle with open nostrils, short muscular neck going into well-muscled compact body, well rounded hindquarters, steady on move & pushed 1st hard. Just preferred 1st head & expression. 3rd Watt's; Frabull Nice To See Ya With Estival 4th Membury's; Mitzstaff Tomfoolery; 8 months old, smart puppy with enough body for age. Steady little mover. BP

1st Timms; Eastonite Maui JW ShCM; good solid head with nicely domed forehead & well-defined stop & muzzle with open nostrils, large Bat like ears, strong jaw, powerful neck with good depth of chest, strong cobby body & well-muscled hindquarters with good rear angulations, which showed in his steady movement. BOB & Group 2 2nd Scott's; Amuelle Little Tom Thumb ShCM; very similar comments to 1st apply, but not quite the rear angulation of 1st & therefore not so easy on move.

1st Brooks & Cairns; Corursus The Glamorous Life JW ShCM; feminine bitch, nice square head with nicely domed forehead & dark expressive eyes, well placed Bat ears & defined muzzle, muscular neck on compact body with good depth to chest & well boned legs, muscular hindquarters allowed free flowing movement. 2nd Scott's; Amuelle Little Miss Artemis JW; lovely square head on muscular neck with good depth of chest, shorter in body to 1st & preferred 1st rear angulations. 3rd Timms; Eastonite Moana JW;

1st Marshall's; Arabesque At Devonia (Imp Rus) 15 month male, wedge shaped head with defined stop & dark eyes, clearly defined pencil marks, large ruff on muscular neck, with good forechest & depth of chest, ribs well sprung, firm topline & good rear angulations. Tightly curled tail & large bushy trousers, very positive on move. RBOB 2nd Hill & Watkin's; Whizzkees Silver Spirit; Confident 7-month bitch. Feminine wedge shaped head, defined stop with dark eyes with clearly marked pencil lines, small ivy shaped velvety ears, correct bite & strong under jaw, moderate neck with enough ruff for age, good depth of chest & ribs well sprung, well boned legs & tight well-padded feet. Compact body & tight high set tail, well-muscled hindquarters & thick trousers. Coat off standing with clear harness markings, moved with confident strides. 1st Hill's; Whizzkees Ebony Silver For Plymkees JW ShCM; 5year old bitch & must be reaching her prime. Wedge shaped head, dark almond eyes obliquely set with dark spectacles & pencil markings to small ivy shaped ears. Neck of moderate length with thick ruff, good lay back of shoulder, well sprung ribs & good depth of chest. Short compact body, high set tail tightly curled, muscular hindquarters, parallel when viewed front & rear, tight padded feet with pencil marks on toes. Harsh stand off coat with clear harness markings, loved her brisk effortless movement confident attitude. BOB 2nd Marshall's; Torrikees Made In Heaven At Devonia; soundly made bitch, in good coat, just felt she didn't move out as freely as 1st,

1st Smith's; Dylan Blenkity Kanion (Imp Pol) lovely Parti colour dog shown in beautiful coat, head well rounded giving that lovely chrysanthemum shape, dark eyes with good pigmentation, nice width of muzzle & correct bite, neck in proportion to body with shoulders well laid back, firm topline which was held on move, tail carried over back & muscular hindquarters allowed smooth flowing movement. Tibetan Spaniel

 Really nice class with promising youngsters, had a job to split first three & notice that 1st & 2nd are litter mates very similar. 1st Penny's; Chenrezi Ti Amo; feminine 10-month bitch, slightly domed skull, with defined stop & dark expressive forward facing eyes, good width of muzzle well cushioned, well placed ears, just needs time for feathering to grow. Moderately short neck on well-placed shoulders, well developed fore chest, fore legs wrapping round body, good length of back with good rear angulation, high set tail well plumed, very positive on move. BP & Puppy Group 3 2nd Clover's; Chenrezi No Ordinary Love; masculine version of 1st, had slightly more furnishings & coat a richer gold sable with dark mask, he is slightly more mature at this stage, but preferred 1st very slightly more positive movement & her attitude. But sure they swap places often. 3rd Bevis's; Bruesown Kesiya With Starlance;

1st Quest's; Lilileian Louis Vuitton JW ShCM; Super head very masculine carried proudly, slightly domed skull with neat ears & dark forward facing eyes, slightly defined stop, with well cushioned muzzle, correct bite & good depth to chin, moderately short neck on well placed shoulders, with good fore chest & depth of chest, leg slightly bowed & fitting body with well sprung ribs & firm topline, high set well plumed tail & well muscled hindquarters, hocks well let down, plenty of feathering to feet completed the picture, on the move he was brisk & positive & for me showed lovely breed type, BOB when he came in the group he was alert & again very positive on move. Group 1 & BIS 2nd Smith's; Balgay Ma Beau At Saxina; masculine dog with super head, short muscular neck & well placed shoulders, well sprung ribs & well rounded hindquarters, high set tail well plumed & good foot furnishings, steady on move, just preferred 1st slightly better front. 3rd Hirstwood's; Quintrelle Colour Me Happy ShCM;

Open Bitch 5

1st Bevis's; Balgay Ma Linette Of Starlance JW ShCM; very feminine bitch, slightly domed head, well placed ears, dark eyes forward facing, moderate stop with good muzzle & good depth of chin, medium short neck on well placed shoulders, nice fore chest with good depth of chest, well boned legs, ribs well sprung firm back & good rear angulations, tail high set & well plumed, feet well tasseled. Moved out positively RBOB 2nd Hirstwood's; Quintrelle Colour Me Pretty; pushed 1st hard, had the most expressive face, slightly domed head with dark eyes, slight stop well cushioned muzzle, strong neck going into well laid shoulders, ribs well sprung & good depth chest, firm top line & well rounded hindquarters, well plumed high set tail, parallel all through, very brisk & positive on move but just preferred 1st front. 3rd Quest's; Chenrezi Another Love JW ShCM; dam of 1st & 2nd in puppy,

1st Honeywill's; Tegkei Having A Laugh; feminine young bitch, lovely head developing well, dark eyes & well placed ears with enough ear furnishings for age, black pigmentation to nose & lips, good length of neck & well placed shoulders with chest just reaching elbows, firm compact body with nice height to length ratio, fairly high set tail carried well over back, nice rear angulations, allowed easy movement that won her this class. 2nd Charlesworth's; Tiamastae's Snow Bird; very similar to 1st in general construction, felt 1st had the edge on length of neck & slightly more rear angulation but moved out steady & effortlessly. 3rd William's; Tashis Spirit Tiger Lily Dolkar (Imp Pol) 4th Davies; Balesa A Touch Of Sass; Beautiful puppy just 6 months old, nicely balanced for & aft, very steady little mover. 1st Williams & Terry's; Ch Hurricane Chester Mandala-A Delama At Dolkar (Imp Hun) masculine dog, lovely dark pigmentation & dark eyes, good bite & nice under jaw, plenty of fringing on ears, muscular neck & well placed shoulders, firm body & good rear angulation, quite flashy on move. 2nd Harrison's; Araki Boshay Barney; Beautiful masculine head & fabulous pigmentation all through & very balanced I did prefer this boys more natural shape & overall balance to 1st, but sadly he just didn't move out which was a shame. 3rd Comley-Ross's; Araki Golden Wonder;

1st Jones; Boshanti Lilibelle ShCM; liked this bitch for her overall type & balance, definatly didn't look a Veteran, nothing exaggerated. Feminine head, defined stop & beautiful dark expressive eyes, black pigmentation, well placed ears that had lovely long feathering S, correct bite & good under jaw, elegant neck on well placed shoulders with chest reaching elbows, muscular compact body & tail set high & carried over back, well muscled hindquarters allowed steady ground covering movement, 2nd Dennis's; Boshanti Angelina At Denfast; another lovely bitch of good breed type, again in beautiful coat & moved out well, just preferred 1st softer expression. 1st Smith's; Snowshoes Belle Of The Ball; just over 12 months, lovely wedge shaped head, neat triangular ears, dark almond eyes with well pigmented rims, nose & lips, good length of neck on well-placed shoulders, ribs well sprung & firm hindquarters, coat dense & standing off from body & beautifully clean. Moved positively BOB & Group 4

Litter mates did have a job to split them as both so similar, but today the bitch was just slightly more co-operative with her handler. Shame she was frightened before coming into the group.

1st Woods; Penbro The Duchess; slightly more mature at this stage to her brother, lovely head developing, broad between ears, moderate amount of stop, with lovely dark oval eyes, neck slightly arched & fitting closely into shoulders, nice straight front & good length of rib with firm back, nice rear angulation & neat hocks allowed for steady movement, coat harsh. BOB & BP 2nd Woods & Braithweight's; Penbro Kensington; same comments apply to him as his sister & I think they will swap places many times, today he wanted to race his mum, but still quiet young.

Moved out at just right pace. A really lovely group & I was spoilt for choice. 1st & 2nd could easily have changed places. But there was just something about the winner & I could easily have taken him home.

Veteran 12

Fabulous group of veterans, all still in pristine condition & showing well, a real credit to their respective breeds. I would have loved more 1st as all where worthy of winning this class.

1st Hill's; Plymkees Cool Dude ShCM; Keeshond. 9 year old male. Lovely masculine wedge shaped head, dark eyes with clear pencil marking, neat ivy shaped ears, muscular neck with large ruff, good forechest & shoulders well laid back, ribs well sprung & firm back, clear harness markings & dense coat, high set tail with plenty of furnishings to tail & trousers, well muscled hindquarters with tight feet, allowed for steady, brisk & easy movement.

2nd Quest's; Ch Chenrezi Keeper of Dreams JW ShCM VM; Tibetain Spaniel. 10.5 year old bitch. Beautiful sound bitch, feminine head with lovely expressive dark eyes, medium ears with plenty of feathering, neck strong on well placed shoulders, good fore chest & ribs well sprung with firm top line, strong hindquarters, firm hocks & feet small & neat with lovely furnishings to toes, tail set high & shown at just right pace to show her lovely positive movement.
