Premier Show

Thank you to the hard-working committee for the invite to judge at this Premier Show, it was a lovely friendly show which was held outside, we had good size rings & thank goodness the weather held until after the groups were judged.

 Welsh Corgi: Pembroke

Puppy 1

1st Davies; Ermyn Snazzy Jazzy: 10-month-old male, Foxy head with nice ear placement, correct eye shape, good length of neck & well-placed shoulders, moderate length of back, well boned with good rear angulation. Moved out well BP

Special Yearling 5-1

1st Weddall & Bogue's: Bronabay Illuminations JW: Foxy shaped head with good breadth between ears, with moderate stop, correct eye shape, fairly long neck, shoulders well laid back & elbows closely fitting sides, good length of back, strong bone, allowing free movement.

2nd Webb's: Corland Nighthawk NBT; very nice & balanced in profile but just preferred 1st head shape & ear set, easy movement.

Post Graduate 3-2

1st Weddall & Bogue's: Jahnshaus Sunset Lady At Bronabay; very feminine 2year old bitch, foxy shaped head & appearance, with moderate stop, well set eyes with pricked ears, fairly long neck, shoulders well laid back & closely fitting elbows allowing free movement, Well sprung rib with good depth of chest well let down between forelegs, hindquarters strong & flexible, good bone & well arched feet. A very steady little mover with good driving hind action. BOB

Open 5 1st Jone's; Ceranda Surf's Up; Foxy shaped head with nice amount of breadth between ears, moderate stop, correct eye shape, lovely well pigmented nose & lips, fairly long neck with good fore chest, shoulders well laid back & elbows closely fitting sides, good length of back, strong bone, allowing free movement. 2nd Davies; Ermyn Fly By Night JW; fairly similar comments to 1st & did have a job to split them, but just preferred 1st outline on move,

3rd Webb's; Pemcader Hogans Heroe;

1st James; Bwthyn Hopes And Dreams: just 11 months old, lovely wedge-shaped head, with well placed ears, strong neck & good fore chest, enough bone at this age, back a good length & well bent stifles with nice neat hocks, tail carried low on move, BP

Special Yearling 2

1st Langford's; Caprian Challenger; male of 14 months so just out of puppy & at typical junior stage. But has a very pleasing head of correct proportions, with good length to neck, but just needs to body up a little to complete the picture, won this class on steady movement.

2nd Caul's; Aethwy Winter Wonderland At Rhiwelli; feminine 17-month-old bitch, pleasing wedge-shaped head, nice ear placement, good neck & fore chest, firm back, just wasn’t as easy on move as 1st.

Post Graduate 4-2

1st Langford's; Caprian The Vixen JW; Litter sister to winner of last class, again needs time to body up, but very feminine head with well-placed ears & lovely dark eyes. firm neck & good fore chest developing, back firm & good length, with good rear angulations allowing free movement that won her the class.

2nd Caul's; Aethwy Winter Wonderland At Rhiwelli; 2nd in last class.

1st James & William's; Ch Bwthyn Headliner JW ShCM; nicely matured male with typical foxy shaped head, good width between large erect ears, dark eyes with clearly defined corners & moderate amount of stop, strong under jaw with good pigmentation to lips & nose. Neck well-muscled with good fore chest, good lay back of shoulder & depth of chest, front legs moulded in around body, well sprung rib with strong loin, well angulated hind quarters with strong hocks & plenty of padding to feet. Won this class on his steady, effortless & powerful movement, BOB & Pastoral Group 4

2nd Caul's; Ir Ch Rhiwelli Out Of The Blue; another mature male in good condition, slightly heavier in head but still had foxy shape, with large erect ears, muscular neck on well-defined shoulders, with enough bone to legs. Firm body of good length, with well angulated hindquarters & firm hocks, just not so powerful on move as 1st.

Post Graduate 2

1st Webb & Bates; Rosskaja Show Me The World; just 17 months. Lovely feminine head with broad flat skull, strong muzzle. Almond shaped eyes with black pigmented rims, nose & lips. Thick well-padded ears, correct bite, strong arched neck with shoulders well laid back, medium length of back well sprung ribs & strong over loin, muscled hindquarters & good bone, parallel viewed front & rear with well-padded feet, coat harsh. She moved freely & had good drive. BOB

2nd Webb & Bates; Rosskaja Noor Ol Ain; just 8 months old, lovely happy baby, with pleasing head & dark eyes, ears well padded, moderate length of neck & shoulders in right place for age, back firm & good rear angulation with good tail set. steady on move once settled. BP & Pastoral Puppy Gp 1

1st Webb & Bates; Rosskaja Dancing On Ice; Masculine throughout, nice broad flat skull with good eye placement well pigmented rims, nose & lips, strong muzzle, correct bite. Strong neck well placed shoulders & good depth of chest, well sprung ribs & strong loin, good hind angulations. Hocks well let down with good bone. Coat was harsh, steady movement. But in challenge just didn’t think had the reach of Post Grad.

1st Davies; Porgeloci Lonci (Imp Hun) 17-month Black bitch, feminine head with dark well pigmented mouth, well placed shoulders & firm topline, nice size with cords developing well. steady mover.

Open 3-2

1st Davies; Arminhazi Juhar (Imp Hun) 2.5 year old bitch & presented in beautiful condition, small slightly domed head, dark medium sized eyes with dark pigmented rims, black nose & roof mouth, moderate length of neck & well placed shoulders with elbows closely fitting to body, ribs deep & firm loin, with well-muscled hindquarters tail tight over her back & on move. Coat beautifully corded & in good condition. BOB

1st Jones; Brockbrae September Shadow Over Welsmoor; just 8 months old Male. Has nice flat skull with good breadth between ears that where alert, with dark almond shaped eyes & good length of neck on well-placed shoulders & nice length of back, ample bone for his age, good rear angulation with a good bend of stifle. A little unsettled on move to start with but once settled really showed himself off. Nicely balanced youngster. BP & Pastoral Puppy Gp3

2nd Grant-Parkes; Parabar Paratrooper; just coming up to 4 years. lovely masculine head with dark almond shaped eyes, didn’t want to use his ears today but in they have correct placement, strong neck & well-placed shoulders, with chest reaching elbows, firm back & well angulated hindquarters, firm hocks, just preferred 1st easier gait.

3rd Grant-Parkes; Sizzling June At Parabar; another promising puppy,

1st Grant-Parkes; Parabar Popgun; 4-year-old male, with masculine head nice flat skull that tapered to nose, ears alert, dark almond shaped eyes, correct bite with good under jaw. Neck of moderate length on well-placed shoulders with good depth of chest & well sprung ribs, strong top line & well-muscled hindquarters with good bend of stifle, giving the appearance of a sturdy little working dog which showed when he moved as he covered the ground with effortless striding movement BOB

2nd Grant-Parkes; Ch Parabar Pride; very feminine bitch, with good head & alert expression. Strongly made throughout, with well laid shoulder & good spring of rib with firm top line. Muscular hindquarters & good bend of stifle with neat firm hocks. Balanced on the move with nice tail carriage, just preferred 1st more balanced outline.

Puppy 2

1st Smith's; Roseollie Radiance, Bearded Collie: just 6.5months old, lovely happy puppy, head developing well with dark eyes matching coat colour, good length of neck & correct rib, could do with a tad more body weight but still young, little bouncy on move, but it will come with time. BP

Post Graduate 4

1st Jone's; Roseollie Mr Moonlight At Mollyfleck, Bearded Collie: 22month male, beautifully presented. Lovely masculine broad head, eye colour matching coat. Moderate arch of neck & shoulders well laid back, ribs well sprung & firm loin, well-muscled hindquarters, which showed when he moved allowing lovely free movement.

2nd Jones; Kerjalee Dream Moments At Wenallt, OES; 2-year-old bitch, strong broad head with dark eyes & lovely dark pigmentation, strong muscular neck on well-placed shoulders with good depth of chest, firm back & muscular hindquarters giving that lovely drive action, beautifully groomed & presented.

3rd Smith's; Monarkshyre Maverick, Bearded Collie;

1st Price's; Starvon Xpress Delivery At Coningsbear ShCM, Swedish Vallhund; 7 year old, not showing any signs of age. Male of good breed type, nice masculine wedge-shaped head with good ear set & dark eyes, strong neck & well laid shoulders, with harness markings, good depth chest. Strong back & top line, moderate bend of stifle, well-muscled. Moved well & an easy winner of this class. BOB

2nd Bailey's; Bryndingo Bendigeidfran, Australian Cattle Dog: 3 year old of super type, masculine head & well placed ears, muscular neck & forequarters with good lay back of shoulder, firm body & muscular hindquarters, unfortunately just didn’t want to move out today.

Puppy

1st Dean's; Asterel Coco Chanel, Estrela Mountain Dog: 10 month bitch who is so feminine. Lovely broad head developing with nice dark oval eye, correct bite with good under jaw. Muscular neck on moderately sloping shoulders with good depth of chest with well-placed shoulders & good length of rib, well-muscled throughout & of good size giving a balanced overall picture. Very steady on move BP & Pastoral Puppy Gr 2 just didn’t put a foot wrong.

Veteran;

1st James; Kerman Copyright Of Sturtmoor, Cardigan Corgi; 8 year old bitch, Very feminine, nice head with good width between her large ears, eyes alert & scissor bite with strong under jaw. Good body length to height on strongly boned tight feet. Well-muscled throughout. Won this class on her sound & steady movement.

2nd Weedall & Bogue's; Ch Bronabay Troopin The Colour. Pembroke Corgi; Alert at all times & showed himself off. Good strong head & moderate stop correct scissor bite. Nice shape eye, fairly long neck on well laid shoulders, good depth of chest & short straight legs with tight feet. Good length of body well sprung rib. Well-muscled hindquarters, just not as fluid on move as 1st.

A really lovely strong group.

1st . Geddes; Ingledene Spirit Of Ecstasy, Rough Collie: Feminine head & nice almond shape eye, correct bite. Well arched neck, shoulders well laid back with good length of back & slight rise over loin. Presented in lovely fit condition & her movement was elegant & steady which won her the group. Pleased that the BIS Judge awarded her RBIS for 2nd day.

2nd Milligan & Marley's; Jotars Lies And Deceit For Alfsden, ASD; Really lovely breed type, & pushed 1st very hard. Preferred 1st steady movement today.

3rd Gamble's; Solyric Inaugural Gold JW, Shetland Sheepdog

4th James & William's; Ch Bwthyn Headliner JW ShCM; Cardigan Corgi.
