CHINESE CHOW CLUB OPEN SHOW 3/2/19
My thanks to the Officers and Committee for the opportunity to judge at this well run show, the stewards who kept things running so smoothly, and especially to all the exhibitors for giving the opportunity to go over their lovely dogs.
Minor Puppy Dog
1st Southgate’s Santicana Cookies and Cream, Cream Square baby with fair neck and well set tail . Broad top skull and nicely padded muzzle, well set, thick ears and promising pigment. Well made body with good shoulders and well made hindquarters. Moved very well going away but a little narrow coming towards as he still has to develop a little in rib.
Puppy Dog
1st. Hollies & Carr’s Janqbu Valentino Red. Very pleasing square outline and lovely expression from well placed ears , clean eyes , nicely padded, well proportioned muzzle and good width of top-skull. Nicely arched strong neck, good width and depth to rib cage, short couplings and good front and rear quarters. Moved well both ways with a free, short striding side action. BPD BPIS
2nd Lindsey’s Janqbu Laing Shanbu Red Another lovely puppy with fair outline and well balanced head, nice eye and good ears and pigment, but not quite the depth of expression of 1st. as yet. Well made body with good rib cage and bone and strong hindquarters. Dense coat, and good action on the move, whilst not as polished as 1st.

Junior Dog
1st. Irwing’s Hilltoppride Kingman at Beaconpride. Cream. Good topline and well carried tail with strong neck. Broad flat top skull, clean eyes, well shaped ears and fair pigment. Good shoulders although he could have a longer upper arm, nice short couplings, and fair width to rib cage. Good dense coat, he moved quite well coming and in profile and well enough going away.
Novice Dog
1st Grainger’s Emjaques The Last Emperor. Cream. Square outline with good neck and high tail set . Broad top skull, clean eyes, nicely set thick ears, and balanced padded muzzle. Nice bone, fair rib cage, short coupled with strong hindquarters. Dense coarse coat and moved well going away and in profile.

Post Grad Dog
1st. Foster’s Shasadee’s Lotties Lad at Setrof. Red. Good square outline with nice head carriage and tail set. Good width to flat topskull, good ears, clean eyes and good pigment. Good shoulders and upper arm but could be a little broader in front. Coarse dense coat. He could have done with a little less drive on the move.

1st. Jakeman’s Tanlap Tarron. Black. Compact square outline with well-carried head and tail. Good flat top-skull well padded balanced muzzle, strong pigment, thick, well tilted ears and clean eyes giving a very typical expression. Good shoulders and front, pleasing bone and short couplings, with slightly angulated hind quarters. Dense, coarse coat and excellent profile on the move with free, short striding action. BD BIS
2nd Pyne’s Monanika De Ja Vu Red Good topline and neck with well carried tail but a little longer cast than the winner. Broad flat top-skull and well padded muzzle with nice shape to ears and fair pigment. Good bone and rib cage whilst a little long in loin. Good texture to dense coat and moved quite well.
Open Dog
1st Sweeney’s Chowetha Colour Me Red Red Quite square in outline with well carried head. Broad top-skull, thick well set ears, clean eyes and balanced, padded muzzle with good pigment. Nice build and bone, with strong neck and level topline. Good coat texture and density. Moved away quite well, whilst using a little more drive than needed in profile.

2nd Cole’s Its My Love Keen on You ( RUS IMP) Black . Compact, square outline with good neck and well carried tail . Well padded muzzle and thick well set ears, good pigment and clean eyes giving pleasing expression. Nicely made with slightly angulated hindquarters and good bone. Not quite as well of as 1st for rib and his front action was less accurate but he moved away well and had a good side gait. Res BD, Res BIS

1st. Lindsey’s Janqbu Laing Shanbu
2nd Shmores Moywan Hamal D Red . Profuse coat of coarse texture, strong neck and well set tail. Broad flat top-skull with thick, firm ears and fair pigment. Nicely proportioned outline with nice hind quarters but a little narrow in front which made him a little untidy in front action. Moved away well.

1st. Cole’s Kobomika Once Upon A Time. Black. Compact square outline with nicely arched neck and high set, well-carried tail. Good width to head with well balanced padded muzzle, clean eye and well-set thick ears. Well made in body with good front and hind angulation and short couplings, whilst still to develop a little in rib. Very accurate coming and going whilst as yet still a little close. Pleasing side gait and good coat. BPB BOSPIS

1st Alekseenko- Simpson’s Valtinchows Chosen Miracle. Red. Nice outline with good neck and tail carriage. Lovely expressive head with clean eyes, firm well set ears, well padded muzzle and fair pigment. Good build to body with strong topline and bone and moderate angles front and rear. Moved with a good profile when settled and came towards well.
2nd Sweeeney’s Chowetha Little Miss Izumi Red Pleasing squarely made puppy with arched neck and high-set tail. Good width to top-skull, clean eyes, thick well set ears and good pigment but not the depth of expression of 1st. as yet for me.
Well made body with good front and hind quarters and strong bone. Moved well.
Junior Bitch
1st. King’s Shulian Shimmering Star at Kweichow Red Square over all with nicely arched strong neck and high set tail. Broad head with moderate stop, good pigment clean eyes and well tilted thick ears. Sturdy build with good
forequarters and bone , good rib cage, strong loin and slightly angulated hindquarters. Harsh dense coat and she moved very well coming and going with a free, moderate side action. BB BOSIS
2nd Pickering’s Rendel Razzle Dazzle. Red. Lots to like with good neck and tail set. Good width to top-skull, clean eyes, nicely set ears and fair pigment, but not the depth of expression of my winner for me. Sturdy build, with good bone and coarse, dense coat. Moved well going and coming and kept a typical profile going round.
Novice Bitch
1st Hughes’ Chowetha Rose Gold at Xingbao. Red. Pleasing outline, with good neck and tail carriage but not quite as compact as my winner in the challenge. Good width to top-skull, pleasing tilt to thick ears, good pigment and lovely expressive eyes. Strong build and bone with moderate angles, nice rib cage and short couplings. Dense coat and moved well coming, going and in profile. Res BB

1st.Evans’ Sawsee Sharaz Avec Simcha. Red. Quite square in outline with good head carriage and high tail set. Nice width to head with good stop, well tilted, thick ears, fair pigment and clean expressive eye. Well made body with good bone, nice rib cage and dense coat. Moved well coming going and in profile.
2nd Southgates Santica Princess Tiana. Black. Level topline and high set tail. Well-padded muzzle and thick well shaped ears, good pigment, but not matching the expression of my winner. Fair bone and slightly angulated hindquarters. Lacked a little in rib and so moved rather close in front but went away quite well and with a nice side gait.

1st Hughes Xingbao Midnight Magic. Black. Compact square outline with good neck and high set tail. Broad top-skull, well balanced padded muzzle, thick ears, clean eyes and good pigment. Sturdy build, with good bone, nice rib cage, strong loin, and slightly angulated hindquarters. Moved well coming going and in profile.

1st. Jenkins Janqbu Sally Salsa. Red. Strong neck , level topline and high set tail. Broad top skull and thick ears, with well padded muzzle and fair pigment but a little too much work in the head for me. Strong build and bone and moved quite well coming, going and in profile.

1st. Dragon’s Janqbu Kiyo Our Sweet Dragon Fawn
Nice overall outline with good neck and high set tail. Thick, well tilted ears, gentle stop and padded muzzle with fair pigment. Strong build and bone, slight angulation to hindquarters, and dense coarse coat. She moved with a nice side profile but a little close coming and going.
