Camborne and Redruth Canine Society

Thank you to CRCS for the invite to judge. A pleasant journey down, and excellent overnight stay before judging day. Some real quality dogs on show, and some promising youngsters. Hosting was top notch as we’d expect from Lindsay and the team. Thank you to all exhibitors who showed under me.

Irish Setter 

Puppy (Entries:1 Absent: 0)

1 Colemans Clonageera Irish Dream. 7 month old bitch. Rear and front movement to settle. Beautiful head piece, and good eye shape with correct expression Well set shoulders. Good rib and loin. Nice angles. Good tail set. Moves with good freedom in profile. BPIB.  

Graduate (E: 3 A:0)

1 Roberts Jetsetter Cristalle to Polmennor JW (Imp Rus). 18 month bitch. Lovely free movement in profile, little cross legged in away. Pleasing head not overdone and feminine throughout. Lovely body. RBOB.  

2. Watts, Polmennor Tom Bawcock. 3 yr old Dog,ok through the shoulders. Nice head and expression. Just not the movement of 

3. Woodham’s Thenandra Dua Lipa at Tykkidyw. 

Open Dog (E: 2 A: 0)

1. Roberts and Cormack, Sangarah Shared Romance with Polmennor (Imp Hun). 4yr old Male of good standing, pleasing head, good eye and expression. Nice set through the shoulders. Good bone. Best front of the class. Good rear end. Little spooked at first, but soon settled. 

2. Watts, Anlory Ben Nevis. 6yr old male expression. Little upright in shoulders. Good middle piece, Tailset tad low. Bit lacking in reach and drive for me today. 

Open Bitch (E: 2 A: 0)

1. Coleman’s Devacott Rose Creek. 2 yo bitch. Bitch of great moving abilities, moves true on the away and back. Super head of feminine expression. Good front and lay of shoulders. Nice top line held on the move. True rear angular ion. Good tailset. Shown in immaculate coat condition. BOB. 

2. Roberts Polmennor For Fun. 9 yr old bitch. Lovely old lady. Little more refined in head, and not the front qualities of one. Free moving in profile, but not o true on the away and back. Good coat. 

Cocker Spaniel 

Puppy. (E: 3 A: 0)

1 Meakers, Kalispell Calamity Jane at Meakwood. Beautiful head and expression. Correct fluting through the head. Nice lay of shoulders. Good head fore chest. Beautiful spring of rib. Great tailset. Sound on the move. BOB BP.

2 Miller’s Eddewarren Temptress. Black bitch. Beautiful head and expression. Good forechest. Nice ribs, just not the spring of 1. Lovely loin. Just not as settled on the move as 1. But show a lot of promise for the future. 

3. Each, Cachel Ask for Me at Kernowlowena 

Graduate (E: 2 A: 0)

1. Meakers, Meakwood Precious Peal. Free moving bitch of good quality. Good expression and fluting through the head. Lovely lay of shoulder, correct front and middle piece. Nice spring of rib. Good loin. Good rear angles. Nice tailset on the move. RBOB. 

2. Smith’s, Meakwood East N Rose. 19month. Nice mover on the profile, little out on the away and back. Just not the shape of one, pleasing expression. Good tailset. 

Limit (E: 1 A: 0 )

1. Meakers Charbonnel East N Promise at Meakwood. 4yr old bitch. Lovely head an expression. Good lay of shoulders. Nice middle piece. Good loin length. Correct angulation on rear. Good tailset. Little lively on the move bless her not giving her best advantage.  

Open (E: 2 A: 0)

1 . Couch’s Caenriver Busy Bee. 2 yr old bitch. Head of better build than 2n. Nice free moving on the away and back and in profile. Good lay of shoulders. Good rib. Nice loin. Beautiful tailset which is carried to advantage on the move. 

2. Meakers, Meakwood Precious Moments. 5yr old bitch. Not the head of winner, but beautiful deep expression. Lovely forechest. Just little longer in length than body. Good rear angles. Not so true on the away and back as winner. But beautiful in profile.  

Flatcoated Retriever

Post Graduate (E: 3 A: 1)

1. May’s Lussac Winter Witch. 8.5month old bitch. Still young and a lot to mature. But beautiful expression and head piece. Lovely neck and into a good lay of shoulders. Correct front. Nice in the middle piece. Good rear angles. Still to strengthen on away and back, but shows herself to advantage on the profile move at this age. BP. 

2. Cooves, Draketor Dartmoor Mist. Lovely bitch. Just carries topline with a little dip within it. Nice front. Good head and expression. Tail carries a little high.

Open (E: 3 A: 1)

1. Cooves, Draketor Sea Shanty. Lovely dog. Expression and eyes. Lovely head piece. Good lay of shoulders which are not over extended in anyway. Beautiful front. Good topline. Free moving. Good rear quarters. Good on the away and back. BOB. 

2. Kidd’s Draketor Sea Sprite at Tregreenwell. 5 yr old. Lovely head and expression. Good front. Just doesn’t carry topline to best advantage on the move. Good rear quarters. Tail carries little high. RBOB. 

English Springer Spaniel

Graduate (E: 1 A: 0)

1. White’s, Peasblossom Xenon. 10.5m dog. Beautiful head piece and expression. Nice deep eye. Good lay of shoulders. Good front and forechest. Good rib and middle piece. Little sharp in rear angulation. Good tailset. Well let down hocks. Moves with spring and excitement, but will undoubtedly settle with age. BOB and BP.
