THE BERNESE MOUNTAIN DOG CLUB OF WALES

17 AUGUST 2019

VD 2(1)

1. Round’s Ch. Collansues Black Magic. 8 year old male, clean but strong head, good eye, absolutely parallel throughout, balanced angulation front and rear, shown in good coat, correct bone. When he moved out he covered plenty of ground in profile.

MPD 2(0)

1. Bird’s Cullumbern Milano. Nice 8 month old male, good angulation front and rear, level top-line, correct overall proportions, good bone, correct depth of chest, parallel ground covering gait, front will tighten up with maturity, BPD & BPIS.

2. Hughes’ Sully. Nice 6 month old puppy, very much up behind on the day but correct head planes and good dark eye, good bone, correct coat, overall conformation will come together in due course.

PD 5(2)

Points to commend both dogs but I just preferred the movement of number 1 on the out and back.

1. King/Green/Dedman’s Parwizz Vom Durrbachler Wald at Arvella (imp NLD) TAF. As much back length as I would like but well angulated front and rear, good masculine head, correct bone and good gait when viewed in profile.

2. Bridges’ Kernow Easy Rider. Good head and expression, correct reach of neck, good depth of chest and good overall proportions, just untidy on the going away movement.

3. Hughes’ Sully.

JD 3(1)

1. Miles’ Jaybiem Modus Operandi JW. Very nice example of the breed, excellent overall proportions, correct bone, good feet, level top-line and easy ground covering parallel gait, good coat, RBD.

2. Round’s Collansues Wildest Dreams. As much length in the muzzle as I would like but good overall proportions, strong bone, easy on the move, a level top-line and another nice prospect.

SYD 4(2)

1. Bridges’ Kernow Troublue. Nice example of the breed, 20 months old, correct overall proportions, level top-line, excellent angulation, good feet and pasterns, nice masculine head, good dark eye, correct coat, well handled and presented.

2. Round’s Collansues Wildest Dreams.

PGD 2(0)

1. Perks’ Kernow Festival Buzz ShCM. As much back length as I would like but won the class on his superior movement when viewed from behind. Balanced angulation, good top-line, easy ground covering gait.

2. Marshall’s Matthew Puchate Perly of Bernannan (imp Pol). This exhibit can tend to stand a little bit too square when viewed from the side but in actual fact has the correct overall proportions. Good angulation front and rear and an easy gait.

LD 6(1)

1. Bridges’ Kernow Troubadour JW. Excellent angulation, strong top-line, typical head and expression, good reach of neck, powerful shoulders, good feet and pasterns, correct croup, tail-set and carriage, absolutely sound on the move, BD & BIS.

2. King/Green’s Joseph Vom Durrbachler Wald at Arvella JW (imp NLD). Good overall proportions, strong top-line, balanced angulation but not quite the easy ground covering gait of 1. Well handled and presented.

3. Wort’s Bernfawr In Demand at Glorybern.

OD 4(1)

1. Griffiths’ Jaybiem With N’Without Y’Zeus JW. Good head and expression, as much back length as I would like but balanced angulation and won the class on his parallel ground covering gait.

2. Hughes’ Ch. Waldershelf Causing Kaos ShCM. Balanced angulation, level top-line, good croup, nice dark eye but untidy on the out and back.

3. Green’s Matthias Vom Durrbachler Wald at Waldershelf JW (imp NLD).

MPB 2(1)

Two very nice minor puppies but by the narrowest of margins the 1st placed was just a little more together on the out and back on the day.

1. Head’s Cullumbern Valencia Millermead. Good head and expression, correct bone, good top-line, easy gait, good puppy coat.

2. Morgan’s Judabern Lucky Lou. 7 month old youngster, excellent angulation, lovely feminine head, level top-line, nice prospect when she comes together a little more.

PB 4(0)

1. Wright/Kirk’s Objet D’Art Du Hameau De Baika Avec Roesilbern (imp FRA), won the class on her tidy movement, strong top-line, good bone, correct feet and pasterns, as much back length as I prefer but this may balance with further growth, BPB.

2. Bridges’ Kernow Easy Peasy. A good prospect but a little on edge on the day, good overall proportions, nice feminine head, a touch untidy moving away but this will come together.

3. Riseborough’s Malindibeach Serenade at Moonbach.

JB 3(0)

1. Miles’ Jaybiem Alia Iacta Est. Nice example of the breed, excellent front, good shoulder, strong top-line, shown in excellent coat and condition, easy ground covering gait, RBB.

2. Best’s Tamarbern Tia Mkira Abjess. A nice bitch with good angulation, again with as much length as you would like, but with maturity and a little more condition she will do well.

3. Hill/Nunn’s Santala I have A Dream of Chyburne.

SYB 3(0)

1. Sutton/Davenport-Willis’ Nelstephbern Dior Foreva. Two very nice examples of the breed, just preferred the head and general condition of 1. Excellent angulation, good top-line, smooth ground covering gait, BB & RBIS.

2. Bridges’ Kernow Rock Legacy. Another lovely bitch with good angulation, nice overall proportions but I would like a little more condition, shown in good coat.

3. Best’s Tamarbern Tia Mkira Abjess.

PGB 7(4)

1. Baker’s Bernfawr Just My Luck. Balanced angulation, nice bone, good feet and pasterns, good feminine head, nice dark eye, good ground covering gait.

2. Morgan’s Judabern Graceful Lady. A well angulated bitch with a good top-line, nice shoulder, good croup, tail-set and carriage, just preferred the movement of 1.

3. Perks’ Bernfawr Hot Spice.

LB 11(9)

1. Baker’s Tinland Molly Malone. Nice bitch and good overall proportions, well angulated, strong level top-line, correct bone, nice easy gait.

2. King/Brambles’ Shirdees Miss Congeniality JW. Another nice bitch, plenty of back length but good head and expression, good top-line, correct croup, tail-set and carriage.

OB 7(4)

1. Morgan’s Welshbern Sweet Lady at Judabern. A very nice 6 year old bitch with excellent angulation and lovely movement. Stood 4 square and moved to advantage.

2. Bridges’ Kernow All My Loving. Another nice example of the breed but when free-standing tended to stand a little bit at 10 to 2. Good head and expression, easy ground covering gait.

3. Miles’ Ch Jaybiem My My My JW.
