PREMIER OPEN SHOW LABRADORS

Thankyou to the officers and committee for inviting me to judge labradors at the above show. Thank you to the exhibitors who gave me a fantastic entry, sadly a large number absent on the day. I had two incorrect bites. I was pleased with my class winners.

PUPPY DOG: (2, 2ABS)

JUNIOR DOG: (5, 3ABS) 1ST SMITH FLYENPIG PORKY PIG 14 month yellow. Good in head. Decent length of neck leading to a level top line held on the move. Strong in body, well boned legs and tight feet. Moved well. 2ND STEVENSON ISAIKI ANOUK AMANDE KAESSY Exhuberant 13 month old. Pleasing in head and body. Moved well when settled.

POST GRADUATE DOG: (4, 2ABS) 1ST RAWLINSON AND BALSHAW HALSHIMOOR PITCH BATTLE AT SHANORRELL J.W. Lovely pale yellow. Good head with kind expression. Strong neck leading to a level top line and otter tail. Deep in chest. Well sprung rib. Good front and rear angles. Plenty of bone. In full coat. Moved well to take RBOB. 2ND MARKHAM STMAKAJO BOBA FETT Another nice yellow with a good head. Slightly shorter in body to first. Moved ok.

LIMIT DOG: (3, 1ABS) 1ST THOMPSON MEADOWLINE MI CHICO Lovely yellow. Good head with correct eye shape and colour giving soft expression. Well developed forechest. Straight front standing on tight feet. Deep in body. Lovely otter tail. In good coat. Moved well. 2ND MARKHAM STMAKAJO BOBA FETT as post graduate.

OPEN DOG: (3, 2ABS) 1ST COLLINS KASPAIR NOW OR NEVER 8 year old yellow. Strong head, good reach of neck leading to a good top line. Strong bone, good in body. In good coat. Felt he was carrying a little excess weight on the day and could have had a bit more muscle tone on his back end. Moved ok.

PUPPY BITCH: (7, 5ABS) 1ST ENNIS-HOLDEN AND BARON MARIANK VANITY FAIR Yellow with good head. A little narrow in front. Correct top line and tail set. Good turn of stifle, well let down hocks. Moves a little close behind. BP 2ND BAKER SILVERBRIAR ROWENA Black of nice type. Good in front and bone. Still to strengthen in top line. Moved ok

JUNIOR BITCH: (9, 3ABS) 1ST LONG CARPENNY PHEYA Really liked this black bitch. Good in head with lovely expression. Strong straight front with good bone. Pleasing reach of neck leading to a strong top line and correct otter tail. Good turn of stifle. Sadly just starting to lose her coat which cost her in the challenge for best bitch. 2ND BRUCE AND JOHNSON CRICKLECREEK CHRISNEY OF TEAZLEDOWN Another pleasing black bitch and similar remarks apply. Not as deep in forechest as first. Another good mover. 3RD O’NEILL RAMSAYVILLE TALI

POST GRADUATE BITCH: (14, 8ABS) 1ST THOMPSON MEADOWLINE MAY MIST Lovely yellow bitch. Kind in head with correctly placed ears, kind eye and correct scissor bite. Strong neck leading to a good top line. Deep in chest, correct barrel rib. Strong thighs. Moved well with drive. In good double coat. 2ND COLLINS CARROMER WORTH A GLANCE AT KASPAIR A pleasing yellow with nice head. Slightly lighter in eye than I would prefer. Overall, good in front, top line and tail set. Good bone. Correct movement. 3RD ARTINGSTALL HIGHTREVORON FORGET ME NOT

LIMIT BITCH: (7, 4ABS) 1ST PARR STONEAVON MINNIE THE MOOCHER Sh CM Really fell for this chocolate. Feminine head with the softest expression. Uses her ears well. Correct length of muzzle and scissor bite. Strong neck leading to a level top line and correct otter tail. Good width and depth of chest. Barrel rib. Correct front and rear angulations, tight feet. In beautiful rich chocolate coloured full coat. Moved steadily with drive. BB and BOB 2ND RAWLINSON AND BALSHAW HALSHIMOOR PITCH PERFECT WITH SHANNORRELL Liked this yellow bitch. Another of overall good type. Slightly longer in body than first. Moved well and in full coat. 3RD NEWTON MEADOWLINE MAD ABOUT YOU FOR RALYVILLE

OPEN BITCH: (10, 5ABS) 1ST ARTINGSTALL HIGHTREVORON TEA FOR TWO Yellow with a good head, strong neck. Correct fore chest. Deep through the rib cage. Otter tail. Good bone and feet. In good coat. Moved well. 2ND NEWTON MEADOWLINE MARIABELLA FOR RALYVILLE Pleasing type with good head and front. Similar remarks as above apply to this bitch, just not as good in coat as 1. Another who moves well. 3RD O’NEILL RAMSAYVILLE TALI
