Thank you to the Officers and Committee for inviting me to judge at this well run show at a new venue. Thank you to my steward Bruce Carter and to the exhibitors for their entry.


Retriever (Flat Coated)

J (1) 1 Bright’s Hopevalley Morning Twister, 17 month dog with nicely moulded head, alert dark eyes, strong jaw, large nose. Good lay of shoulders, body still to fill in, good width of thigh, in good glossy coat, correct tail set, moves well.   


PG (3) 1 Carter’s  Lizzlog Top Totty, 2 year old bitch, classic head with slight stop, long muzzle, strong jaw, expressive dark eyes, correct ear set, straight front, good depth of chest, sufficient bone, level topline, moderate bend of stifle. In good coat. Moves freely striding out positively. BOB. 2 Bright’s Hope Valley Morning Twister, 3 Beeson’s Esined Pandora

O (1) 1 Phipps Baker & Baker’s Gemswin Dennis The Menace At Maddouse, 9 year old dog with strong masculine head, good lay of shoulders, depth to chest, well ribbed up with good bone overall, moderate bend of stifle, wide thighs, moves quite well, just preferred movement of the PG winner, RBOB.


Pointer

J (3) 1 Ovel’s Jimaura I’m for Caroline, Appealing young B/W bitch, with a lovely classic head, defined stop, expressive eyes, slight dishfaced appearance. Well developed lips. Long muscular neck, straight front, good depth of rib, neat and compact in profile, good expanse of thigh and hocks well let down. In good coat. Smooth relaxed movement with good rear drive. RBOB

2 Ovel’s Jimaura Dancing Queen, litter sister to 1, feminine head similar to one, with soft expression, good length of neck, straight in front, good spring of rib, short loin, good width of thigh. Moves very well. 3 Roberts’ Fanmatrix Midnight’s Dream

PG (4,1a) 1 Ovel’s Jimaura Bandido, 13 month b/w dog with masculine head of good proportions, into good length of neck, shoulders well laid. Good spring of rib into short loin, well turned stifles, balanced overall with good bone. Moves well. 2 Ram’s Dacan Sharp Spear, 2 year old B/W dog, masculine head of good proportions, good length of neck in sloping shoulders, brisket well let down, strong lean body, good bend of stifle, hocks well let down, Moves okay, preferred movement of 1 on the day. 3 Robert’s Fanmatrix Roll Tiger Roll

O (4, 2a) 1 Bird’s Medogold Burn Baby Burn At Vinepoint, quality L/W dog with strong masculine head of good shape, pronounced stop, hazel eyes, correct ear set, strong muzzle slightly concave, well developed nose. Long strong neck, Good front assembly. Slope to pasterns. Deep brisket, strong short coupled body. Width of thigh and hocks well let down. Well boned and muscular throughout. Fine short coat. Moves stylishly with forward reach and drive. Balanced overall, with appearance of strength and grace. BOB.

2. Ovel’s Plungevale Queen Of Hearts at Jimaura, 3 year old B/W bitch. Classic head of good proportions, soft expressive dark eyes, deep muzzle, well developed flews. Long muscular neck, good lay of shoulders, depth of chest and ribs well sprung, strong short coupled body, long strong thighs, hocks well let down, good tail set. Moves very well. Just preferred the young junior winner in the challenge for reserve. .
