Huge thanks to the committee for inviting me to judge your impressive and historic breed. A very well run show, with great thanks to my stewards, having a happy atmosphere despite the rain. Thank you all for allowing me the pleasure of going over your gorgeous Mastiffs, the most obvious quality being their joyous character. 

CLASS 1 VETERAN DOG/BITCH (3) 1.Zadehs Suncamo Sun of a Gun 10½ yr snowy faced fawn dog who must have been spectacular in his day. Standing 4 square supporting a substantial body of correct proportions, having abundant energy enabling smooth lithe movement and obviously enjoying his day out as his tail didn’t stop wagging. A credit to his owners.BV. 2.Millers Mullak Handsome Hugo of Brindaree A 71/2 yr old dark brindle boy having a broad head, good expression, dark eye and smart ear set. Another friendly disposition, carrying a little weight but quite acceptable at his age. Preferred the movement of 1. 3. Bromleys Harting Coombe Hill at Spirithill 

CLASS 2 MINOR PUPPY DOG (2) 1.Williams Cwmtysswg Tribune 9 month fawn boy with good pigmentation, clear dark almond eyes and correct ear set. Correct mouth and broad nose, nothing overdone on his pleasing head supported by a strong neck flowing into a nice lay of shoulder. Strong bone on straight legs, keeping his topline on the move. A confident boy moving out well. 2. Edwards Cyberus Churchill 7 month fawn. Muzzle short and broad but would like to see more right angle in profile. Expressive brow with dark eye and mask and well used ears. Plenty to like on this youngster, just moved a little close behind.

CLASS 3 MINOR PUPPY BITCH (0) 

CLASS 4 PUPPY DOG (3) 1. Zadehs Faynad Sun Dog. Gorgeous fawn boy, just 6 months at his first show, and full of confidence. I can picture his face as I write, his correctly proportioned head with breadth and depth, his black mask and clear dark eyes, which will tighten up as his head develops, and his gentle expression. Correct mouth, alert ears and strong muscular neck. Lovely bone on straight legs set wide apart with filled fore chest and deep brisket. Good topline kept on the move just needs to let down on his stifle but that’s just part of growing. BPD 2. Faceys Lionguard Ooh Aah Cantona of Wiggenhall 9 month brindle boy with dark eye and good mouth on broad square, nicely proportioned head having a good drop of lip. Good front and lay of shoulders. Nice tight feet moving out well. 3. Hazelwoods Craiglestone Squire Thump

CLASS 5 PUPPY BITCH (4/1) 1. Zadehs Faynad Red Storm The prettiest apricot 6 month girl, litter sister to BPD. Tight hazel eyes with correct bite, dark mask and ears with just enough wrinkle over her brow to produce an interested inquisitive look. Lovely straight sturdy legs set wide apart and 4 square on a filled body, with good fore and aft angulation, creating a lovely outline on the stand. One the judge would most like to take home BPB and pipped her brother for BPIS. 2. Bowderys Morganlefays Iron Maiden 10 month dark brindle having loads of energy on the move. A pleasing head with tight eyes, plenty of breadth and depth, yet retaining femininity. Front not quite as filled as 1 but deep in chest and having lovely tight feet, looking very nice in the stand. 3. Chapmans Halberd Carla 

CLASS 6 JUNIOR DOG (4/2) 1. Whelans Toadhall Mr Bumble of Arleith (Imp NZ) Dark 14 month brindle boy with broad skull and square head planes, good mouth and dark eye. Expressive high set and well used ears. Great strength throughout having a muscular arched neck and good front. A little straight in stifle but moved with purpose keeping his topline.BJ 2. Foxs Thomaster Harvester Another super brindle boy of 12 months having a boxy head in proportion to his torso which had a deep broad brisket and plenty of bone. More forefront and better rear angulation than 1, but not quite as good on the move.

CLASS 7 YEARLING DOG (1) 1. Jones Faynad Aethelston Pleasing 20 month brindle boy having good breadth of top skull accentuated by good ear set and powerful neck. Good slope of shoulder with filled front and deep chest, elbows tucked in. Neat feet on sturdy legs with a lovely outline in the stand and producing smooth steady movement. 

CLASS 8 POST GRADUATE DOG (8/3) 1. Popps Cyberus Apollo of Penychen first of two spectacular fawn litter brothers just 20 months old, both so alike they will change places many times I’m sure. Correctly proportioned head framed by neat dark ears, good dentition, full mask and the darkest eyes. Lovely strong bone and correct front and rear angulation. Good topline and tail set with a well defined muscular second thigh. Moving so well and winning over his brother today on strength and steadiness in the stand. 2, Edwards Cyberus Kapono having so many of his litter brothers attributes and a pleasure to go over. Great futures ahead and both a credit to their breeder and handlers. 3 Jones & Daisic Our Adminisrator

CLASS 9 LIMIT DOG (2/1) 1.Andrews Midas Assisi at Cyberus (Imp DEU) fawn 23 month old boy who made me gasp as he entered the ring. Everything about him was breed standard from his nose to his tail. Presenting the very best outline and exuding power and defined musculature he swept around the ring with ease, extending his legs and driving from his strong hindquarters. Had to be called back in to gain RBD & RBIS 

CLASS 10 OPEN DOG (1) 1. Andrews Collateral To The Future Bailey at Cyberus (IKC) After my excitement at the previous class I was once again thrilled by this wonderful fawn exhibit. Just a month junior but having a fraction more maturity than the limit dog. Substantial and powerful throughout with plenty of bone to support his muscular torso having well rounded ribs and elbows neatly tucked in. Pleasing tail set of ample length and the smoothest gait. His head typical of the breed and his temperament relaxed and confident. A pleasure to go over and award him BD & BIS

CLASS 11 JUNIOR BITCH (5) 1. Benzies Fayad Princess of Saxony 16 month fawn bitch with a very pleasing feminine head framed by alert well set ears and expressive wrinkle on her forehead. Good outline in the stand with correct angulation, depth and breadth throughout and good croup and tail set. A little shy due to lack of experience in the ring but I was able to get my hands on her to assess her qualities. Moved nicely but needs to set off a little faster to avoid pacing. 2.Faceys Karolinka Debra-Damo of Wiggenhall ImpCZE) first of two 13 month old litter sisters, brindle with alert expressive features and well used ears. A crested neck setting off her shape, of pleasing proportions, in the stand. Moved out well. 3. Faceys Kamilka Debra-Damo of Wiggenhall (Imp CZE) 

CLASS 12 YEARLING BITCH (1/1)

CLASS 13 POST GRADUATE BITCH (3/2) !. Hazelwoods Cadermist Elizabeth Kingrock 2 yr old fawn bitch with aloof expression on pleasing head, having dark mask and hazel eyes. A muscular crested neck flowing into good shoulders a well filled fore chest and wide standing front legs. Good depth of brisket and correct rear angulation with a high set tail and well defined second thigh enabling good driving movement.

CLASS 14 LIMIT BITCH (4/2) 1. Andrews Quincy Vallee Des Mounches At Cyberus (Imp BELG) It seems this kennel has a very good eye for its breed as I see I have given their imports consistent top placings today. This 21 month dark brindle girl possessed correct conformation, filled front, plenty of substance and quality, with the best angulation, A little heavy in flews but altogether very pleasing and outstanding on the move. BB & BOS 2. Nuttalls Swainsi Eye Candy 2yr old apricot girl not as animated as 1 but having a good head and mouth. Would prefer a tighter eye but plenty to like.

CLASS 15 OPEN BITCH (1) 1. Faceys Hexnorden Everlong for Nordicface 3 1/1 yr old fawn girl with a lovely dark mask, dark eye and correct bite. Plenty of breadth and depth of body and muscled throughout. Agile on the move and pleasing in the stand.
