I have judged and shown at this show on a number of occasions so it was especially nice to be invited back. It is a friendly show and everyone works hard to make it run smoothly. Not easy at this time of year and with the changeable weather. So well done to the Show Committee and the helpers. I had some very nice dogs to judge, shown in good clean condition. So, thank you to all.

COLLIE (ROUGH) JD/B (2,0), 1 Mrs. R.D & Mrs. D.A. Legge, Kalzan Love Young Dream: A 15mth old s/w Bitch of pleasing type and out-line. She has a pleasing head and ear-set, good length to neck, good shoulders and depth of brisket. Good back, neat rear with good angles, nice tail set, well off for coat with plenty of under-coat, moved out ok.     2 Mrs. R.D & Mrs. D.A. Legge, Kalzan Love You Inside Out: I preferred this bitch to her litter sister above, but she was throwing her front and she needs to settle and tighten up. Her head is well balanced with a lovely expression, good muzzle, lovely eyes, good skull, bit of a lazy ear but that should correct itself. Her back end and movement need to strengthen which should come with exercise and time.

PGD/B (3,0), 1 Mrs. R.D & Mrs. D.A. Legge, Kalzan Can’t Stop Loving You: Another 15mth old s/w litter sister to the previous class. She is nice and of a good type with a nice out-line, shown in good coat with a nice under-coat. She has a feminine head with a pleasing expression, nice eyes and skull, neat neck and front, nice body and back end. She was also steady on the move. I was pleased to award her BOB.    2 Mrs. H. Lyall, Santaloly’s Sky Amidalas: A 4yr old s/w bitch that is out of coat at present. She is of a pleasing type with a nice out-line with a nice head and front, firm back, neat back end, moved out ok. Would love to see her in coat. 3 Mrs. R.D & Mrs. D.A. Legge, Kalzan Kissed By An Angel: Another of the 15mth old s/w litter sisters. This one likes her food, just needs to lose a bit of weight. Saying that she does have good muscles, so is not lazy, just a bit un-shapely at present.

BORDER COLLIE JD/B (4,0), 1 P. Hartfield, Moshanto May Contain Nuts: A 7mth old b/w dog that won this class easily. He is very easy on the eye and I loved his out-line and type. He has a correct bite and muzzle, good eye, soft and gentle and inquisitive, good skull and ear set. Excellent neck, loved his front with that correct wither, which is missing in some, good depth of brisket for age, good back and neat rear end. Nice croup and tail set of good length, good angles to rear with neat hocks. He was expertly handled and very steady on the move especially for his age, handled the ring well. Won BP & later Past. Puppy Grp1. Well done.   2 Mrs. G.E Croft & Mr. C.J. Peters, Falconmoor Movie Star: A 6mth old b/w dog of a nice type and out-line. He is a neat dog of good size, just needs to settle a little. He has a good head and eye, good neck and front. Nice back, pleasing back end with nice angles.   3 Mrs. Farmer, Bhavya Baji: An 11mth old b/w bitch that is well up to size. Pleasing out-line and type. Let down on movement today, needs firmer handling.   4 Miss. T.A.P Cooper, Moshanta Midsummer Dream: A 12mth old b/w bitch, head could be better. She needs to mature up a bit. She is of a pleasing type and is steady on the move.

PGD/B (4,0), 1 Mr. J. Harmer, Florauna Aim For The Moon: A 2yr old b/w bitch, what a character. There are times when the character alone dominated the ring and today, she did. She kept her eye on me all the time and it was obvious she liked me, what could I do I was smitten, she earned her 1st place. She is of a pleasing type with a nice out-line, that moved well and made everybody smile. Thank you for bringing her.   2 Mrs. D. Greaves, Moshanta Midnight Hour: A 2yr old b/w dog. Neat dog of good type and out-line. Front not his fortune but he has a pleasing back end which showed in his movement. Deserved his placing.   3 Mrs. G.E. Croft & Mr. C.J. Peters, Falconmoor Love Me Do: A b/w bitch rising 2yrs or age. A pleasing bitch of a nice type and out-line. Just felt that she did not want to be here today, no oomph. Pity.   4 Miss. T.A.P Cooper, Moshanta Mystic Maiden: A 2.6yr old b/w bitch that let her self-down on the move. Would like to have seen a shorter back.

OD/B (4,0Abs), 1 A. Hartfield, Moshanta Movin on JW, Sh.CM, Sh.CEX: A 2yr old b/w bitch of excellent type and out-line, nicely balanced. She has a good bite and muzzle, nice soft expression, good stop and skull, good ear-set. Nice length of neck, particularly liked her withers and her good shoulders, her front legs are well under her. She has a strong level back and good strong back end with good angles, and neat hocks. Good tail set and length of tail. She moved out easily around the ring and I had no hesitation in awarding her BOB and later Pastoral Grp3. In a very strong group. Well done.   2 Mrs. Farmer, Taranza Moondancer At Bhavya: A 5yr old b/w bitch of a pleasing type, that is slightly bigger than 1st placing. Her coat seemed a little fluffy for me, however she was pleasing on the move and has plenty of muscle.   3 Mrs. D. Greaves, Moshanta Midnight Hour: As above.   4 Mrs. G.E. Croft & Mr. C.J. Peters, Falconmoor Love Me Do: As above.

AVNSC PASTORAL PGD/B (4,4), 1 Mrs. S.V. Delemare, Madincrowd Robin: Lancashire Heeler. A 5yr old dog that stood alone in this class. Fortunately for the handler the dog knew what to do. He is neat looking dog, just a bit a wide on the front. Moved out ok.

OD/B (4,2Abs), 1 Coulson, Camboni & Malagre, Mr. B.J. & Mrs. S. MME E. MME K., Oye-Dragon-Willow Des Contamines At Woodhenge, (Imp.): Welsh Corgi (Pembroke). A 17mth s/w of super type and out-line that showed his socks off. He has a super head, correct bite, excellent muzzle, lovely expression. Good eyes and skull, excellent ear set and ears. Lovely length of neck onto well laid shoulders, excellent front with legs well under him, good brisket and plenty of bone. Good length to back, nice and strong, excellent rear with good tail set and good angles with plenty of muscles ending in neat hocks. He moved out well around the ring. Pleased to award him BOB and Pastoral Grp 1. Heard later that he gained his JW on the day. Subject to KC. Congratulations.    2 Mr. N. Hood, Ch. Arnscroft Din Nah Sawr US Rex, Sh.CM: Norwegian Buhund.  A 9yr old dog of super quality shame there had to be a 2nd. He is of a super type with a good out-line and very masculine, showed himself off well. He has a masculine head, good bite and muzzle, good stop and eye, lovely skull and ear-set. Strong neck of correct length, neat front with good angles and deep brisket. Liked his neat tuck-up, good strong back with good tail set and angles to rear and neat hocks. Very smart throughout moved very well. He went on to win Best Pastoral Veteran and Best Veteran in Show. Becoming the 1st Buhund to win his Veteran Warrant Subject to KC Approval. Many Congratulations a great day for both exhibitors.

AV PASTORAL PD/B (3,1), 1 Misses. E. & J. Allen, Malaroc Walking On Sunshine: Shetland Sheepdog. A 10mth old s/w bitch of good size, well up on size for age. Pleasing head, neat front, good back, shown in plenty of coat. Moved out well.    2 Mrs. G.E. & Mr. C.J Croft & Peters, Falconmoor Puzzle: Border Collie. A 6mth old tri colour dog, a bit of a handful on the day, needs to settle down, then you can have some fun with him. He is of a pleasing disposition, but difficult to assess.

OD/B (5,1Abs), 1 Misses E. & J. Allen, Kelgrove Blue Heaven: Shetland Sheepdog. An 8yr old tri coloured bitch that is of pleasing type and out-line and still looking good for her age. She has a pleasing head and neck, good body, neat front and rear. Moved out well.   2 Mrs. A., Mr. G. & Mrs. D. Slaughter & Parson, Kintaro Valencia With Franzille: GSD. A 3yr old bitch of top size. A pleasing type with lots of substance. Moved out soundly and deserved her place.   3 Mr. J. Harmer, Florauna Aim For The Moon: Border Collie. B. As before.   4 Mrs. S.V. Delemare, Madincrowd Robin: Lancashire Heeler. D. As before.

Laversuch, Stormyisles Sound Of Music At Pacarane, JW: Shetland Sheepdog. A very pretty 9yr old s/w bitch of a nice type and out-line. Moved out well around the ring.   4 Mrs. L.S. Creamer, Lyngarso Ebony Ice: Shetland Sheepdog. D. A 9yr old tri coloured dog of nice type and out-line, well off for coat. Moved out ok.

PASTORAL ADULT GROUP 1 Coulson, Camboni & Malagre, Mr. B.J. & Mrs. S. MME E. MME K., Oye-Dragon-Willow Des Contamines At Woodhenge, (Imp.): Welsh Corgi (Pembroke) D. As before.    2 Mrs. L.S. Creamer, Clanavon Touch Of Blue At Lyngarso: Shetland Sheepdog. A 16mth old blue merle bitch of a good type and out-line with a very feminine head and good ear-set. Good front with reachy neck and firm back, neat back end, moved well. I liked her a lot.   3 Mrs. A. Hartfield, Moshanta Movin On, JW, Sh.CM: Border Collie. B. As before.    4 Mrs. M.J. & M. R.A. Lock, Casyka’s Yess (Imp. NLD: Belg, Shep. Dog (Groenendael). A 4yr old dog in good coat. He is a nice type and out-line and is of a good size, and well balanced. Also is very nice on the move.

TONY WILLIAMS MEMORIAL SPECIAL BEGINNERS STAKES - What a wonderful class, unfortunately some very nice dogs were unplaced, but thank you for the superb entry.

SBD/B (33,13), 1 Mrs. C.J. Havercroft, Kilbourne Vega At Dragonsisle: Deerhound. A 15mth old bitch that I absolutely loved. Moved soundly around the ring. Loved her coat.    2 Mrs. McGrath, Teisgol Hot’n Sausey: Pointer. A very pleasing 15mth old dog that is pleasing to the eye and a nice mover.   3 Mrs. J. Sharpe, Tigsisle Make Some Noise: A 4yrs old Whippet dog that is very neat and of pleasing type with a nice out-line. Moved well.   4 Mr. L. Robinson, Skyswift Tennessee Honey: Dachshund (Wire Haired). Dog rising 10mths of age shown in good coat. Lovely mover kept his top-line on the move.   5 Mr. A. Hawkins, Martinks Storm In A Teacup For Lonaza: Dachshund (Min. Wire Haired). Dog. 14mths of age.
