RUGBY & DISTRICT CANINE SOCIETY – Open Show - Siberian Husky

I would like to thank the Officers and Committee for the invitation to Judge Siberian Husky’s at this well-run show. I have judged at this show on previous occasions and I have always enjoyed my time there. The dogs handled the floor well, as it was a wet day. All dogs were well presented and shown in a good clean condition.

SIBERIAN HUSKY JD/B (1,0), 1 Mrs. R.J. Simms, Over The Rainbow Des Sarmentins, (Imp. Fr.): A well grown 10mth old Dog showing a lot of strength for his age. He has a good masculine head, skull, eyes, neat ears, muzzle and a correct bite. Strong muscular neck of good length, good shoulder placement and good angles. Correct upper arm, plenty of bone, tight feet and good depth of brisket. His wither needs to drop a little, should happen as he matures. Good back, would like a little more tuck-up. Nice rear quarters, I particularly liked the angle and length of his second thigh which is well muscled and finishes in neat hocks. He is still playful and has a good temperament will settle with time. Pleased to award him BP and R.BOB.

OD/B (2,0Abs), 1 Mrs. K. Tinker, BK/RS/MK/BALK GR. CH. Zaltana Heartbreaker Kid at Lolotea, (Imp. Pol.), JW: A 2.5yr old dog of great balance and presence. I liked his well-balanced masculine head, lovely expression and softly looking eyes. Excellent muzzle, stop and foreface, good skull and neat ears. Good length of neck, not to bulky, excellent lay of shoulder with good angles and correct upper arm. His front legs are well under him and he has a good depth of brisket. Strong straight back, very nice tuck up, well defined, but not over racy. Neat rear with good angles, just would like to see a tad more angle to second thigh, that is nit picking. Excellent hocks straight and true. Excellent tail set, of good length and bushy. I liked his lovely balanced movement, moving fore and aft across the floor, making the corners look easy. Pleased to award him BOB and to see him take Work. Grp 1. Many Congratulations.

2 Mrs. R.J. Simms, Multi/Int./GR./MNE/BE/NL. CH. Hernando Of Settlers Bay at Arcticskies, JW, Sh.CM, (Imp, Fr.): A 7yr old dog with a very masculine head, well balanced for size, good bite and muzzle, good eyes. Nice size skull and neat ears. Neck is ok, would like it just a little longer. Felt his front was just a little wider, good lay back and angles to shoulder, plenty of bone and deep chest. Good back and strong rear end, plenty of muscles to rear with nice angles. Good tail set and bushy tail. Moved out well over the floor. Overall a well-balanced dog of a good type. Well done.
