GRAVESEND AND MEDWAY TOWNS CANINE SOCIETY – Open Show Held on: Sunday 20th October 2019

Many thanks to the Secretary and Committee for the Invitation to judge at the above show. I enjoyed spending my day with you all and I had the pleasure of judging some super dogs. Judging mainly took place outside in a large spacious concrete ring, although it was cold, it was dry. Luckily the rain held off. Most exhibitors were prepared for a change in the weather and all exhibits were shown in a good clean condition.

AVNSC WORKING PD/B (7,4), 1 Mr. & Mrs. Allen, Jodipas Just In Time: Rottweiler. A well grown 9mth old dog that has a good out-line and is of a good type. He has a masculine head with a correct bite and muzzle. Good stop and eye, well-formed skull and ear set. Liked his length of neck and well laid shoulders, deep brisket and spring of rib. He is well off for bone and his front legs are well under him. Good back, nice and strong, excellent croup and tail set, good angles to rear and neat hocks. He moved well using the whole of the ring to his advantage. Pleased to award him Res. BOB and BP. Later winning PG3 in very strong group.    2 Mrs. W. & Mr. I. Kitchenside, Ausries A Perfect Storm: Rottweiler. A 6mth old dog that is also well grown for age. Although he was giving away 3mths in age to 1st. He is also of a nice type and out-line. He has a good head, skull and ear-set, correct bite and muzzle, good stop and eye. Neck, chest and front ok, plenty of bone. Tail-set could have been better and he was just a little straight in stifle. Moved steadily around the ring.    3 Mrs. E. Palser, Rarjo Goblet Of Fire At Kagamasu: Portuguese Water Dog. An 8mth old dog with a really nice out-line and of nice type. He is really eye-catching with a nice well-balanced head, neat neck and front. Nice rear with nice angles. He just needs to tighten up a little as he is still rather loose on the move.     4 Mr. R. & Mrs. M. Austen, Ausries Whirl Wind: Rottweiler. A 6mth B.

J D/B (5,2), 1 Mr. G.J, Mrs. T.A. & Misses. E.G & F.L. Coldwell, Zentaur This Is Jam Hot, (AI): Newfoundland. A 16mth old brown bitch with a very neat out-line and of pleasing type. She was very well handled with the handler getting the best from her. She has a very feminine head and expression, good bite and muzzle, eye and stop. Good skull and ear set. Nice length of neck, good front with legs well under her and deep brisket. Neat back, with good back end and tail set. Nice angles to rear and neat hocks. She was very steady on the move, covering the whole of the ring. Pleased to award her BOB and Grp.    2. Well done. 2 Miss. L. Wheaton, Ausries The Real Thing For Acinonyx: Rottweiler. A 6mth old dog that is well grown for his age. Nice type and out-line. He is unfortunately very loose on the move at the moment. Could have a better front.    3 Miss. Johnson, Weysbrook Mustang Sally: Rottweiler. An 11.6mth old dog that was very friendly and happy. He was a bit of a handful and thought of everything as a game. I was not able to assess the movement which was a shame as he is of a nice type with a nice out-line. Loved his temperament.

PGD/B (3,0), 1 Mr. G.J, Mrs. T.A. & Misses. E.G & F.L. Coldwell, Zentaur This Is Jam Hot, (AI): Newfoundland. As before.    2 Miss. N. Love, Showbull Country Bumpkin: Tibetan Mastiff. A 21mth old upstanding dog that is of a pleasing type with a nice out-line. He has pleasing head properties. Good front and plenty of body and pleasing rear. He is just a little lazy on the move, needs to liven up a-little.    3 Miss. Johnson, Weysbrook Arizona Phoenix: Rottweiler. A dog rising 4.6yrs of age that has a neat head. Un-fortunately he is very timid and I could not assess him properly. Felt he needed better handling.

OD/B (2,1Abs), 1 Miss. Johnson, Weysbrook Arizona Phoenix: Rottweiler. As before.

BOXER JD/B (2,0), 1 Miss M. & Mrs. G. Hawkins & Weller, Geenawell KA Ching For Mellhawk: A 6.5 mths old brindle bitch of very nice type with a neat out-line and stance. She has a very feminine head of good proportions, good neck and front. Good back and excellent back end which she used to good effect on the move. Very pleasing on the eye, I liked her. Pleased to award her Res.BOB, BP and later PG4. Well done.    2 Mrs. J. & Mr. P. Longley, Attomic Mirror Man, (AI): A 16mth old sable dog with a super head that is very masculine. Excellent neck and front, very eye catching. Excellent depth of chest and good strong back. His second thigh is a little too long, resulting in a peddling motion and his hocks were crossing as he moved away.

OD/B (1,0), 1 Mrs. G. Weller, Hollijon Tooty Fruity For Geenawell: A 2yr old brindle bitch of excellent type and out-line. She has a very pleasing feminine head with a nice eye and good skull. Good length of neck and neat shoulder placements, good depth of chest and spring of rib. Nice back and very neat rear end with good tail set. Neat angles to rear ending in tidy hocks. She moved soundly around the ring. Pleased to award her BOB and later Grp4. Well done.

DOBERMANN OD/B (4,2), 1 Miss T.M., Mrs. J. & Miss V., Tousent & Ingram, Jojavik Camorra, JW, Sh.CM: A 2yr old bitch, well grown for her age. She is a good type with a super out-line and very feminine through-out. Super head and front assembly, good back, neat rear and tail set. Good angles to rear and very smart on the move. Pleased to award her BOB and later Grp.3 in a very competitive group.    2 Miss L. Wright, Amazon American Graffiti With Sealandair: A well grown 3yr old dog of a good type and out-line. Pity he came up against the 1st as he moved well. Still I was pleased to award him Res. BOB.

SIBERIAN HUSKY JD/B (1,0), 1 Mrs. R.J. Simms, Over The Rainbow Des Sarmentins, (Imp Fr.): A 10mth old dog of nice type and stance that was looking very smart with his neat out-line. He was very settled on the move. I was pleased to award him BP and Res. BOB. Later went on to win PG2. Well done.

PGD/B (5,1), 1 Miss. S. Norley, Arcticskies Bold As Brass With Snodiva, JW: A very smart 19mth old feminine bitch that is of a lovely type with a nice out-line. She has a nicely balanced head and good eye, strong neck and front also good depth of chest. Front legs are well under her. Strong back very neat rear with good angles and neat hocks. Moved out well around the ring. Pleased to award her BOB and later Grp.1. Congratulations.    2 Mr. C. & Mrs. J. Nicholls, Arcticskies Black Truffle For Shyllar: Litter sister to 1st and very smart has a better front assembly to 1st but needs to tighten up all through which showed in her movement.    3 Mr. M. & Miss. T. Riley & Codling, Dexters Adventure Eskimoski Domek: A 4yr old dog of nice type and out-line, just needs to settle on the move. He has good strength throughout. Shame about the movement.    4 Mr. A. Eagles, La Dam Latea Dark Desire (Imp. Pol.): Bitch.

OD/B (5,1), 1 Mr. C. & Mrs. J. Nicholls, Arcticskies Got It Flaunt It For Shyllar: 3yr old bitch of good type with a nice out-line, neat head and front. Firm back and neat angles to rear. Very impressive and moved out well. Just did not shine in the challenge today.    2 Mrs. R.J. Simms, Arcticskies Glory Awaits, JW, Sh.CM.: A 6yr old dog of good size and type with a nice out-line. There is plenty of him and he moved well. Deserved his placing today.    3 Mr. M. & Miss T. Riley & Codling, Dexters Amour Eskimoski Domek: A 4yr old well grown dog that’s front could be better, which showed in his movement. That said he is of a pleasing type.    4 Mr. A. Eagles, Pelenrise Brite Encounters, JW, Sh.CM: Dog rising 4yrs of age. I loved this dog; he has muscles to die for and he is put together nicely. Unfortunately, just would not settle which was a shame.

WORKING ADULT GROUP 1 Miss. S. Norley, Arcticskies Bold As Brass With Snodiva, JW: B. Siberian Husky. As before.    2 Mr. G.J., Mrs. T.A. & Misses E.G. & F.L. Coldwell, Zentaur This Is Jam Hot, (AI): Newfoundland. B. As before.    3 Miss T.M., Mrs. J. & Miss V. Tousent & Ingram, Jojavik Camorra, JW, Sh.CM: Doberman. B. As before.    4 Mrs. G. Weller, Hollijon Tooty Fruity For Geenawell: Boxer. B. As before.

WORKING PUPPY GROUP 1 Mr. G. & Mrs. S. Gendler, Yakee Tigers Eye: Bull Mastiff. D. Just 6mths of age and well grown of a very pleasing type and out-line. He powered himself around the ring using all of the large ring available. Well done.    2 Mrs. R. J. Simms, Over The Rainbow Ds Sarmentings, (Imp. Fr.): Siberian Husky. D. As before.    3 Mr. & Mrs. Allen, Jodipas Just In Time: Rottweiler. D. As before.    4 Miss M. & Mrs. G. Hawkins & Weller, Geenawell KA Ching For Mellhawk: B. As before.

AVNSC PASTORAL PD/B (2,1), 1 Mr. C. & Mrs. M. Woods, Greit Boss: Samoyed. An 8mth old puppy dog that is well grown for his age, and was shown in plenty of coat. He is of a pleasing type with a nice out-line and was absolutely full of himself. He just needs to settle, but he has time on his side. Pleased to award him BP and later PG2.

JD/B (2,0), 1 Mrs. J. Wilson, Jandade Precious Blossom: Briard. Fawn bitch just over 12mths of age that is neat looking and of a nice type with a nice out-line. She has a good front and back end and she moved nicely. Liked her a lot. Would like to see her in a year’s time.    2 Mr. C. & Mrs. M. Woods, Greit Boss: Samoyed. As before.

PGD/B (3,0Abs), 1 Mr. D., Mrs. K. & Miss S. Angier & Stacey, Icon De Bruine Buck At Birkcross, (Imp. NDL): (Groenendael). A 2yr old dog that stood well and showed himself off well. He has a good head and strong neck, neat front and good depth of chest. Neat rear with a good croup and tail set. Good angles to rear. Moved well. Liked him a lot, excellent type and out-line. Pleased to award him Res.BOB.    2 Mrs. J. Wilson, Jandade Precious Blossom: Briard. Bitch as before.    3 G.M. & C.K. Goodman, Lisjovia Avicii With Annanya: Pyrenean Mountain Dog. An 18mth old dog of a very pleasing type with a nice out-line. Pity he came up against 1 and 2 in this class as I liked him a lot. He moved well around the ring. Would like to see him again in the future.

OD/B (3,0Abs), 1 Mrs. J. Day, Starvon Ziva: Swedish Vallhund. A 5yr old bitch that really moved well around the ring. She is of a pleasing type with a nice out-line and a nice balanced head. Good strong neck, good front and strong back and strong back end. Pleased to award her BOB and later Grp. 4. Well done.    2 Mr. D., Mrs. K. & Miss S. Angier & Stacey, Ewbel True Blue Avec Bilyara: (Australian Shepherd). A 2yr old Blue Merle bitch of a good type with a nice out-line and plenty of body. Good angles to front and rear. Moved well. Pity came up against 1st today.    3 Mr. C. & Mrs. M. Woods, Greit Boss: Samoyed. As before.

GERMAN SHEPHERD DOG PGD/B (3,0), 1 Mr. & Mrs. R. Austen, Deroausts Brough Superior: A 3yr old bitch that moved the best in this class today. She is of a pleasing type and has a nice out-line. Was shown in top condition so deserved her placing. Pleased to award her Res. BOB.    2 Mr. M. & Mr. R. Pucknell & Palmer, Nellinka Great Expectation: A bitch rising 2yrs of age that I prefer in type, but she just wasn’t as good on the move today, and handler knew this. She is a lovely type with a good out-line, pity as I loved her. 3 Mrs. K. Ede, Zivixer Darling: A 19mth old bitch that needs to come on and tighten all through as she is very loose on the move.

OD/B (2,0Abs), 1 Mr. M. & Mr. R. Pucknell & Palmer, Nllinka Christmas Hades: A dog rising 2yrs of age of excellent type with a good out-line. He has a masculine head and a correct bite and muzzle, good dark eyes and good skull. Strong neck with a lovely front, his legs are well under him. Deep brisket and good spring of rib. Good strong back and good rear end with good angles. Moved well. Pleased to award him BOB and later Grp.1. Well done.    2 Mrs. P. Milham, Shadowshacks My Girl: A 2.6yr old bitch of a pleasing type and out-line. Un-fortunately she tended to just plod around the ring and was looking for its owner outside the ring.

COLLIE (Rough) PGD/B (2,1), 1 Miss D. Rutherford, Riverside Song Unbreakable Heart At Kelbewood: A 2yr old bitch, that stood alone in this class. She has a good coat but was rather lazy and in soft condition throughout. Did not move at all well today. Res.BOB.

OD/B (2,1), 1 Mrs. G.W. Dinnadge, Bellcot Silver Petal: A 7.6yr old b/m bitch with a good out-line and of a nice type. She is well balanced with plenty of muscle and well up on her toes. I had no hesitation in awarding her BOB. She powered easily around the ring.

SHETLAND SHEEPDOG JD/B (3,0), 1 Mrs. D.K., Evad Halloween Queen: An 11mth old s/w bitch of good type and outline, not the best of fronts, but she used her virtues well. Neat head and ear set and neck. Strong back and neat back end with nice angles and tidy hocks. Pleased to award her BOB and Grp.3.    2 Miss. M. Rennison, Kayla Kiss Ze Shetlandu By Zaniah, (Imp. CZE): An 8mth old b/m bitch, very neat and nice type with a nice out-line. Lots to like about her, beaten today on maturity. Moved well. Would like to see her in the future.    3 Ms. S. Standen, Kaimeadow Dusty Magic: A 10mth old s/w dog that is well grown for age. He is of a pleasing type with a nice out-line. Pity that he came up against the other 2. Moved out okay.

PGD/B (1,0), 1 B. Straw, Dukeson Sweeter Than Wine: A 20mth old s/w bitch that was shown in plenty of coat. She is of a good type with a neat out-line. I particularly liked her front assembly and neat rear and hocks. Shame that she was so lethargic on the move today. Will have a better day.

OD/B (3,0Abs), 1 Mrs. D.K. Weller, Carolelen Cascading Stars For EVAD: Rising 3yrs of age s/w bitch that out moved all in this class. She is the dam of the BOB so still a little out of coat but in good condition. She is a good type with a nice out-line and stance. Pleased to award her Res.BOB and 4th in the Reserve BOB Stakes. Well done.    2 Miss. M. Rennison, Esterbon Bi Storm Zaniah: A 3yr old b/w bitch that moved very well. She has a very neat out-line and is of a nice type. Lots to like about her.    3 Mrs. L. Fagg, Dukeson Golden Fleece For Lynscot: A 19mth old s/w dog with a neat out-line and of a nice type. Unfortunately, he was just so lethargic today, did not shine. Pity as he was shown in good coat and looked a picture standing.

PASTORAL ADULT GROUP 1 Mr. M. & Mr. R. Pucknell & Palmer, Nellinka Christmas Hades: GSD. D. As before.    2 Mr. D., Mrs. K. & Miss S. Angier & Stacey, Tullacrest Signd Syld Delivered To Bilyara, (Imp. Aus. (Border Collie). A 4yr old b/w dog that is just up my street, very smart, of a lovely type and out-line and a super mover. He was handled superbly; pity he came up against the 1st.            3 Mrs. D.K., Evad Halloween Queen: Shetland Sheepdog. B. As before.    4 Mrs. J. Day, Starvon Ziva: Swedish Vallhund. B. As before.

Weller, Baalzebul Constance For Geenawell: Bulldog. A very smart 3yr old Bulldog bitch that moved out very well and stood well in the ring.    3 Miss S. Barkley, Chanangel Mr Whodat At Cherryheath: Welsh Springer Spaniel. A 14mth old dog that was looking great. Moved out well.    4 Mrs. D.K. Weller, Carolelen Cascading Stars For EVAD: Shetland Sheepdog. B. As before.    5 Mrs. C. & Mr. N. Bristow, Saffini Love Of My Life For Avard: Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. Dog. 7mths of age that is very nice. Moved well.
