Anglesey Canine Society

Anglesey CS staged a successful 291-class premier open show at the Agricultural show Ground, Anglesey on 4th May attracting an entry of 497 dogs. From a line-up of 7 quality exhibits it was my pleasure to award BIS to the French Bulldog, Rowendale Hobnob Wildax and RBIS to the Maltese, Vouzime Queen Elsa Over Samorrey. BPIS was the 9 month old Irish Wolfhound, Caredig Donovan and RBIS the 7-month old Lhasa Apso, Remrah High Flyer At Culversapso. BVIS was the 10-year old Tibetan Spaniel, Sidenvagens Kisses of Fire At Mennimoonz (Imp) and RBVIS the 8-year old English Springer Spaniel, Trimere Total Obsession with Trixhund Sh.CM. 

AKITA: PG: (1,1) None present; O: (1,0) 1. Hocking’s Harivo’s Hot To Trot, BOB, mature exhibit, pleasing body shape, outline and proportions, typical head, eye, expression and pleasing ear placement, balanced construction and typical gait. 

BOSTON TERRIER: PG: (4, 4) None Present; O: (2,2) None present. 

CHOW CHOW: PG: (1,0) Carey’s Shilan De Los Perros, BP, very pleasing youngster of 7 months, good shape, size and proportions, typical head, eye and expression, well set and carried tail, typical gait. 0: () 1. Carey’s Diamond Hope Norces (Imp), BOB, mature example, pleasing head properties, pure colour, pleasing construction and balance, .good bone, correct feet, pleasing profile action. 

FRENCH BULLDOG: J: (9, 2) 1. Omar’s Coltington The Nightingale, BP, 6 months female, pleasing head with good balance of skull and muzzle, good eye shape and placement with appealing expression, strong neck, pleasing construction and body shape, sturdy quarters, active mover, coat colour needs to clear; 2. Owen’s Roscos Cauzin Chaos, 13months male, masculine build and appearance, appeals in head properties, good rib, preferred front assembly and overall shape and outline of winner; 3. Green’s Alonzobar Percy, ; PG: (5, 2) 1. R Cauzin Chaos; 2. Omar’s Coltington The Ballerina, litter mate to BP, similar style and pattern but not as pleasing in front assembly and not so well finished in croup and quarters; 3. Tynan-Jones’ Camdenlee Ace of Diamonds. O: (6, 1) 1. Davis and Wildman’s Rowendale Hobnob Wildax, very handsome male of 20 months, grand head, eye and expression, pure coat colour, attractive shading of muzzle and eye rims, well placed dark and expressive eye of pleasing shape, strong neck, pleasing depth and width of fore-chest, well ribbed, short and strong loin, balanced construction with well laid shoulder, pleasing croup, strong quarters, very active mover with a balanced and impressive gait. 2. Abbot’s Alonzobar Rita Ora, 6-year old female, quality example of the breed, pleases in head properties, body shape and with a steady, clean and tidy gait, pleasing top-line and quarters, unlucky to come up against the more impressive and eye catching winner. 3. Watthey’s Alonzonbar Ellie Goulding. 

JAPANESE SPITZ: J: (3. 0) 1. Aston, Bradley and Bowen’s Glamglow’s Devil In Disguise, 16 months male, pleasing head properties with balanced skull and muzzle, dark expressive eye, balanced outline, good length of rib, typical loin and croup, well coated and steady action; 2. Aston, Bradley and Bowen’s Llwyni Love Story For Glamglow, BP, lot to like about this 11 month-old male, pleasing head, eye and conformation, well coated, stood second to an older and consequently more mature exhibit; 3. Sheldon’s Oozzoo Sweet Jasmine. PG: (5, 1) 1. Aston, Bradley and Bowen’s Glamglow’s Gifted One, very smart 14-months male, masculine build and appearance, very typical character and appearance, pleasing head properties; 2. Aston, Bradley and Bowen’s Glamglow’s Precious Gem, litter sister to winner with many of the same qualities, very feminine in character and outlook, pleasing head, good eye, good coat, well set and carried tail, typical movement; 3. Sheldon’s Oozzoo Sno Wonder. O: () 1. Jones’ Llwyni Stop N’Stare, well presented and handled 3-year old male, well finished body of pleasing depth and strength, balanced construction, good rib, coupling and croup, pleasing tail set and carriage, moved at a steady pace with a true and positive action; 2. Aston, Bradley and Bowen’s Glamview’s Charming As Ever, 2 year-old male, well finished in body, pleasing head properties, good eye and expression, ample coat of good texture, pleasing rib, well coupled, not quite as pleasing in front action and assembly as winner; 3. Aston, Bradley and Bowen’s Glamglow’s Its All About Meme.

LHASA APSO: PG: (2, 0) 1. Culverhouse and Robert’s Remrah High Flyer At Culversapso, BP, BOB, PG1 and RBPIS, male of just over 6 months, a star in the making, balanced head properties, ample coat for age, good flow of neck into withers, with typical front assembly, well-shaped rib cage of good length, good bone and feet, super character and temperament and looks just as impressive on the move as when stacked; 2. Whitehead’s Amdo’s Learnt A Lesson, 13 months male, full coat and very well presented, masculine build and appearance, cast in a somewhat different mould to winner, good bone and feet, steady mover, not quite the style and appeal of the winner. O: (1,0) Green’s Swandown Head Boy Over Sammorey, mature 4-year old male, pleasing coat, good bone and feet, ample ribbing, strong loin with good coupling, balanced head properties, steady mover. 

POODLE (STANDARD): PG: (3, 2) 1. Bull-Harris’ Pendream Inthepink, 3-year old female, pleasing size with ample bone and substance, ample breadth of skull and length of muzzle, strong underjaw, dark eye, stylish mover, would prefer more work in cheek bones to finish off head and expression. O: (3, 2) 1. Bull-Harris’ Christamae Lotties Dream SH.CM, BOB, 6-year old female, pleasing shape and outline, pleasing balance of back skull and muzzle with keen and expressive eye, well textured coat with good depth of colour, well set and carried tail, stylish mover. 

POODLE (TOY): PG: (0,0) No entries; O: (1,0) 1. Bull-Harris’ Plubenture Silver Dream, BOB, good size, type and quality, refined head with typical expression, pleasing leathers, full of character, pleasing bone and feet, well set and carried tail, very active on the move. 

TIBETAN SPANIEL: PG: (3,1) 1. Davies’ Bocara Be My Guest, BP, 10 months male, typical head properties, keen eye and expression, pleasing body length to height ratio, outgoing in character, made the most of himself on the move; 2. Harford’s Velrok Legend of Zorro, 14-months male, similar remarks as made for winner apply, lots to like about him, pleasing shape and outline on the stack, appealing profile action, just thought the winner had the edge going away. O: (2,0) 1. Harford’s Tuyet Elvis Wonder of You At Mennimoonz, BOB, 2-year old male, appealing symmetry and proportion of outline, typical head, eye and expression, good coat, ample bone and substance, firm quarters with impressive drive and propulsion; 2. Davies’ Rocara Rose Gold, 10-months female litter-mate to winner of previous class, many similarities in common with her brother, feminine in appearance and character, nice head, eye and expression, has potential for the future.
