My thanks to the officers and committee for all their hospitality on the day. It was a day to remember as the weather steadily got worse but we all got through and I must say a big thank you to my stewards who coped so well with the conditions and made my days judging so much easier.

Basset Fauve De Bretagne:

Junior 2 entries.

1st Allenby Mr R & Mrs H. Rangali Wispa JW.

My star of the day I absolutely loved this beautiful bitch who just gave her all and never put a foot wrong. Loved her head with a moderately domed skull and a dark eye giving good expression. Well made in her front with shoulders sloping and straight legs. Deep in her chest with her ribs well rounded and carried nicely back. Well bent stifles to her strong muscular rear and nice high set tail carried well. On the move she just flowed around the ring covering the ground with an easy and free stride. Presented in a natural harsh jacket I was pleased to award her B.O.B. 1st in the hound group and 1st in the hound puppy group.

2nd Allenby Mr J.M. & Mrs R. Gouvier Bombay Sapphire.

Another well balanced bitch and again very typical of the breed. Correct in her head and well made front with sternum prominent and her front angulation balancing with her rear she again moved with ease around the ring.

Handsome dog presented in excellent coat and muscle. Medium length head with nice dome to his skull and dark eyes. Straight front with shoulders sloping and set well around his deep chest with well rounded ribs extending well back. Well bent stifles to his rear with good strong hocks he moved around the ring well on a loose lead at all times. R.B.O.B.

1st Robinson Mrs J. Bushoby A New Moon.

Beautiful tri colour bitch who was balanced in her outline. Just enough wrinkling throughout with nothing exaggerated. Good head with a nice dome to her skull, lean foreface and lozenge shaped eyes. Well laid shoulders to her front with short legs and good bone. Her body has good depth with sufficient length and well rounded ribs. Muscular rear with well bent stifles and good strong hocks. She moved smoothly around the ring. R.B.O.B.

Well made dog of correct size. Typical in his head with a dark eye giving good expression all carried well by his muscular neck of good length. Good front with shoulders well laid back and fitting neatly around his chest of ample depth with elbows fitting smoothly to the side. Well padded feet to his front and standing perfectly true on them. Well made rear with good bend to his stifles and strong well let down hocks. He moved well around the ring with good reach in front and drive from behind. B.O.B.

Masculine dog of correct size well balanced in his outline and nicely filling his frame. Well proportioned head of correct shape and good high set ears. Well made front with sloping shoulders and nice straight clean legs. Great depth of chest with nice tuck up to his strong loin. Well angulated rear with good length to his muscular thighs and well let down hocks. He moved effortlessly around the ring with great drive from behind. B.O.B.

Muscular neck leading nicely down to her strong front with shoulders set well back. Good depth of chest and nice tuck up to her underline. Muscular rear with well developed thighs and stifles well bent. She moved well covering the ground with long reaching strides. R.B.O.B.

Handsome brindle dog of correct size full of power but elegant throughout. Correct head, moderately wide and with nice small rose shaped ears. Straight front with strong pasterns, muscular shoulders and his elbows set neatly under his deep chest. Well sprung ribs, carried well back to his short muscular loin. Strong rear with stifles well bent and muscular thighs. Good strong hocks and nice compact feet. On the move he covered the ground quickly with a low reaching striding action. B.O.B. and 2nd in the hound group.

Refined well balanced bitch of correct size. Beautiful head with nice clear almond shaped expressive eyes and well set erect ears. Good length of neck into her well made front with a steep and short shoulder blade. Well made strong rear which complimented her front well. She moved well with good length to her strides my only crirticsm would be she was a little thin for my liking. R.B.O.B.

Finely built bitch of correct size balanced in her outline with a strong muscular front and rear she again moved well with long strides around the ring.

1st Taylor Miss J.L. Falcon crag Valenta.

Very refined and beautifully built bitch of correct size. Pleasing head with a fine long flat skull and typical expression from her almond shaped amber eyes. Slightly arched muscular neck of good length leading down to her well muscled front with sloping shoulders. Long, flat ribcage with good tuck up to her underline into her short muscular loin. Moderate angulation to her well muscled rear with good length of thighs and nice feet with well arched toes. On the move she demonstrated that typical suspended trot covering the ground with ease. B.O.B.

2nd Drake-Brockman Miss C.A. Barnesmore Artemis.

Elegantly built bitch of nice type. Correct in her head with nice erect mobile ears. Well made front with good muscle and shoulders sloping. Good depth of chest and a well muscled short loin. Good rear with long second thighs and plenty of muscle. She again move well around the ring.

Handsome well made dog just starting to fill out his frame well. Good length of head with dark oval shaped eyes. Well made front with good bone, sloping shoulders and elbows tucked neatly under his deep chest. Good length of back leading to his slightly arched loin. Good bend of stifles to his rear with well developed first and second thighs. Presented in good harsh coat he moved with and easy and active stride around the ring. A gracefully built bitch full of power and quality. Correct in her head and well made front and rear assembly all covered with excellent muscle she again moved easily around the ring.

1st Moorhouse Ms C. Austonley’s Epic Miss Take.

Beautiful bitch so typically built full of power but very graceful in her movement. Typical in her head of good length, with long wiry hair over her eyes and under her jaw. Dark oval eyes giving good expression and neat small ears lying close. Muscular long arched neck which leads nicely down to her muscular front with sloping shoulders and strong straight legs. Good length of body and deep in his chest. Muscular rear with long thighs and slightly bent stifles. On the move she used her excellent conformation to cover the ground with an easy, active action. Presented in good harsh coat B.O.B.

2nd Kelly Mrs C.A. Bonaforte’s Kelly’s Hero.

Masculine powerful dog well balanced throughout. Masculine head of nice size and with nice dark eyes. Well made front with strong bone and muscle set neatly around his deep chest. Muscular rear with angulation complimenting his front he covered the ground easily when moving.

Well made straight front with sloping shoulders and good bone. Deep in her chest with moderately sprung ribs and a muscular loin. Good bend of stifles to her well muscled rear. On the move she covered the ground with a free and easy action. B.P.I.B, R.B.O.B. and 4th in the hound puppy group.

Handsome dog who fills his frame well. Correct in his head and well made front with sloping shoulders. Good depth to his chest and a nice ridge along his back. Powerful rear with stifles nicely bent and strong hocks. He moved around the ring with ease.

Handsome upstanding dog full of breed type and presented in excellent muscle with a nice ridge on his back. Correct in his head with a flat skull of good length and broad between his ears. Intelligent expression from his dark round eyes. Good length of neck leading nicely down to his well made front with sloping shoulders. His body is deep with a moderate spring of rib and a slight arch over his loin. Powerful rear with good turn of stifle and strong well let down hocks. He was able to cover the ground well with ease. Good depth of brisket and good cut up to loin. Moderately bent stifles to his muscular rear and good strong hocks. He moved effortlessly around the ring with a steady smooth action. R.B.O.B.

2nd Taylor Mrs A. Swift Igi Of Lanark.

Elegantly built black and tan dog of correct size. Correct in his head and carried well by his muscular long neck when moving. Well made front with sloping shoulders set neatly onto his body with sufficient depth. His rear compliments his front and again was well muscled which allowed him great freedom in his movement.

Nice tuck up to her underline leading to her muscular loin. Well made in her rear with moderate bend of stifles, muscular thighs and good strong hocks. To finish she has a low set tail which she carried out when moving. She moved with excellent reach and drive to cover the ground effortlessly. B.O.B. and 4th in the hound group.

Handsome black and tan dog well balanced throughout. Correct in his head and well made muscular front with sloping shoulders. Good length of body and a powerful rear with his stifles nicely bent and well muscled thighs. He again moved with ease around the ring.

Slight arch to his muscular neck leading down to his well made front with good shoulder placement all set neatly around his deep chest and nice prominent breast bone. Well ribbed chest and good length of back leading nicely to his short well muscled loin. Good angulation to his rear all covered in firm muscle. On the move he covered the ground easily with good length to his stride and driving well from behind.

Elegant and gracefully built ten year old dog, well balanced throughout. Dark oval eyes set nicely on his long narrow skull. Strong muscular neck leading down to his sloping shoulders.
