I would like to thank the committee for the invitation to judge in this beautiful setting. A long and hot day with a lovely atmosphere and it was nice to hear applause after each class.

Best in Show

I was pleased to see the line up of group winners before me. Some very good quality exhibits all competing after a long day. Best in Show was the Borzoi ChUjay Kalinow at Menigma JW ShCM (Imp) Pinkerton. This chap was on form today and looked stunning as he entered the ring to compete for best in show. Balanced in outline and moving in a graceful yet powerful side gait. Head long and lean with good veining, neat ears and a keen expression. Very well put together and showing typical topline. Hard condition and beautifully presented. Covered the ground with ease and style and had good width behind. Could not be denied Best in Show.

Reserve Best in Show was the Lhasa Apso Belazieth Sundance Kid with Alamiks – Barnet & Carter

Smart dog presenting a balanced outline, beautifully presented and had a cracking character with a little bit of mischief. Slightly longer than tall, well put together throughout, firm in topline and had good carriage going around the ring. Moved out well with a jaunty action.

Best Puppy in Show

Hungarian Vizsla Sargasbarna Rocket Man by Pirospont – Roe

At just 6 months this young chap was very balanced and well put together. He is masculine without being over done and correct for his age. Presents a clean and balanced outline, good skeletal construction and this showed in his very accurate movement for one so young. He had a long day but did not faulter at all and I was pleased to award him BPIS.

Reserve Best Puppy in Show. Pug – Bringiton Ming Moon at Taysace – Taylor

This young lady had such a super character and was up for the challenge ahead of her. Cobby and well balanced with good length of leg and just the right amount of substance. Best Veteran in Show

Some super exhibits in this challenge, such a shame I could only choose one.

At just over 10 years old this grand old chap certainly defies his age. Presents a typy outline, nothing over done and in such super muscular development he was a pleasure to go over. Good head and expression, strong neck and good span to the rib. Coat harsh. He was very accurate on the move and covered the ground in an unsteady manner.
